IN A CONSTANTLY CHANGING WORLD WE TRY HARD TO FIT OUR CLIENTS’ EXPECTATIONS. AS THE MINING AND CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES EVOLVE SVA IS ACTIVELY LEADING CHANGE WITH NEW IDEAS ON HOW TO WORK SAFER AND MORE EFFECTIVELY.
“”
SVA water truck modules are built to perform in the harshest mining conditions and designed to provide maximum operabilty and safety. The success of SVA water trucks can be attributed to a clear focus on innovation in engineering design and production processes. As a result, SVA water trucks have become known for their quality workmanship,
operator intended safety features and reliability. Our modules incorporate many unique features and standard inclusions coupled with dedicated aftersales support and industry leading warranty coverage. We believe these attributes make SVA water truck modules the most advanced on the market today.

Komatsu HD785 – Water Truck Module4 Komatsu HD785 – Water Truck Module 5
Durability & InnovationThe SVA water truck includes many unique features such as the tank top access walkway extension (Patent 2009902405) which allows the operator safe access to the top of the tank, whilst improving visibility from the driver’s cab across the right side of the truck.
The tank structure includes longitudinal and latitudinal baffles to create individual compartments with strategically placed, connecting access holes. This limits the surging of water during truck maneuvering to control stability and wear to the module and carrier chassis.
Individual access hatches with bolted covers are located over the central compartments within the top walkway handrail perimeter and through the fill funnel. The compartments are fitted with internal galvanized rung ladders for safe entry and exit in to the tank.
! The SVA pump frame supporting the water pump and all spray bar pipe work is a bolt-on, removable frame mounted to the rear section of the tank subframe with built in fork lift pockets for ease of handling.
! The frame has locating hooks to allow installation and final bolting without needing to work under a suspended load.
! The water pump & hydraulic motor arrangement is mounted on a removable skid bolted to the pump frame assembly to be easily and safely removed for component change-out at ground level.
Water Pump Suction StrainerThe suction sump of the SVA water tank is fitted with a removable strainer screen accessible at the front of the module. The dump valve is used to flush the suction sump of debris from the side of the module.
Komatsu Chassis CompatibilityThe SVA water truck module is designed to adapt to the Komatsu HD785 chassis in place of the factory dump tray. The module incorporates a robust under body structure that plays a crucial role in ensuring the tank shell is properly supported with full length support beams, original equipment body pads, and
shims along with mountings to utilise the existing hoist system and body raised safety locks. The SVA control system includes an electrically operated hoist lock-out to prevent the tank being raised with water inside. These features allow safe service access to the truck chassis and drive train.
Split Pivot ClampsThe unique SVA designed split clamp arrangement allows installation and removal of the module without the risk of working under a suspended load.

SVA’s “Intelligent Spray System” (ISS) utilises SVA designed spray heads which control water output relative to vehicle road speed. Traditional spray patterns have no control over the water film thickness, the spray width is dependent on the truck engine RPM and that results in an inconsistent spray width. Utilising SVA’s Intelligent Spray System results in applying a constant film of water on the road surface regardless of the truck speed. As such the spray width stays constant therefore preventing over-watering.
The SVA module is compatible to install a 3rd party spray system
SVA’s Standard Spray System consists of 3 x hydraulic double acting adjustable fan sprays spaced evenly across the rear spray bar and 1 x hydraulic double acting spray head mounted vertically at the centre of the rear spray bar for tyre fire deluge purposes. The spray system is operated by an electric over hydraulic control valve supplied by the truck’s existing hoist cylinder pump.

Intelligent Spray System Option
As standard, 1 x Akron 65mm remote controlled electric over hydraulic cannon is supplied. The cannon is mounted on the front wall facing out to the right-hand side of the tank. Placement of the cannon in this area increases visibility for the operator from the truck cab, with a dispensing distance of up to 50m. Optional cannon placement & additional cannons can be provided on request.
SVA’s HD785 Water Truck Modules feature an independent control panel mounted on the cab console with spray switches and the remote controlled cannon joystick.
6 x LED lights are installed to the control panel to indicate the water tank level. A low water cut out switch is incorporated to shut down the pump drive when activated.
Water Cannon
The water pump is engaged & disengaged via a foot switch to turn the sprays on or off. This hands-free operation allows the operator to remain focused on operation of the vehicle and eliminates the risk of distraction whilst driving.
