KORELASI DUKUNGAN SOSIAL DAN MEKANISME KOPING DENGAN DERAJAT NYERI PADA PENDERITA OSTEOARTHRITISGaluh Ajeng ParandhiniABSTRAK

Latar Belakang: Osteoarthritis (OA) adalah penyakit reumatik kronis yang menjadi penyebab utama rasa nyeri, hilangnya fungsi dan kecacatan sehingga mengganggu aktivitas sehari-hari. Nyeri dapat diatasi dengan Dukungan sosial dan mekanisme koping. Dukungan sosial merupakan sumber koping yang mempengaruhi situasi yang dinilai stressful dan menyebabkan orang yang stres mampu mengubah situasi atau mengubah reaksi emosinya terhadap situasi yang ada.Tujuan: Mengetahui korelasi antara dukungan sosial dan mekanisme koping dengan derajat nyeri pada penderita Osteoarthritis.Metode: Penelitian menggunakan metode cross-sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2014. Jumlah responden sebanyak 42 responden dengan menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi serta eksklusi pada penderita Osteoarthritis di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Data penelitian didapatkan dari hasil pengisian Kuesioner Dukungan Sosial, Kuesioner Mekanisme Koping, dan Kuesioner Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) untuk mengukur derajat nyeri yang dirasakan pasien. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah uji Korelasi Pearson dan Teknik Regresi Linier.Hasil: Tingginya dukungan sosial berhubungan secara signifikan dengan rendahnya derajat nyeri pada penderita osteoarthritis (r = -0,324). Tingginya mekanisme koping berhubungan secara signifikan dengan rendahnya derajat nyeri pada penderita osteoarthritis (r = -0,355). Semakin tinggi dukungan sosial dan mekanisme koping akan menurunkan derajat nyeri penderita osteoarthritis (R =

-0,440).Kesimpulan: Terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan menurunnya derajat nyeri pada penderita osteoarthritis. Terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara mekanisme koping dengan menurunnya derajat nyeri pada penderita osteoarthritis. Terdapat korelasi ganda yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dan mekanisme koping dengan menurunnya derajat nyeri pada penderita osteoarthritis.

ABSTRACTBackground: Osteoarthritis ( OA ) is a chronic rheumatic disease is a major cause of pain, loss of function and disability that in daily activities. Pain can be done with social support and coping mechanism. Social support is a coping resource that affects the situation is considered stressful and that stress causes people able to change the situation or change the emotional reaction to the situation .Objective: This study aims to determine the correlation between social support and coping mechanisms with the degree of pain in osteoarthritis patients.Method: The research used Cross-Sectional Method. This research was conducted on May 2014. The number of respondents were 42 respondents with Consecutive Sampling Method and fulfills the inclusion and exclusion criteria in osteoarthritis patients at hospital of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. The research data was obtained from the results Social Support Questionnaire, Coping Mechanisms Questionnaire, and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) Questionnaire to measure the degree of pain felt by the patients. Pearson Correlation and Linear Regression technique were used as the statistical analysis.Result: The high social support was significantly associated with a lower degree of pain in osteoarthritis patients (r = -0.324). The high coping mechanism was significantly associated with a lower degree of pain in osteoarthritis patients (r = -0.355). The higher social support and coping mechanisms will reduce the degree of osteoarthritis pain (R = -0.440) .Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between social support with decreasing degree of pain in osteoarthritis patients. There is a significant correlation between coping mechanisms with decreasing degree of pain in osteoarthritis patients. There is a significant multiple correlation between social support and coping mechanisms with decreasing degree of pain in osteoarthritis patients.
