WehadvolunteersfromPatanjaliYogSamiti,Mrs.ChitraShenoyandMr.Mehulwhoconductedbasictrainingonsimpleandeffectiveasanas,pranayama,exerciseandmeditationoninternationalyogaday!Thesessionwasof45minutesandstartedwithayogicwarmup-arejuvenatingroutinewithexercise,joggingandbreathingformaximumrevitalization!Itwasanamalgamationofstanding,sittingandlyingexerciseswithpranayamas.Thebene�itofeachandeveryasanawasexplainedandthecorrectwaytodoitwasshown.Childrenlearnedalotandtheyrealisedthatyogaisveryimportantintheirdailyroutine.

Gogreen!Learningabouttheenvironmentpromotesahealthycommunityandhealthylifestyleandimportanteducationalskills.Participatingingogreenpromotesstrategybuildingandstimulatescreativity.Decisionmakingtaskswillintroducechildrentoproblemsolvingskillsandpromotethinking.Theseskillsallowchildrentobestrongerbetterinschool,whoarefutureLeadersoftomorrow.Onoccasionofworldenvironmentdaycelebratedon5thJune,studentsofS.E.internationalSchoolhadaGOgreendayon22ndjune,2018.Amajorplantationactivityandenvironmentalawarenessprogramwasconducted.Theentireeventwitnessedawholeheartedresponsefromthestudents.Classroomswe'redecoratedinaccordancewiththetheme.Skits,speech,poemrecitationandpresentationswerepreparedbythestudentswiththeteachers'guidance.VariousthemespertainingtoenvironmentalawarenesslikeSaveMarineWorld,Afforestration,RecycleReuseandReduce,Pollutioncontrol,BanPlasticandFuturewithSustainabledevelopmentwereextensivelycoveredbythestudents.Asthestudentshavewitnessedmanyenvironmentalawarenessinitiativesbynow,theyunderstandtheimportanceoftreeplantationsandtheimportanceofprotectingtheenvironment.Suchinitiativesareessentialforabetterfuturecitizenandourfuturepollutionfreeworld.
