Noun (kata benda) ialah kata yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan nama benda (buku), orang (Lukas), tempat (Rantepao), serta gagasan (kepercayaan).

Berdasarkan jumlahnya, noun dibedahkan menjadi dua jenis, yaitu:1. Countable noun (benda yang dapat dihitung),

dan2. Uncountable noun (benda yang tidak dapat

dihitung).
