Travel always inspires me. This collection was influenced by a trip I took to Morocco. My favorite part of Morocco was visiting Fez. It is a beautiful city. Most buildings are very simple on the outside so you really have no indication of how beautiful they are until you go inside.

The hotel I stayed at was a mix of old and new, combining many styles and patterns. The tile patterns we saw throughout our hotel led to the creation of our Bella Poolside top.

I visited Majorelle Garden while in Marrakech. It is famous for its blue color and is the place where Yves St. Laurent’s ashes are scattered. Several of our tops were inspired by my visit there.

Going to Morocco was an adventure I will not forget and it continues to influence me in many ways. I hope you enjoy our new collection.

A b o u t K a t h y P e t e r s o n When Kathy Peterson first began designing scrubs, she noticed that many manufacturers viewed design as an afterthought. Scrubs were more about function than fashion. As a former designer for companies ranging from Guess to Carole Little, Kathy believed that healthcare professionals would welcome a more fashionable approach to scrubs. After a successful stint as Director of Design for a leading scrubs manufacturer, Kathy followed her heart and founded koi.Kathy grew up in Hawaii and currently resides in Los Angeles.
