The Amendment proposes to modify thevarious vegetation protection controls whichapply across much of the municipality, to reviseand provide for greater consistency between thedifferent permit requirements and permitexemptions for the removal, destruction andlopping of vegetation. In general terms theAmendment will:l standardise the terminology and format of all

vegetation protection controls. This includesensuring that the permit requirements andexemptions apply to all vegetation and notjust trees;

l where appropriate provide for a morestandard set of permit exemptions and deleteredundant exemptions; and

Schedule 2 to the Environmental SignificanceOverlay will also be varied to correct atranslation error from the old format PlanningScheme and to clarify where it applies.

2. Subject to paragraph 3, this exemptionapplies until the expiration of 2 years afterthe grant of the licence (if the licence isgranted), or until the expiration of 28 daysafter the application lapses or is withdrawnor refused.
