Sherubtse is an out-standing Liberal Arts and General Science

College in Bhutan.

Although founded more than a decade earlier as a Pub-lic School, Sherubtse made a history in 1983 as the first institution to provide univer-sity education in Bhutan. With academic affiliation to Delhi University (DU), Sherubtse remained a hub of modern education for de-cades in Bhutan, educating youth in Science, Econom-ics, Commerce, Geography, Dzongkha, English, and His-tory.

Another defining moment in Sherubtse’s milestone came in 2003, with the founding of Royal University of Bhu-

tan (RUB). Sherubtse was embraced as a constituent College, along with hosts of other institutes from across the Country. Under RUB, Sherubtse has diversified its academic programmes and today offers an array of courses by five big depart-ments: Arts & Humanities, Social Science, Mathemat-ics & Computer Science, Physical Science and Envi-ronmental & Life Science. Our academic staff is com-posed of a dedicated group of scholars in a range of dis-ciplines, with qualifications certified by some of the best universities in the world. A mix of local and expatriate staff deliver an exciting and meaningful curriculum to the future leaders of the country. Located in a pristine and

peaceful environment in Kanglung, Sherubtse pro-vides good ambience for learning and happiness. The surrounding villages, farms, mountains, forests, streams, several cultural and histor-ical sites, besides comple-menting meaningful learning provides excellent locations for excursion and nature ex-ploration.
