Hasil survey pendahuluan akan dipakai untukmenentukan WKP (Wilayah Kerja.)

Kegiatannya meliputi :

Survey Geologi : remote sensing, pemetaan struktur,

menguji petrofisik batuan reservoir, pemetaanvolkanostratigrafi, manifestasi, alterasi untuk mencarisumber panas

Survey Geofisika:menggunakan metode nonseismik

untuk menunjukkan geometri reservoir dan targetpemboran

Survey Geokimia: survey air, tanah, gas dan isotopuntuk memprediksi kualitas fluida reservoir

Identification of active and intensive discharge of manifestation, fumarols is most

preferred manifestation associated with acid pHhelp to indicate During area

History of volcanic eruption : Active (have eruption record after 1600 AD) but notin present day active. (ex. most prospect)

Watergas Geochemistry : sulfate (or mix with bicarbonate) water is indication of

upflow, chloride (mix with bicarbonate), is marginal water. Hidrology control is verystrong. Application of solute geothermometer need a particular care. (ex : Sibayak,

Patuha, Kamojang, Karaha, Lahendong etc)

Remote sensingto identified morfology that indicate the structure, potential

recharge area, potential thermal anomaly area etc. (ex. the result is not so

obvious)
