After-market Defi nition

An after-market part or product is a new part or product that is manufactured by someone other than the original equipment manufacturer that either meets or exceeds the same stringent guidelines and or specifi cations of the OEM.

The benefi t of using an after-market product is that you are able to get the same quality product at a substantially lower cost than if you had purchased an OEM product. Pull TestersA pull tester is an absolute must when repairing/rebuilding turbines. Our pull testers are simple, but very effective. A precision pin is mounted to a spring loaded shaft that exerts a pull of 8 lbs which more than exceeds the industry standard of 6 lbs. We offer 2 types of pull tester; a standard pull tester, and a dynamic pull tester. The standard pull tester is to be used on a turbine that is not in motion. The dynamic pull tester can be used like the standard, however the test pin is attached to a turbine that allows you to perform the pull test on a handpiece while it’s running. This is the most accurate way to test the holding power of a spindle.

BETWEEN PATIENT HANDPECE MAINTENANCE

BY EDUCATING YOUR DOCTORS ON THESE SIMPLE STEPS, THEY CAN HELP GREATLY IMPROVE THE LIFE OF A HIGHSPPED TURBINE, REDUCING THE FAILURE RATE AND ULTIMATELY, INCREASING CUSTOMER SATISFACTION WHILE REDUCING YOUR EXPENSES!

PLACE 2-3 DROPS OF OIL INTO THE INTAKE TUBE LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HANDPIECE. THEN OPERATE THE HANDPIECE, WITH A BUR INSTALLED, FOR 10 SECONDS TO EXPELL THE OIL OUT OF THE HANDPIECE. DOING THIS WILL FLUSH THE DEBRIS AND CONTAMINATES FROM THE HANDPIECE. WARNING: OPERATING THE HANDPIECE WITHOUT A BUR INSTALLED WILL RESULT IN PREMATURE CHUCK FAILURE.

WIPE DOWN THE EXTERIOR OF THE HANDPIECE WITH ALCOHOL OR DISTILLED WATER. REMOVE GROSS CONTAMINATES WITH A FINE WIRE BRUSH. DO NOT USE TAP WATER OR PHOSPHATE BASED SOAPS.

CLEAN EXTERIOR OF HANDPIECE

INDIVIDUALLY BAG EACH HANDPIECE FOR STERILIZATION. DO NOT EXCEED 135C/275F. IF USING A CHEMICAL STERIL-IZER, USE CLEAN CHEMICALS. AFTER THE CYCLE, ALLOW THE HANDPIECE TO RETURN TO ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE USE. DO NOT OPERATE A HANDPIECE THAT IS HOT TO THE TOUCH. WARNING: NEVER LEAVE A HANDPIECE IN THE STERILIZER OVERNIGHT.
