MOSS HUMIDIFIERThese are natural moss and an electric humidifier of artifact rolled into one.

Cooperation with:

The electric part of the humidifier plays a role to water the moss,while when it is tuned off, moss functions as natural humidifier.

This is a hybrid humidifier combined mutually between natural object and a artifact.

This product seemingly simple as the lighting is actually a new platform with infinite usability – includes Bluetooth, sensor, lighting, speaker, and mike hardware.As connecting the built –in Bluetooth with your smart-phone software,users themselves can convert the usability.

Brunel University, 2012Cooperation with Husky

Husky company had a minimum budget for their new fridge, but want to have an innovative one. From this situation, I suggested partnership with JosephJoseph with minor redevelop-ment of ordinal design. Their original design has a window on door, so I utilize that as a board that can write something to organize their nutrition. In addition, JosephJoselph company can make the box which fits with the fridge. Therefore, there will be new brand image of Husky.

Synchro is a new scuba diving regulator which can prevent a diver’s death; designed based on the analysis of individuals breathing patterns.

This project is about how to efficiently understand the breathing patterns ofa diver and so minimize potential risk of death.

Every diver fills out his or her daily diving summary in a logbook after finishing a dive. It is similar to a kind of diver’s diary. They write down quite specific information such dive start and finish times, temperature, maximum depth, and air consumption etc. You can immidiatley check out your diving log via Synchro application and share with your friends.

Synchro analyses divers breathing rhythm and calculates his/her breathing patterns. After analysing their own breathing patterns, the device starts to compare between standard and current breathing and let them know when it detects potential danger. (There is a reference film I submitted)

Synchro’s offiial website can provide more specific information about your divng. Also, you can get useful adivce from diving experts from diverse routes through online. Lastest firmware of this device is easily updated through the official website.

STEP 2. BREATHING GUIDE STEP 3. ALERTBased on average breathing rate from the first setup, Synchro shows correct breathing pattern when you breath irregularly.

Synchro shows your current breathing rhythm interpreted through circle lights on its surface, and send alert signal to your buddy diver when you still have unstable breathe after 10 seconds after the breathing guide started.

Visitors can book a place to eat or stay together with local people using an APP and website. Tourist information centers will always be the first place to visit for help regarding the STH, and there will be a high level of communication there as well. After they spend time doing a cultural activity, the photos will be uploaded to the APP and website, which automatically visual-izes these on a map expressing the preferences by participant. The STH is innovative, engaging, self-sustaining and robust. The tourists and local seniors as stakeholders will have a meaningful time through local tourism and it can be a great inspiration in their daily lives.
