(Dr.Mohammad Reyaz)
I feel pleasure to submit the Annual Report of our College for the year 2020 –
2021. As we are aware that on account of Covid-19 epidemic, all activities of the
educational institutions are badly affected. Still, faculty members of all
departments are engaging classes Online. The University Examinations are also
badly affected and sessions are delayed. However, the University has started
conducting examinations now. Admissions in UG and PG Courses are also
badly affected which is not good for our financial health.
The University did not organise any Sports and Cultural Activities during the
year, hence most of the activity part of our college is shown NIL.
New feather added in our cap is P.G. in Chemistry. From the Session 2020-
2022 we got affiliation in P.G. Chemistry, but owing to late approval we could
not admit students in the department. Now, from this year we have started
admission process.
However, we are hopeful things will be restored soon and we will do our best in
the years to come.

(i) Department of Computer Applications
From the desk of Coordinator, Departments of C.A and IT
(21st January 2021)
I take immense pleasure in presenting the annual report of the Department of Computer
Applications and Department of Information Technology for activities undertaken between
February 2020 and January 2021.
The year 2020 brought with itself Pandemic caused by Corona virus and immense difficulties
impacting almost each and every aspect of our day to day life. We began to engage Online classes
from 15th
April 2020 and tried to nullify the gross depression and uneasiness amongst our
students. This whole exercise was very challenging for both the faculty and students as we were
dealing with unprecedented situation. Thankfully enough everybody learned the intricacies of
technological challenges and thereafter things moved ahead peacefully. I found both the faculty
and students satisfied with the whole new exercise of learning.
Last year on account of COVID 19, there was lot of delay in the conduct of examination and
declaration of results by Kolhan University as they too had to follow the prescribed guidelines of
government of Jharkhand and UGC from time to time. However our students have marched ahead
with determination again shown very good results in their university examination. From
Computer Applications (BCA) Namra Iqbal secured 90.83% marks and Rishika Arya
secured 89.03% marks in their University examination results.
From Information Technology (B.Sc IT-Hons) Nikita Kamti obtained 84.79% marks and
Aashna Qawi obtained 83.67 % marks. I take immense pride in informing you that Nikita
Kamti is the KOLHAN UNIVERSITY TOPPER and is currently employed with Wipro
Technologies. Our students Rahul RAJ (BCA), Dhanjay Sahu (BCA), Sidhant Poddar
(BCA), Sumnay (B.Sc.IT) are currently employed TCS as Assistant System Engineer.
This year students of Computer Applications and Information Technology were placed in Wipro
Technologies (10 Students) and Tata Consultancy Services (4 Students).
Our faculty is working dedicatedly and passionately to ensure the quality of teaching and learning
to motivate students for a better life and career.

5. Award Success Stories & Special Events :
i) EMPLOYABILITY ENHANCEMENT UNIT (EEU)
I present the annual report of Employability Enhancement Unit (EEU) which is an umbrella
organization for Placement Cell and Career Counselling and Guidance Cell. The regular
activities of Career Counselling and Guidance could not be undertaken because of the lockdown
and absence of students from the college campus. Due to the restrictions imposed by the central
and state governments from time to time there was very limited scope for any activity. However,
our Senior Coordinator Dr. Zaki Akhter was readily available for Online Counselling of
students. We realized that the prevailing conditions were quite stressful and difficult for us and
our students, but we are very hopeful that soon things will change for better and we will be able to
take up our normal activities and serve our students well.
Our Placement Cell has some good news. Our Placement Coordinator Dr. G. Vijayalakshmi, is
very active and has consistently tried to organize the events. Some of the companies who avoided
visiting campus went ahead with Online mode. The Private sectors has been experiencing
tremendous loss of business and are not willing to recruit students from tier II cities like
Jamshedpur. Another issue was late examination conducted by Kolhan University, this resulted in
loss of opportunity as other states had managed to conduct examination, though little late. Our
Students from Department of Computer Applications and Information Technology have
made it to TCS and WIPRO TECHNOLOGIES.
One of our student Ms. S. Pachima Gounder (2020 pass out) from faculty of Commerce
qualified in the online process Organized by Runaya Refinery (A unit of Vedanta Group of
companies) and joined her work on 25th
December 2020 at its Jharsuguda (Odisha) office. Her
starting package (INR 3.44 Lac per annum) is also quite good. It will go up as she will complete
her training and probation.
We are expecting rise in the economic activity post complete lifting of lockdown and normalcy.
In The year 2021 there is bound to be more avenues for our students and we are preparing
ourselves to adapt the conditions of the new normal. Looking forward for a better future for our
students and enhanced activities this year……

EXPRESSION is important, a psychological, a social and most importantly a human need. There are N
numbers of ways to express, verbal, Non- verbal, interpersonal, intrapersonal. Different tools for expressions -
gestures, movements, languages, more languages and within that more languages.
At times you are too complicated for the world to be loved or even to listened to or even to look upon at times
the world cannot tolerate the slightest of your sight. Whom do you turn up to? Upon whom do you bank your
hopes?
On a piece of PAPER? On a Pen which flows ink? On instruments which if played makes heavenly sounds?
On certain body movements through which you outpour your psychedelic?
Yes probably?
Similarly with one stroke of brush dipped in fresh colour, if moved against the corrosive surface of the
canvas can portray the complex of the human emotions.
As Van Gough Said –
―I dream my painting and I paint my dream.‖
― Vincent Willem van Gogh
