Dick Gregory's colnsnts included nulerousvulgarities and was generally nilitant in nature. The principal speaker was one Iccrey phonetic!,who reportedly was iron New York and who spent a considerableamount oi time explaining background developments concerningthe BPC tron Black caucuses held during the past severaldays at the NCNP Cenvention being held in the Palmer HouseHotel inthicago. lc�rey reierred to 13 resolutions ordemands made upon the NCNP by Black Delegates who had notso tar walked out oi the NCNP, and the possibility oi more oithese delegates joining the BPC.

In his book, "This Tine the Iorld," copyrighted in 1961,GEORGE LINCOLN ROCKWELL identified himself as Commander, AmericanNazi Party of the World Union of Free Enterprise National Socialists AN? - WUFENS!, Arlington, Virginia.

The April 4, 1963, issue of "The Richmond News Leader,?a Richmond, Virginia, daily newspaper, reported that GEORGE LINCOLNROCKIELL had, on the previous day, again applied for the AmericanNazi Party to be chartered in the State of Virginia, but thisrequest was turned down by the Virginia State Corporation CommissionThis action was taken pursuant to an act of the 1962 VirginiaAssembly which prohibits use of "Nazi" or "Nationalism Socialism" ina Virginia charter. This article further pointed out that ROCKWELL'sParty is presently chartered in the State of Virginia as the GeorgeLincoln Rockwell Party.

On August 14, 1964, a source advised that AN?-UUFENS wasorganized by GEORGE LINCOLN ROCKWELL at his residence in Arlington,Virginia, on February 26, 1956, as an international "National Socialist" movement based on the German Nazi Party headed by Adolf Hitler.He added that ROCKWELL is the dominant force and personality in thisParty; that he is espousing a "line" of hatred against the Jews andNegroes; and that he is seeking, through speeches, distribution ofliterature and picketing, to establish a cohesive and dominantpolitical party in the United States and in foreign countries.

According to the "Stormtrooper's Manual," an offizialpublication of the AHP, the phases of AMP struggle for power arefourfold, namely, first "to make ourselves known to the masses",second, "the dissemination of our program and truth about the Party"third, "organizing the people who have been converted to our propa-ganda"; and fourth, "the attainment of power through the votes ofthe neI1y�won masses."

On August 19, 1966, the source advised that GEORGE LINCOLNROCKWELL presently believes that he has completed the first twophases in his struggle for power and is wel into the third stage,to wit, "the organ zing of the people who have been converted toour propaganda." The source added that ROCKWELL had previouslybelieved that he would be elected Governor of Virginia in November,1965, and when defeated, he made the statement that he was not readyfor stage four.. a

Op December 27, 1966, the source advised that ROCKWELLmailed a communication to all members of the AR? entitled,�Rat1onalDirective from the Commander, Effective l/1/67." This communicationreflected that the formal name of the Party would he "NationalSocialist White Peop1e�s Party" and they would still be known asthe "American Nazi Party" and "American Nazis" for short.

On May 19, 1967, a Confidential Source, who hasfurnished reliable information in the past, advised thatapproximately 50 people left the residence of Ella Collins,22% West 139th Street, New York, New York, at about 11:30 a.m.,on May 19, 1967, to travel to the Ferncliff Cemetery, whereMalcolm X is buried. Among those who left were Mrs. Ella Collins,willie Starks, Chester Gresham, Arthur Grant, Louise Jeffers,Toni Ardelle, Dennis Brogdon, all of the Organization ofAfro-American Unity OAAU!, and Charles 37X Morris, of theBlack Nationalist Mau Mau Organization. Approximately 15 otherMau Mau members also attended. Charles 37X Morris and hisgroup were dressed in black uniforms, helmets with "Mau Mau"written on them and combat boots.

This group arrived at the Ferncliff Cemetery atapproximately 1:30 p.m. on May 19, 196?. Charles 37X and hisfollowers served as honorary guardsmen at the cemetery. Duringthe ceremony, a Malcolm X flag was unrolled and placed on thegravesite. The flag was then presented to Ella Collins andthen the group returned to Collins� residence in Harlem, New York.

On May 20, 1967, a second Confidential Source, who hasfurnished reliable information in the past, advised that on thatdate, the OAAU sponsored a rally at �Malcolm Square" located at125th Street and Tth Avenue, New York, New York, which began at3:30 p.m. and terminated at 6:30 p.m. It was estimated thatapproximately 250 people were on hand at the rally. This rallywas held to commemorate the birth of Malcolm X. Charles 37X,the Head of the Black Nationalist Mau Mau Organization, was one�of the speakers. He stated that the Negro people should sitdown in the streets of Harlem until a bust of Malcolm X iserected in Harlem. He also stated that places like Harlem shouldbe burned down and rebuilt.

Paul Boutelle of the Socialist Workers Party SUP!, spokabout the colonization of Africa and the white man's exploitationof the black man. He mentioned-the same thing is taking placein the United States. He also stated that the war in Vietnamwas an unJust one.

This source also stated that Ella Collins, Head of theOAAU, spoke on how she loved Malcolm X and how Malcolm's so-calledfriends betrayed him. She talked about the pil�rimage to thecemetery on May 19, 1967, and stated that some ,0OO studentsin California, refused to go to school on Malcolm's birthday. Shementioned that this should be done in Harlem since Malcolm was apart of Harlem.

On May 21, 196?, a third Confidential Source, who hasfurnished reliable information in the past, advised that on thatdate, a Memorial Tribute to Malcolm X was held at the residenceof Ella Collins, 22h West 139th Street, New York, New York. In addition to tteeconomic and social oppression there is official policesupression in Lowndes County. The Negro population havedecided to have a say and have formed the Lovndes CountyFreedom Organization LCFO! in order to assure that the peoplecan come together demwcratically to elect their candidates.

LCFO is known informally as the "Black PantherParty" because of its symbol, which stands for coureze, deter-mination and freedom.

power were needed. He blamed the CIA for the murder of MalcolmX. The widow of Malcolm X arrived furing the third speech--the audience gave her a standing welcome. She referred to 22 concentrationcamps_ln this country that were training blacks for when itwas time to strike.

H. A. Jamal introduced as the Director of theOrganization of Afro-American Unity in California, criticizedthose who had rioted in San Francisco and watts for backingdown after a few concessions had been made and declared that onlythe armed men in the room were really ready. He stated that blackmen needed to unify under one leader and that black and whitemen could never live together.

Other sources who attended this meeting, which theystated was public for black people only, reported similarlyas to the general remarks made at the meeting, except inregard to Barbara Auther. None of them reported informationconcerning training camps for black men, however whenspecifically questioned on this point they advised as follows:

at Oakland Direct Action Committee ODAC! headquarters, 8512 Eastlkth Street, Oakland, California, MARK EVERETT COMFORT, Chairmanof ODAC, held a press conference. COHFORT_stated that the objectiveof ODAC was to organize the Negro community, particularly in theeastern section of Oakland, commonly known as East Oakland. He saidthat ODAC would make demands for equal housing, equal job oppor~,nltunities and living conditions and would educate the Negrocommunity to realize that "things are not as good as they seem."COMFORT said that ODAC, in contrast to existing civil rightsorganizations, would strongly emphasize police brutality.

The January 25, 196R issue of the People's World" PU!, page 3, contains an invitation to the 26thanniversary celebration of the P", to be held onFebruary 1, 196R, in San Francisco, California.This invitation lists MARK COMFORT as one of fourspecial guests to be honored at this celebration.

The PU is a West Coast Communist newspaper.

A fourth source advised that as of April 1966, ODFCis operatinc out of COHFORT's residence, 691% LockwoodAvenue, Oakland, where COMFORT is assisted by his wifeand a Negro teen-age gang known as the Ala Boy Dukes.

PLM!, held its first national convention April 15-18,New York City, to organize the PLM into a PLP. Thehave as its ultimate objective the establishment of aworking class movement based on Marxism-Leninism.

"New York Times" City Edition, Tuesday, April 20, 1965,reported that a new party of "revolutionary socialism"

was formally founded on April 18, 1965, under the name of thePLP. The PLP was described as an outgrowth of the PLM. Itsofficers were identified as HILTON ROSEN, New York, President, andWILLIAM EPTON of New York, and MORT SCHEER of San Francisco,Vice Presidents. A 20-member National Committee was elected todirect the party until the next convention.

According to the article, "The Progressive Labor Movementwas founded in 1962 by Mr. ROSEN and Hr. SCHEER after they wereexpelled from the Communist Party of the United States forassertedly following the Chinese Communist line".

The PLP publishes "Progressive Labor", a bi-monthly magazine,If II ' vChallenge, a bi-weekly hew York City newspaper, and "Spark,"a West Coast newspaper. A

The June l, 1965, issue of "Challenge," page 6, statesthat "this paper is dedicated to fight for a new way of lifewhere the working men and women own and control their homes,factories, the police, courts, and the entire government onevery level."

The source advised that the PLP utilizes the address ofGeneral Post Office Box B08, Brooklyn l, New York, but alsoutilizes an office in Room 622, 132 Nassau Street, New York City,where PLP publications are prepared.

A source has advised that on October 25-27, 1963,a conference of members of the Communist Party CP!, includingnational functionaries, met in Chicago, Illinois, for the purposeof setting in motion forces for the establishment of a newnational Marxist-oriented youth organization which would hunt forthe most peaceful transition to socialism. The delegates weretold that it would be_reasonable to assume that the youngsocialists attracted into this new organization would eventuallypass into the CP itself. '

A second source has advised that the founding conventionfor the new youth organization was held fro June 19-21, 196R, at150 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, California, at which timethe W. E. B. DuBois Clubs of America DCA! was adopted. Approx-imately 500 delegates from throughout the United States attendedthis convention. The aims of this organization, as set forth inthe preamble to the constitution, are: "It is our belief that thisnation can best solve its problems in an atmosphere of peacefulcoexistence, complete disarmament and true freedom for all peoplesof the world, and that these solutions will be reached mainlythrough the united efforts of all democratic elements in our:ountry, composed essentially of the working people allied in theinity of Negroes and other minorities with whites.
