PREFACE
It gives me an immense pleasure to present self Study Report Of Government
First Grade College , Yelburga to NAAC for assessment and accreditation. The college has
been involved in the preparation of this SSR since from past one year After independence
Yelburga has not improved to various reasons though Koppal is declared as district..
In order to empower the rural students in Hyderabad Karnataka region, the
college was started in Yelburga by the Government of Karnataka in 1986. In the beginning it
was started in the Govt.P.U.college with a least strength of 155 students with only BA &
BCOM section . Later on the effort was made by the local leaders with the help and support
of Department Of Collegiate Education, college started functioning in its own newly
constructed building in the year 2000 . Now the college has a strength of 642 and it is being
affiliated to Vijayanagar Sri Krishnadevaraya university, Bellary. It comes under jurisdiction
of Gulburga Regional Joint Director Office Gulburga..
I would like to complement the NAAC / IQAC of the college for preparing the
self study report (SSR) sophisticatedly. The member of the committee have spent valuable
time and exhibited resourcefulness in collecting vast information and preparing the report.
All the faculty member of the college involved themselves deeply in this work. Care is taken
to provide relevant information and statistical data relating to the institution to the NAAC
Bangalore.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE
The Government First Grade College Yelburga-583236 has been playing vital role in
development and spread of higher education (Graduate level) in this rural area. The College
has been trying to make its students more active and productive not only for self but also for
society. It had its humble beginning in 1986-87 academic years with just minimum students
in a small building of Govt P U College yelburga. Since then, the College has come a long
way with its own set of problems and accomplished phenomenal growth. Our College is one
among the big College in Koppal district with total strength of 642 in 2015-16 Academic
years that is next to Government First Grade College koppal.
At present College provides Good Education opportunities to the under privileged student
surrounded yelburga. The College has shifted to its new building in the year 2000-2001
which comprises principals chamber administrative section. BA,B.com course introduced in
1986-87 and B.Sc courses were introduced in the year 2005-06 and BBM started in the
Academic year 2007-08.

SWOC ANALYSIS
The institutional quality performance is subject of SWOC analysis, so as to formulate plans
for the future developments. Accordingly an attempt is made here to put the institution under
SWOC analysis.
Strength :
Maximum students get scholarship.
The college has its own building and good atmosphere for students.
Healthy and pollution-free college campus.
Increase in student strength from year to year.
Every year college got university blue in sports.
College is the winner in kabaddi at university level since from 4 years.
College got university rank in BA section.
College has its own building outside city with good atmosphere to students to enhance
knowledge.
College has Tele-education , EDU-SAT system with smart class which helps the
students to acquire additional knowledge.
College has NSS , scouts & guides, Red-cross and heritage club which helps the
students to serve rural people.
College has placement cells which helps the students in getting jobs at private
organisation.
Two of our NSS students participated at national camp at Bangalore.
Weakness :
Shortage of teaching and non-teaching permanent staff.
Lack of communication skill in English language among the students.
Lack of assistance and supportive staff.
The automation of library and office is required.
The college does not has permanent librarian and physical director.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Curriculum is the core object of any educational institution. The vision of the College
is to provide quality higher education affordable and accessible to all sections of students.
The College is affiliated to the Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University,Ballari and
follows the curriculum designed by the University. The College offers both undergraduate
and Post Graduate degrees.
Over the past reaccreditation period the College has introduced various courses. The
B.A course has wide flexibility with 4 combinations. The B.Sc has one combinations. In
addition compulsory papers like Indian constitution, Human Rights and Environmental
Studies, Personality Development Communication Skills and Computer Applications gives
more academic options to the students.
Apart from the affiliated University curriculum, the College is also striving hard to
enrich the curricular aspects. Our honourable Government has taken initiation to enhance and
enrich the present curriculum through new schemes called HOSAHEJJE, EDUSAT, Tele-
education Virtual classes and spoken tutorials. These programs are designed to facilitate the
different skills among the students.
The moral and ethical values are inculcated among students through various practices.
The NSS and other organizations of College in still a sense of community empathy among
the students.
TEACHING, LEARNING AND EVALUATION
The premier Government institute of North Karnataka, our college ensures the
transparency in admission process and provides quality teaching learning experience. The
college complies with the Government and University reservation policy of admission to
under graduation. The College has potential to attract the quality students with wide diversity.
The student strength has been gradually increasing over the years.
In a systematic way College prepares the academic and non academic schedules.
Various committees are constituted at the beginning of the year which executes the plans.
IQAC is the guiding force for all the activities of the institution. Every year it prepares
academic plan for the institutional developments. It ensures the improvement of the teaching
learning process by organizing special lectures. The College has made learning more student
centric by conducting seminars, group discussion and project works. The innovative teaching

methods such as ICT enabled teaching, online talks by experts through EDU-SAT, Tele-
Education, The institution nurture critical thinking, creativity and scientific temper among
the students through various programmes.
The faculty members and students are given ample opportunity to improve knowledge
and skills. The faculty members are deputed to refresher courses, orientation programs, and
other academic and non academic trainings. Many invited talks from reputed scholars are
conducted for faculty members and students. Innovative teaching approaches ensure students
participation, interaction and involvement in learning.
The college monitors and evaluates teaching learning process through student
feedback, screening the academic diary and result analysis. The slow and advanced learners
are indentified through periodical tests and semester examinations. The advanced learners are
encouraged and guided for higher ambitions. Slow learners are counselled and the remedial
measures are taken. The academic results are of satisfactory.
The College believes in the curriculum development, teaching learning and evaluation
process, reforms and student feedback are instrumental to bring out the necessary changes
and further improvement.
RESEARCH, CONSULTANCY AND EXTENSION
Our college is keen in encouraging Research, Consultancy and Extension programmes for
the overall development of faculty members and Institution. The research Committee has
been constituted under the chairmanship of the Principal.
As a part of consultancy work faculty members are involved in trainings to the High
School Science teachers, worked as Master Trainer in general election, working for
government research projects. NSS, Red Ribbon, Heritage and Red Cross Cell are always
engaged in various social consulting programmes and extension activities.
INFRASTRUCTURE AND LEARNING RESOURCES
Infrastructure facilities are the key for effective and efficient conduct of the
educational programmes. Government First Grade College yelburga with its sprawling
campus spread on 2.29 acres of land is providing quality higher education to all sections of
the society. In the post reaccreditation period college has augmented sufficient infrastructure.
The Institution has sufficient well equipped and spacious class rooms to facilitate academic
activities, 03 science laboratories, ICT enabled Smart Rooms, and seminar halls. Specialized
laboratories like Physics, Chemistry, are extensively used for effective practical teaching,

learning and research. Keeping in view the role and impact of technological advancements on
higher education, the college has upgraded technology to give a new direction to teaching-
learning experience at this College. Institution has well furnished three computer laboratories
with 18 computers. The college has seminar hall with a seating capacity of 150 persons for
cultural activities. The institution through IQAC timely assess and upgrade its infrastructural
facilities like adequate number of classrooms, library resources, reading-rooms, information
spaces, playgrounds.
The College has strong interest in sports and has a good track record of participation
in sport events at various levels. The College has play grounds, adequate facilities for indoor
and outdoor games.
The College library contains 18,000 books with good number of references. The
college has constituted Library advisory committee. Library provides special facilities for
physically challenged persons. The library has well organized space for internet browsing,
photo copying and reference for students and faculty members. The library has also
subscribed many journals as per needs of the faculty members and students. The Principal
and president of College Development council (CDC) headed by Local Member of
Legislative Assembly (MLA), takes appropriate measures from time to time to ensure the
physical and learning resources in respect of upgrading and expanding them as per the need
and growth of the student capacity.
STUDENT SUPPORT AND PROGRESSION
The college publishes updated prospectus covering all the information of the College.
The various scholarships and free-ship facilities are provided by the Government and other
agencies. About 70 % of the students are benefitted. The College provides all the supports to
SC,ST,OBC, Physically disabled students and economically weaker section as per
Government norms. Remedial classes are conducted for SC, ST and OBC students. A first
priority is given to physically disable students. Number of skill development programmes are
conducted by the College. The placement cell guides and offer suggestions to students
regarding job opportunities and new avenues in higher education. The placement cell
conducts 60 hours of training in English communication, aptitude and interview skills for
final year students. The College has organized job-mela and also assist the students to attend
various job-mela organized by surrounding colleges. Number of welfare schemes is made
available to students.

Over the last four years there is an increase in student progression to higher education
and employment. Nearly 15 percent of our students opt higher education. Apart from this a
large number of our students opt B.Ed and B.PEd courses after their graduation. Through
campus selection many of our students are selected to various reputed companies like
Infosys, Wipro and Greet technologies. There is a positive trend in the number of graduates
from the colleges. The UG academic results are of satisfactory and we have achieved
excellent academic results in PG.
The college has strong interest in sports, cultural and extracurricular activities. During
the post reaccreditation period college has organized to zonal sports meets. A large number of
students have participated and succeeded at state, university, and zonal level sports and
cultural activities.
GOVERNANCE, LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
Our College governance offers an over-arching concept to establish a framework
within which academic excellence, such as autonomy to work for betterment and
accountability, can be achieved. The parent department; Department of Collegiate Education,
Government of Karnataka, which has clear stated vision “quality higher education affordable
and accessible to all sections of students”. In line with this College has clearly stated vision
and mission to achieve excellence. College believes in proper and transparent governance,
able leadership and proper management to achieve overall development of Institution. Being
a Government Institution,
It is administered by the Department of Collegiate Education (DCE), Government of
Karnataka. The issues like budget allocation, appointments, confirmation, promotion, transfer
are controlled by The DCE. The Principal is the guiding force and ensures developing the
organizational structure, formulating and implementing the strategy of development and
academic activities. He has created an effective internal coordination and monitoring
mechanism. To decentralize the administration and to prepare the next generation leaders
various committees and associations are formulated to carry out co-curricular and extra-
curricular activities under the leadership of principal. The coordinators of each committee are
given autonomy and are monitored by the Principal. The heads of department executes the
academic and administrative activities of concerned department. The Committees like Sports
and other executes the additional administrative and extra curricular activities. The Office
staff ensures the smooth financial and non-academic students related matters.

The IQAC acts as a catalyst to plan and execute academic activities and to raise
institutional standards. IQAC through its periodic assessment gives suggestion to improve
academic standards. To nourish the leadership quality among students, students are included
under various committees.
INNOVATIONS AND BEST PRACTICES
A greater emphasis is given to innovations and best practices by the College during
the last four years. College has introduced innovation in curricular as well as extracurricular
activities. With the belief that innovation always helps the growth of the institution and the
society around it, a number of best and innovative practices are adopted by the College.
The college has taken initiatives to transform a rocky campus into green eco-friendly
by planting trees. Over the last two years saplings have been planted and protected. The
carbon neutrality is ensured by observing every Saturday as no Vehicle day. Awareness is
created to save energy by adding a quote on test question papers and by posters.
Every year our institution celebrates Ethnic Day. The main objective of the
celebration is to develop nativity. It makes us understand how one must recognize and respect
other ethnic nuances. The NSS are actively involved in instilling social responsibilities in
students through many best practices.
The Department of English has introduced a monthly Wall Magazine entitled ‘THE
BLAZE’ to enhance knowledge, reading and writing skills of the students. The training and
placement cell is actively involved in placement related activities namely, conducted job fair
by inviting reputed companies including Infosys. Many student oriented academic
innovations and best practices like remedial classes are in practice.

For the effective functioning of any institution an action plan is very essential. At the same
time curriculum is very important part of educational activity. Immediately after the
reopening of the college principal conveys meeting of all the committee and head of the
departments to prepare a plan of action. All the committees work in co-ordination with each
other for the implementation of curriculum. Our college is affiliated to VSK university
Bellary. Therefore the university itself prepares the curriculum. The college will only

implement the curriculum according to the calendar of events of the university through all
departments and committees. The college prepares , its calendar of events. in accordance with
the university calendar of events ,
To implement the curriculum effectively the time table committee is formed consisting of all
the head of the departments to prepare time table for regular classes and internal assessment
tests. The details of conducting tests and preparation of question paper, test schedule last date
for submitting consolidated IA marks list etc are discussed and finalised in the meeting. The
circular containing all this information is sent to the staff concerned. The test schedule is put
up on the notice board at the entrance. The tests are held strictly according to the test
schedules approved in the meeting. Final aggregate marks of 2 semester are uploaded it to the
website of VSK university ,Bellary.
For the academic enrichment of the students and faculty members resource persons are
invited for special lecture series, seminars and workshops are conducted.
In addition to this Department Of Collegiate Education organises various programmes such
as SAHAYOGA, VIKASAM, ANGALA, SOFT SKILLS & SUDY SKILLS programmes
from expert trainer ,this will be build skill among the students.

Since the Teachers are the main agencies to translate curriculum into practice, the institution
is doing its best to provide needful support.
The teachers are encouraged to participate in state , national and international

academic staff colleges, if various universities.

implement it in the best possible manner. The college is making continuous efforts to
improve teaching , learning methodology.
Field work and educational visits are held beyond the class rooms to enhance the
external knowledge for the students.
In the context of curriculum every departments are conducting quiz competitions,
debates and group discussion.
Special lecturers are organised by inviting experts from various fields to share
their expertise.
Our staff and students are conducting industrial tour to acquire practical
knowledge about industries.
We are conducting tour to visit historical places.

Industry :
The industrial visit is conducted occasionally for the benefit of commerce and science
students to know operational activities and technical knowledge including HR activities and
technical operations are carried on production with interaction with concerned head of the
department or the managing director. The student attended campus interview in job fest as
per the guidance of senior faculty staff. Recently placement cell is started in our college to
cater the needs of the students job requirements based on their course and for their
performance in the various round of interview. Special classes are conducted through experts
to prepare students for interview and competitive examinations and carrier development
skills.

university, Bellary regular relating to framing the syllabus , exam work , vigilance squad,

Since our college is not autonomous college., it is an affiliated college. So we do not have
option to introduce either course or curriculum of our own. Our teaching staff though are not
BOS member but suggest their opinion regarding syllabus to LIC ( local investigation
committee) during visit to our college.

In order to facilitate the integration of academic programmes with the institutional
goals and objectives, all the departments in the college organise field –trips ,
industrial visits ,lectures and workshops , scientific debates and elocutions are
conducted in each departments. To stimulate the students scientific temperament ,
science exhibitions are organised to create research interest.
To supplement the university curriculum department of collegiate education offers
various skill quotient programmes in the college , such as spoken English , soft skills
and job skills. To impart the spirits if service among the student , the NSS wing has
taken up several activities including special camp in rural area which are in turn with
the institutional goal.

Application for admission to under graduate course are called for in the month of May
immediately after the PUC II year result are announced. Admission committee scrutinizes the
application and selection lists are announced adhering to the merit norms and state govt rules.
From the academic year 2014-15 the merit list is announced on the DCE website online
application are given a unique ID number.
There is no cut off percentage according to the university for admission for BA, BCOM,
BSC, BBM as follows,
BA : the students of any discipline are eligible.
BCOM : students of any discipline
BBM : students of any discipline
BSC : for admission to science only, PUC science students are eligible.

During 2014-15 there is no admission to the BBM course because students are not interested
to get admitted in BBM course.

ensure adherence to government policies in this regard?
The college provides the required assistance to the differently abled students in a positive
way. A ramp is laid to get to the class rooms at first floor. During examination they are
allowed to take exams in separate rooms. according to the govt policies care has taken to get
scholarships from social welfare departments & other agencies. To avoid frequent visit to the
library , set of text books are provided at the beginning of the sessions.

The college does not have the practice of assessing students need in term of knowledge and
skill before commencement of the programmes, however the teachers interact with the new
comers in the first & second class for a particular course informally.

The college sensitized its staff and students on the gender issue by arranging special talks
through anti-ragging committee (ARC) sexual harassment committee (SHCC) women’s
guidance and counselling cell (WGCC)
On the national and international students and staff are given oath taking we have awareness
about gender equality and national patriotism and culture.
Rain water harvesting and anti plastic awareness, health awareness, tree plantation
programmes are practiced by the college. uniform is made compulsory for all students.
With regard to inclusion the college provide a common platform to all the students
irrespective of category class and creed to participate in CCA and ECA activities.
The college through student union like NSS,RED CROSS,RED RIBBEN CLUB,SCOUTS
AND GUIDES,AND STUDENT COUNCIL creates environmental consciousness by

Majority of dropout is due to jobs, low academic results and marriage of girl students. we
hope the following measures taken by the college reduce the risk of dropout.
Girl students are encourage to continue their studies after marriage.
To reduce the risk of dropout, the failed students are counseled by their mentors
personality and their problems are discussed.
Teachers maintained regular attendance and the special attention will be given to the
students who have come from weaker section of society. such students are regularly

Since our college is government college, it does not having authority in the recruitment and
return of permanent staff. these teacher were appointed by the KPSC permanent teachers are
eligible for transfer after 5 years of their service in the college.
Based on the existing workload guest lecturer are appointed through online process ,as per
order and direction of department of colligate education. priority is given to experienced and
highly qualified applicants.

The college collects feedback of the teachers from the students in the prescribed form
designed by department of collegiate education. The performance of the teachers &
availability of various types of facilities in the college are scaled by the students. Students are
encouraged to give their suggestion by using suggestion box. The principal suggest all the
staff members to improve their quality of teaching as per feedback given by the students.
There is no any other system in the college where the teachers are evaluated by external
peers.

From 2013-14 and 2014-15 the result of all course has increased tremendously because of
care taken by the principal and staff by engaging extra classes.

The IQAC examination committee and student welfare cell monitor the learning outcomes of
the students. The learning outcomes are ensured through regular class test, internal
assignment, seminars, group discussions, semester examination and practices. The students
results are analysed by the committee, the highest scores the class is nominated as leader of
class to encourage the students. Holistic development of the students is ensured by
encouraging them to participate in sports, cultural and NSS activities, additionally expert
lectures are arranged by each department to achieve the learning outcomes.

Yes, the evaluation of the students performance is done in different ways like , the students
performance in the test and assignment.
Student learning ability in the class through their interaction and involvement are keenly
observed by the teachers. After analysing all these the teachers take remedial measures,
students participation in NSS/NCC/sports and other programmes like various awareness
rallies (cleanliness drives, anti-plastic , go-green etc) indicates their qualitative approach
towards life and society. The co-curricular and extracurricular activities help evaluator to
identify the learning capacity and interest of the students.

The college arranges seminars, workshops and special lecture for students and faculty
members to cultivate research culture, small research projects are given to the students based
on the academic events on the subject taught which are able to analyzed and duly presented in

The college does not have a recognized research center.

The college under IQAC cell make an arrangement to invite experts on various subjects on
occasion of workshops, seminars, paper presentation to create awareness among the staff and
the students.

How has the provision contributed to improve the quality of research and imbible
research culture on the campus?
No faculty member have availed the sabbatical leave for research activity so far. They are
pursuing their phd by distance education made. The college provides special leave to staff
members to participate and present paper in national, state level and international
conferences.

The teachers however make an effort to create an awareness of their research findings among

Presently the college is yet to be included UGC 12(b) act, so it is not getting any UGC funds.
There is no provision for budget allocation for research as the government does not have any
such allotment. But our faculty members themselves meets minimum expenditure for
research projects.

“No” Department of collegiate education in Karnataka does not provide seed money for
research purposes.

Financial aid is not given to the students, yet there are certain other facilities made available
to the students for research projects.

The college is equipped with Tele-education, edusat, internet connection and projectors for
four classes. The institution allows the teachers to make use of computer lab and library, this
facility is provided to students under strict supervision by faculty.

Up gradation of library , organising more seminars and workshops, inviting more research

At present the institution has not received any fund, grants, financial support or beneficiary
for developing research facilities, but definite efforts are being made to develop research

Given details of the systems and strategies for establishing institute industry interfaces,
through there is no such formal agreements between the institute, industries to provide
consultation services, but the placement cell of the college initiates the interface talks with
the industry as well as training institutes at the time of Job Mela and other occasions.

The staff members are given free hand to promote consultancy in their free time and the staff
is advised not to change for their services so as to serve the society.

deliver talks. The college has appreciates the members formally those involved in

3.6. Extension Activities And Institutional Social Responsibility (I.S.R)
3.6.1. How does the institution promote institution - neighbourhood – community
network and student engagement contributes to good citizenship, service orientation
and holistic development of students?
The college ensures students participation in community building programmes like gender
equality, free plantation like anti superstition etc services of this kind build social capital and
create socially committed and responsible citizenship.
The college has N.S.S. unit and Red-cross wing, Scout and guide wing. These units are
involved in various community works around the year contributing social activities, IQAC
cell also promotes the community based programmes.

movements/ activities which promotes citizenship roles?
The college motivates the students about involvement in various social movement. In
beginning of the academic year, the principal call a general meeting of teachers to form
various committees to carryout extension activities. The N.S.S officers enrols the students
and trains them. The N.S.S. officers and physical education in charge also supervise students
activities inside and outside the campus and motivate them for social activities.

3.6.5. How does the institution promote the participation of students and faculty in
extension activities including participation in N.S.S, N.C.C and other national and
international agencies?
Our college is keen to promote extension activities and inculcate the social skill among the
students. The orientation programme is conducted for the students to register of N.S.S. The
enrolled students have to undergo two years training to get certificate.

The college has been working since its establishment on social service, research and
extension work; it has ensured social justice and empowers students from underprivileged

N.S.S. units, sociology departments conducted survey in rural areas. During N.S.S
volunteers of our college contribute in many ways to promote social responsibility.

workshops are conducted by inviting resource person from local Koppal district colleges.

For effective teaching and learning infrastructure is the main cornerstone of the college. The
systematic teaching and learning depends upon the availability of proper infrastructure. This
insists upon the teachers to enhance the education to the students and provide justification to
the community. As our college is a purely govt. College, if the college felt any facilities, it
should be communicated to the Department of collegiate Education. At present the college
has 5acres of land and own building in good atmosphere. Construction of boys hostel is under
progress with estimated cost Rs.1Crore. And 1Crore rupees proposed building for additional
class room is also under process.
This year Department of collegiate education selected our college for Tele-education scheme,
under this scheme 3 class rooms are provided with projector, computer and sound system.
In coming years, college planned to install C.C. Camera for all class rooms to make clean
observation and monitor classes.

The students participate in sports activities conducted under University level, Inter college
tournament and inter-University level.
SPORTS :
Though there is no physical director in the college, but the college has good sports
department with volley ball court, kabaddi court, badminton court. Our college kabaddi team
has win inter-collegial kabaddi continuously for four years. And every year two or three
students are selected as University Blue.
In the year 2013-14 our college won Inter-college Volley ball sports.

a) Being a government college, the college in itself cannot provide any fund for
construction and maintenance of buildings. The college however keep constant
interaction with the higher education department, govt. Of Karnataka. And the
P.W.D. ensures construction and maintenance of building infrastructure and
electrical connections. All the extension repairs, renovation works are taken up by
the Public Work Department (P.W.D) and others. Head of the institution and
C.D.C. look after minor repair and other construction works of urgent needs.

The boys hostel is under construction, in our college premises with State Govt. Grants.
However at present hostels are not run by the college independently. They are run by the
government through social welfare department and department of backward community. The
students are given accommodation in B.C.M. hostel and SC/ST hostels. The college has
collected details of these hostels and ensures that the students are safe and security while
staying in the hostel.

main gate of the college and main places in the city.

organized by various colleges. information of jobs and job forms are displayed on the notice
board. the passed out student of the college are already appointed various sectors.

Sexual harassment prevention committee has been constituted as per the directions of DCE
and Govt Of Karnataka. the committee is headed by a senior women faculty. so far no
incidence pertaining to sexual harassment is registered.

Yes, the college has anti ragging committee. the committee is gives the oath to students on

Our college is government college , DCE(department of collegiate education) govt of
Karnataka is the supreme authority under which the college is functioning. The DCE
manages all the financial , administration and planning of all government colleges in
Karnataka, keeping in mind of global trends DCE has initiated many academic programmes
for the benefit of all section of the society.
Principal is the head of the institution and he beans ultimate responsibility for the smooth
running of the college. The role of principal of the college is multidimensional as the head of
the institution, the principal is responsible for both academic and administrative functioning

of the college. In addition to this many committees are formed with teachers and students,

The role of the principal of the college is multidimensional. As the head of the institution ,
the principal is responsible for both the academic and administrative functioning of the

To meet the challenges of the changing world, it is necessary to understand the Indian
culture and heritage. The students of BA course study the history of Indian culture
and heritage is detailed. The students of other courses are taught about pro-teaching

the NSS and dept of social work.

The principal of the college is the administrative and academic head. For the smooth conduct
of the academic programme various committees are constituted under the leadership of the

concerned committees are held to discuss and monitor the plans and policies of the institution
for proper implementation. The IQAC monitor the overall development and give suggestion
if required.

Although the principal is the head of the institute but, it is strongly believed that delegation
of authority is more effective in governance, to decccatralised governance system. Various

institution are given operation autonomy. Every staff member clearly understand his/her role
and responsibilities in the college and works towards the overall development of the college
and he/she is given freedom to take decision within the purview.

Yes, the college promotes the participative management, various committees are formed to

Our Institute Is Government, Department Of Collegiate Education is the policy making
authority. The principal delivers the policy made by the parent department. The college
development council headed by the local member of legislative assembly (MLA) is a

decision on academic aspects as per university norms.

society. Through these units college has organised many camps in nearly villages, during
NSS annual special camp a many community related activities such as AIDS awareness,
medical check up camps, impact on using fertilizers & pesticides are organised.

Being a government institution, the permanent staff is appointed by the government. The
guest faculties are recruited through central online process by department of collegiate
education. The appraisal of performance of teachers is carried out once in a year. Bio-metric
students for all staff is introduced from 2013-14. Teaching staff are motivated to participated
in workshops, seminars and other staff development programmes. Online details of the

The college is keen to attract and retain the faculty, as per the present transfer rule , the
faculty has to serve minimum of 5 years in each college. The conductive environment of the
college also helps to retain the faculty. The MLA who is also president of the college CDC
puts his efforts to bring the required staff.

Ours is government institution which gets grants from the government, also few funds
are collected from students like CDC, CDF & RR etc.

There is no formal green of the campus and facilities, but our college takes all possible
steps to make the campus green and eco-friendly.
It is yet to be conduct, right now college plans to conduct an official green audit through
external agency. At present college is trying to maintain the greeneries of the campus and to
preserve the old trees of considerable value that generates fresh air , students are always
motivated about planting, maintaining of trees in the college.
