Transcript of WELCOME - to the 2019Biggar Little Festival

WELCOME to the 2019 Biggar Little FestivalHere we go again! We are proud to announce that our festival this year will be our seventeenth!

I would firstly like to extend a big thank you to everyone who has participated and supported us in the past, to ensure that this milestone has been reached and that our festival continues to feature as a major “go to” event in Scotland. We all know that Biggar is a wonderful town with a vibrant community and we trust that our festival goes a long way to reflect this.

We are once again working closely with the Edinburgh Fringe Festival company who are assisting us in providing online and box office ticket sales. Last year was the first time we tried this and we are confident that the small teething troubles we experienced then, have now been ironed out.

Our box office is also returning to its old location of the Gillespie Centre on the High Street. Our thanks go to The Corn Exchange for their assistance in hosting it last year.

So what do we have in store for everyone? Music, Dance, Drama, Literature and Comedy are all featured, in addition to an even bigger Artists Trail, an extended Biggar Day Out, plenty for the youngsters and even more workshops and exhibits.

Take your time and go through this printed programme at your leisure. There is something for everyone. However don’t take too long to book your tickets as many of the events are sure to be sell-outs.

Best wishes to you all and enjoy Biggar Little Festival 2019!

James Softley, Chairman.
