VARIO TRIGGER: EXTREMELY FINE SETTINGS

The let-off point, first-stage travel and trigger weight of the VARIO trigger are precisely adjustable to suit your preferences. This innovative trigger operates without stressing other parts, minimizing the force required to fire a shot and optimizing the shooting accuracy. The ergonomically shaped trigger blade is located in the centre of the weapon. It can be variably positioned in longitude and in height as well as swivelled and rotated.

LOADING LEVER: LEFT OR RIGHT? YOU CHOOSE.

The easy-to-reach loading lever can be mounted on the left-hand or right-hand side as desired. That means a genuine left-hand system is possible. You can also load with your left hand from a firing position. The new shape of the ergonomic loading lever provides more room for positioning of the diopter in the longitudinal direction.

BREECH: PRECISE PELLET GUIDANCE

The spring-mounted guide pin ensures careful and precise guidance of the pellet. This prevents damage to the pellet and increases accuracy. The wide breech makes loading quicker and more convenient.

LOADING STATUS INDICATOR: MAXIMUM SAFETY

The Walther loading status indicator shows you at a glance whether a pellet has been inserted. Dry firing or inadvertent loading of a second pellet is prevented.

INSIGHT-OUT MATCH DIOPTER: CONVENIENT SETTING

With the new Walther INSIGHT-OUT match diopter we’ve spared no effort. It’s milled from the solid, making it extremely rugged in spite of its slim shape. The ball-bearing-mounted precision bearings ensure that each shot is the same as the previous one. And we’ve also thought of left-handers: a second lateral setting screw makes the diopter just as easy to set for left-handers as for right-handers.

CHEEK PIECECareful adjustment of the cheek piece is critically important for a comfortable and natural tilt of the head. The cheek piece of the LG400 can not only be moved in the longitudinal direction, but also adjusted in height and sideways.

DRY-PRACTICE MODEPractice anytime and anywhere: The trigger of the LG400 can be switched to dry-practice mode, quickly and without tools, so that shots are only simulated.

BUTT PLATEA small part, but very important: The MEC III butt plate of the LG400 is adjustable in twelve dimensions: it can be rotated, swivelled, shifted and angled with absolute precision to suit your firing position. When retracted, the LG400 stock is shorter than those of all currently available sport air rifles, making it ideal for younger users and female shooters.

3D GRIP WITH MEMORY EFFECTTotal control: The anatomic 3D grip comes in three sizes for optimum adjustment of the line of sight. It is fastened to a ball-and-socket joint that can be rotated and tilted in all directions. In addition, it can be moved lengthways in a guide rail. The grip angle setting is retained even after the grip has been disassembled.

THE E-TRIGGER: A MATCH WINNERAn electronic trigger offers persuasive advantages: smooth and quick firing, and a trigger pull weight that can be reduced to 15 g. Even in single-stage mode there is no risk of inadvertently firing a shot. A compact rechargeable battery has a capacity of more than 5,000 shots per charge. It can be recharged using a mini-USB from any PC or external charger – and after only about a minute of charging you’re ready for another 100 shots. There are very few mechanical components. This reduces wear, ensuring reliability and precision over many years.

Excellent strength, yet low weight, low material fatigue and good vibration damping: our innovative CARBON compressed air cylinder makes use of all the advantages of modern aluminium-carbon composites. The result is a cylinder that is 20 percent lighter than comparable aluminium variants and has an impressive service life of 20 years. Each cylinder must pass Walther’s HIGH-PRESSURE test process for maximum safety.

The LP500’s cleverly designed SADDLE breech makes loading easier and faster: The thumb and forefinger are guided to the right place for insertion of a pellet. Close the ergonomically shaped loading lever and you’re ready to shoot. This prevents damage to the pellet through handling – for maximum precision.

The LP500 uses state-of-art technology to ensure absolutely smooth and precise shooting characteristics. The ABSORBER, JET air channel, STABILIZER and COMPENSATOR interact intelligently to absorb recoil, prevent air turbulence behind the pellet and eliminate the impact of compressed air fed from the cylinder. Together they counteract muzzle jump and ensure better precision. In addition, the projectile velocity is fine-tuned to the system in order to minimize vibration when firing. JUST 39 YEARS OLD. 16 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A MASTER GUNSMITH.Matthias Schulzendorf has guns in his blood. His father was a hunting outfitter with his own store in northern Germany. After completing an apprenticeship in gunsmithing in Suhl, a traditional centre of gun production, he immediately went on to become a master gunsmith. Not surprisingly, he worked in weapons maintenance while doing his military service. But after completing his training, he decided not to return to the family business. Instead, he joined Carl Walther in Ulm – first in final inspection at the shooting range, and then in production of the P99. Later he helped to develop the Walther PPS, where he focused on practical tests and improvements. After the company relocated to a new factory, he helped to establish the new department for assembly of the PPS. In 2015 the management asked him to head the new Master Workshop – an idea that had long been discussed and was now ready for implementation.

Schulzendorf not only heads Walther’s Master Workshop, but also enjoys shooting with large-calibre firearms; he is active in the company’s shooting team, which is a member of the BDMP, Germany’s target-shooting association. Customers who have received advice from Matthias Schulzendorf know what a wealth of practical experience goes into his work.

THE PATH TO YOUR WALTHER FIREARM BEGINS AT YOUR DEALER –you’ll find the one nearest you on our website under Service / “Find your local Walther dealer”. Our dealer will take your order, handle invoicing, and put you in touch with the Master Workshop. Then you can look forward to your first contact with Matthias Schulzendorf. This can be by phone or e-mail. Or you can pay a personal visit to the workshop. It’s up to you. You can describe just what you want, discuss technical issues and explore possible alternatives. You’ll also receive a cost estimate. Of course, manual labour and customization are not cheap. But we’ll be clear and fair from the very start. Please note that the Master Workshop only makes new firearms. To enhance guns that you already own, get in touch with a qualified gunsmith of your choice. Once you place your order, Matthias Schulzendorf will calculate the time required for delivery. This may depend on a number of factors, such as the current order books, the time for delivery of special parts or the time spent waiting for external finishing companies, such as those that provide Cerakote coatings. Finally you’ll get the news: your firearm has been completed! We’ll carefully pack it, insure it and send it to your dealer to be collected. But you’re also welcome to pick it up at the Walther factory in Ulm, in which case you’ll have a chance to visit the workshop, enjoy a tour of the production buildings and visit the Walther museum.
