Leifeng Pagoda ( 雷峰塔 )» Aka "Imperial Concubine Pagoda", it was originally built by Qian Hongchu, king of Wuyue Kingdom, to worship the Buddha's hair relic and later became famous for being the temporary prison of Bai Suzhen, the heroine of the well-known legend White Snake Lady. A visit to magnificent pagoda will allow you to know more about the beautiful story. Overlooking at the top is a breathtaking view of West Lake and nearby Jingci Temple. Three Pools Mirroring the Moon ( 三潭印月·小瀛洲 ) » An independent island in West Lake shaped of the Chinese character "field", it fea-tures a spectacular layout of “island in the lake and lakes in the island”. There, you can have your photo taken with the iconic three stone towers whose image is printed on the back of RMB one-yuan note.

Gushan Hill（Solitary Hill 孤山 )» A scenic highlight by itself, it also offers an ideal location to view West Lake. Both Southern Song and Qing dynasties had imperial gardens and palaces set up. Rich in cul-tural relics, Gushan boasts Wenlange the ancient imperial library, Zhejiang Museum and Zhongshan Park in the south. To the west of the hill top, there is Xiling Seal Engraver’s Society, known as "First art society under heaven", where you can gain first-hand ex-perience in Chinese seal culture.

Guo’s Villa (Guozhuang 郭庄 )» A private garden most characteristic of Jiangnan (i.e. Southeastern China) landscap-ing, it features a nicely built pond whose water flows in from the nearby West Lake. An elegant teahouse allows you to sip tea and drink in the beautiful scenery of Lake at the same time. Every year, Guozhuang is the venue of seasonal flower exhibitions of variet-ies, such as orchids, lotus and chrysanthemums.

Viewing Fish at Flowery Pond ( 花港观鱼 )» A large park covering over 300 Chinese mu (20 ha), it is known for ornamental fish and flowers and is one of the few places in Hangzhou to enjoy blooming peonies, as well as begonia and cherry. A large pond with ten thousand red fish forms the center-piece of the park. It is fun to feed them on the zigzag bridge that spans over the water.

Tiger Spring ( 虎跑 )» A park famous for its spring water, it obtained the name from the legend of eminent Tang Dynasty monk Xingkong whose dream of two tigers digging the ground led to his discovery of the lucid water. West Lake Longjing Tea brewed with Tiger-spring water is viewed as the city’s best treat. In the green parkland, you can enjoy the fantastic land-scape, taste the famous spring water and visit an old Buddhist shrine. You should not be surprised by the throngs of local people who travel all the way to the park every-day to fetch water to brew tea at home.

Altar and Burial Site (祭坛墓地 )» Yaoshan, a natural hill some 35 meters above sea level, is located about 5 kilometers nor theast of Liangzhu ancient city.In 1987, for the first time, an altar of Liangzhu Culture was found on its top. Inverted buckets-shaped stone revetments are seen on both west and north. Under a flat top, rings of rectangular trenches were dug to form, from inside out-wards, a triple structure of red earth terrace, gray earth frame and gravel surface.
