Sant Nirankari January 202006

O nce again, it's the time when having bid goodbye to last year (2019), we are welcoming the new year - 2020.

It's time to count our blessings and be thankful to God for all that He had bestowed on us. This thanksgiving is highly valued in our scriptures. However, it

is a human tendency that we take physical, mental and material assets bestowed on us by God as granted and keep complaining and feel sad about any deficiencies that

we have in life. Being able bodied, we fail to realize the importance of our limbs. Only differently-abled people (blind or those without arms/legs) know it. We also do not value the life- sustaining gifts of God like oxygen which we inhale with each breath and water which is a source of our sustenance. But if we think of millions of people who are less fortunates than us, we will have no reason to complain. Rather we will be grateful to God.

The greed for material wealth is the cause for our dissatisfaction, unhappiness and complaining attitude. It's not that in this material world, we do not need money to lead a good life. Vedas also do not find anything wrong in riches as long as we gather it with honest means. But the problem arises when we run after excessive wealth and do not hesitate to even adopt unfair means. This happens because we fail to differentiate between need and greed. And due to this, we completely forget or ignore the real purpose of life to attain God.

The lust for excessive wealth brings all kinds of negative qualities in us like jealousy, ego, dishonesty etc Baba Ji always dwelled on it and taught us to maintain a balance between material and spiritual wealth.

In today's society dominated by materialism, many of us have a misconception that wealth can guarantee us joy. We also overlook the reality that our physical, mental and material wealth belongs to God and we are mere custodians. Once we have this realization after attaining God knowledge, we will not madly run after wealth; instead we will develop the feeling of contentment and gratitude. Through God knowledge, we also come to realize that our real identity is not perishable body but soul which is eternal. And once we have this realization, we will be above joys and sorrows associated with body.

Then, we will not have the feeling of sadness or suffering when we have deficiencies or sorrows in life.Having developed such a state of mind, we will develop the attitude of gratitude, realizing that

happiness is not about getting what you want, it is about loving what you have and being grateful for that. That is why it is said - In happy moments, praise God; in difficult moments, seek God. In quiet moments, worship God; in painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God. Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji tells us that if each moment of our life is being spent in gratitude, then we not only get closer to God, but we become one with Him.

Let us pray to Satguru Mata Ji to bless us so that we develop the sense of gratitude to Nirankar and living with it, we not only come closer to God but become one with Him- the source of eternal joy.

Samalkha (Haryana) 16 November 2019 : Saints, We have gathered here on the occasion of the 72nd Nirankari Sant Samagam with the feeling that though the Mission may be only 90 years’ old, yet the message of the truth has been only one since centuries due to the fact that the truth has remained same and the Mission is taking this message forward ever since its formation.

Further, the theme given to this Samagam is “Truth, Love and Oneness”, the qualities which have undoubtedly been beneficent to the entire mankind since centuries.

If we delve into the Truth, we find that it is not something which exists as a truth for a few moments and then changes into untruth.

This Truth has been constantly existing since eras together, remains static and constant in any given situations. This Truth - Lord is indestructible, non-inflammable and unwettable. He is fixed and does not change Every thing in worldly sense is shakeable but Truth-Lord is unshakeable in any circumstances. When the soul meets with Super Soul, the Truth takes the form of Love. In other words, at a point where soul and super soul meet each other, love and faith arise. Once we come to truly identify ourselves, we find our own image

in everyone else. And with this, the feeling of oneness develops. This message is not a recent one; rather this has been taught to us by saints since eras that there should be the feeling of universal brotherhood and of world without walls. Let there be no differences of high or low, and let there be the presence of One God in each one of us. And when we see Him in persons before us, we become confident that it is only One God that exists in all of us.

This awareness comes to us after attaining divine knowledge and if we keep this awareness for ever, our life gets refined with every moment.

Whereas we can give a beneficent direction to our life, we also give a message to the world that like we have brightened our face, others should also do the same through self realization. We should realize this Lord who is present everywhere in the entire universe and in every pore of our body.

May Lord bless us all so that we are able to beautify our inner self instead of just outer looks and perform our tasks treating them as our responsibilities towards the world.

Saints; Say with Love, Dhan Nirankar Ji!

Divine Knowledge is Key to the Welfare of Humanity

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 07

On the Occasion of the Prayer Day organized on 14 November 2019 (Thursday), at the Sant Nirankari Spiritual Complex, Samalkha (Haryana), Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj said:

Satguru's Discourse

Rev. Saints, say with one voice, Dhan Nirankar!Saints, On the occasion of Prayer Day, we have

gathered here to submit before Lord Nirankar that our bond with Him gets further strengthened.

Sant Samagam is like a meeting of the soul with Nirankar; and when it happens, a sangat takes place.

When we pronounce with firm belief ‘Say with love, Dhan Nirankar’ we are certain that by making Him as the anchor of our life , there will not only be a tremendous improvement in our words, actions and thoughts, the pious love for Nirankar will also settle in each and every vein of our. Our eyes will then look at the beauty behind every thing.

The purpose of rendering service by all saints and sewadal volunteers is simply to wish that this Samagam proves beneficial to everyone. As far as facilities are concerned, we should render our services with a complete sense of surrender and without the slightest of ego. As long as such a spirit prevails in our hearts, it will be a true service; otherwise it would only be a mechanical work.a More we keep Lord Nirankar in our memory and absorb Him in life, more determinedly will we be able to tread the path of devotion.

a Negative thoughts turn a disciple into a mind follower, affected by each ups and downs in the world.a Keeping one's firm faith in Nirankar, makes one stable in nature as it becomes clear that all the ups and downs are temporary and leave no impact.a We have attained God-Knowledge and our sole purpose now is to become a better person. Feeling Him every moment in life, we must start thinking positively and progressively.a Besides living closely with family members or dear ones, we should be attached with the spirit of ‘World One Family’ because the entire world is our own irrespective of colour, caste, religion, etc. All are our own.a While talking about 90-year journey of the Mission, we are witnessing today in this Samagam, the lively example of saints with different life styles decorated in a single bouquet, and are so effectively exhibiting before the world an example of ‘Harmony in Diversity’ and ‘World Without Walls’.

We must bear in mind that all souls are just like our own and we have to win everyone’s heart. While rendering services, we must pray to Nirankar to make us polite and humble so that with our behaviour, we can showcase ourselves as proud Nirankaris, belonging to this Mission.

REPORT72nd Annual Sant Samagam

A UNIQUE SPECTACLE OF LOVE, PEACE AND HARMONY

January 2020 09Sant Nirankari

DAY 116 NOVEMBER, 2019 (SATURDAY)

16 November 2019: On this inaugural day of the 72nd Sant Samagam, the venue of the Samagam, viz, Sant Nirankari Spiritual Complex, G.T. Road , Samalkha (Haryana) was fully ready in all respects. Last year, during the grand 71st Sant Samagam organized on this very ground, it was officially announced to hold the 3-day 72nd Sant Samagam at the same venue. However, it looked clear on the ‘Prayer Day’ (14 November) itself that the actual Samagam had begun. The function of the Prayer

Day was organized in a huge ground facing the central

enclosure of the main 72nd Samagam. Under the benign presence of Satguru Mata Ji, saints hailing from far off countries expressed their pleasure in the form of speeches, poems and songs for the ensuing Samagam. This event made everyone feel that the main event - the 72nd Samagam - had come too close, i.e., coming Saturday. This would also include several grand and important events like sewadal rally on Sunday and the General Body Meeting, followed by a multilingual poetry symposium on Monday. This time, an extra day was allocated in the form of ‘Guru Vandana’ on 19 November, consisting of spiritual songs, music, skits so as to receive blessings both from Satguru and saints.

Many new facilities were introduced this year for the visiting saints. This was made possible because

of untiring efforts as well as blessings of Satguru. In addition to

the grandeur of the main enclosure,

a number of side enclosures were erected to

nect itself with the Super Soul, instantaneously starts treading the path of liberation. The Mis-sion has been working in this direction for the last 90 years.

The congregation began with a melodious re-cital of a verse from ‘Avtar Bani’ by Sister Shivani & Party (Delhi): ‘Satgur meinu sharni laya…….(My Master has accepted me in His Holy feet….)’. These touching lines made it clear that all the doubts or suspicions are removed upon getting the shelter of Satguru. Sorrows go away and comforts begin com-ing in life. After these pious feelings, next presenta-tion was another verse from ‘Hardev Bani’ by Rev. Rohit Verma and Saurabh Girdhar Ji of Gurugram (Haryana). They sang ‘Tu Hi Tu Hi Nirankar Kiye Ja, Mann Anand Uthaye Ja….(Keep repeating Tu Hi Nirankar and enjoying the bliss…..)’.

Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji was arriving at the Main Enclosure. A huge crowd of saints was present, each feeling obliged to have Satguru’s holy glimpse with hands folded and hearts filled with love and respect. All were feeling lucky to have a pious glimpse of Satguru in this manner. On the stage, Sunny Ji & Party were reciting a song: ‘Daras Hue Dhan Bhag Prabhu Morey…..(O’ My Lord, your

viz, Samagam Committee, Accounts, Magazines, Press & Publicity, Branch Administration, Land Acquisition, Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, Sewadal, etc. There was yet another enclosure specially prepared for the Nirankari Exhibition. For the ease of traffic handling, comparatively wider roads were provided. At the Bhadwal Manjri Railway Station, a short halt for almost all the trains was provided for the convenience of travelling saints. A temporary bus stand was also created for all roadways buses at the G.T. Road. Together with a grand entrance of the Samagam, huge banners of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji and posters giving information about Samagam attracted people to visit Samagam.

The Mission incepted in 1929 had now completed 90 long years. It was therefore expected that various special and touching memories spanning this long and illustrious journey would be narrated by legendary speakers.

The time for the beginning of the first day congregation was fast approaching. Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji, sitting in a palanquin and accompanied by Rev. Ramit Chandna, slowly headed towards the Main Enclosure. Soaked with devotion and faith, saints were too pleased to have the holy glimpse of their Satguru. The whole atmosphere became devotional with loud and cheerful victory slogans of Satguru. Every one wanted to satisfy his/her spiritual thirst with a holy glimpse of Satguru to cleanse their hearts, remove worries and sorrows, and fill with humility and gratitude. The entire scene was simply spectacular with groups of saints around palanquin greeting Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji.

Congregation: 2.00 pm

Rev. Kuldip Singh Ji was on the stage to be-gin the proceedings of the first day of the 72nd Nirankari Sant Samagam. He was saying that there is no doubt that the soul that is able to con-

glimpse has blessed my destiny……….).Now, it was time for Satguru’s message for

the world. Conveying Her message to the entire mankind, Satguru Mata Ji said: “Dear Saints! We all have come here to celebrate the 72nd Nirankari Sant Samagam. This Mission of Truth has been working for the last 90 years now. The theme taken for this Samagam is ‘Truth-Love-Oneness’ which has been the most important and benevolent basis for the mankind since centuries. Truth remains the truth for ever, and not just for a few moments only. This truth has been prevalent since eras and has never changed with time. With this message of Truth, let the mankind be inspired to correctly identify itself and know this Omnipresent existing in each pore. May Lord bless us all to embellish our inner self while performing our responsibilities in the world.

Satguru Mata Ji’s message for the mankind emanated as a sincere approach for human welfare and further refinement of humans. The message conveyed to the media representatives a clear understanding about the actual goal of the Sant Samagam. They all looked willing to spread it everywhere.

An opportunity was now being given to Rev.

Shubham Ji from Pathankot (Punjab). A devotional song in Punjabí was presented by him: ‘Assi Karna Ae Pyar Sub Naal……(We will love all…..)’.

After Punjab, it was the turn for Bhilwara (Rajasthan). Rev. Jagpal Singh Ranawat expressing his feelings said that after the arrival of Satguru, human approach towards life becomes positive, resulting in good and positive actions. Swami Vivekananda Ji travelled throughout India and also abroad and imparted Knowledge. His glory is heard till now because his approach was positive. Today, the Mission is also inspiring people to imbibe positivity.

Following this, Rev Puran Chand & Party from Shahbad Markanda presented a Haryanvi folk song: ‘Mein Teri Sharan Mein Aaya, Tene Kar Diya … ( I came to your shelter and you made each moment of my life….).

Rev. Shubham Nathani Ji from Beragarh (Madhya Pradesh) was now invited at the stage. He presented a meaningful devotional song: ‘Tu Hi Palanhaar Hamara Tu Hi Sahara Hai….. (You are our lone protector as well as the anchor…)’.

Another shade of Telugu was added to the colourful lingual brilliance on stage. Sister Kavita Ji from Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) expressed her

sentiments in Telugu language meaning that all of us should embellish ourselves with human qualities. Further, a verse from Holy Gita related to Mahabharata was explained: ‘Hey Arjuna! You should go to the knowledgeable saints, bow before them and request for grant of knowledge of soul).

After this, a team from Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) - Sister Bharati

Sant Nirankari January 202012

& Party - presented a devotional song in their native language, viz, Bundelkhandi: ‘Yo Tan Ram Bhajan Ke Laney…. (This body is meant for singing the praise of Lord Rama….).

The land oAfter this beautiful and inspiring presentation,

next invitee coming to the stage was Rev. Purshottam Lal Ji from Delhi. Expressing his feelings, he said: ‘In all the three worlds (entire universe), Guru is above all; no one else is above him. As saints say, a doer is unable to accomplish the tasks as it is the Satguru who alone can do anything. One of such acts is that he reveals God which even God cannot do by Himself. Satguru has saved us by accepting us. Satguru wants to teach us but, unfortunately, we are hardly ready to learn. If we learn what he wants to teach, we can never be a loser. There would never be a cause for any doubt in our minds.

The land of Punjab belongs to saints and sages, and its language is considered as pious. The spiritual songs in Punjabi language contain special flavour and carry effective messages for masses. Rev. Pushpinder Puppi & Party from Ludhiana were now presenting a Punjabi devotional song: ‘Satguru Sohni Duniya Saja Reha…. (Satguru is creating a beautiful world ….)’. The stage was now handed over to Rev. Vivek ‘Rafiq’ to conduct further. On the other side, the devotees moving in queues kept entering the Main Enclosure to pay obeisance to Satguru. There was an atmosphere of gaiety and joy all over. Now the mike was being handed over to Rev. Rajan Suri Ji from Mohali (Punjab). He said that a glimpse of Satguru is greatly rewarding. We have heard several times that without Satguru, there can be no liberation. This soul wants liberation as it has to reach its destination. But without Satguru, this journey neither starts nor ends. The soul’s train is stand still at the ‘Me and Mine’ station. It

is a platform of temporary desires, sorrows and difficulties. Knowledgeable saints here share one common factor, viz, we all have attained the God-Knowledge sitting in the feet of Satguru. Because of Him we are able to see and feel this Omnipotent. After attaining Knowledge, each disciple has one action to undertake, i.e. to imbibe Him in hearts and maintain a close and strong relationship with Him.

Now, Preet Sisters from Phagwara (Punjab) came on the stage. They presented a song: ‘Poore Murshad Ne Banh Phar Lei Te Muk Gayian Judaiyan Ne….(My Master has held my arm, and all the separations are over…..)’.

Next to come on stage was Rev. Pradeep Sokhe Ji from Talwara (Punjab). He expressed his views: ‘When humans separate, the humanity ends. Each man becomes enemy of another. At this difficult juncture, Satguru descends and establishes humanity; brings humans closer. We have long heard that benevolence is the basis of religion; and the basis of religion is benevolence. First comes the benevolence in life and then the religion. Where does this benevolence come from? How is it produced? Who is the ocean of benevolence? All these questions have only one answer - this Lord Nirankar shows mercy and comes onto the earth in

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 13

the form of Satguru; bestows God-Knowledge and connects the man with the Lord.

Rev. Gurmit Chandan & Party from Tarantaran (Punjab) came on stage to convey the Mission’s message in the form of a devotional song in Punjabi language: ‘Na Vair Hove Na Taqrar Hove, Har Pasey Pyar Hi Pyar Hove….. (In place of confrontation, let there be love and only love…).

After this effective message of truth, Rev. Baby Neelam Pali Ji from Jodhpur (Rajasthan) expressed her thoughts; ‘O Man, Get awake, as you are born only with this aim. You have taken many births on this earth. After the circle of 84 lakh different births, the soul gets dominated by ego. It gets lost as to whom these victories, defeats and confrontations are meant for. It forgets that one who comes in this world would have to finally depart; why should then there by a reason to endure ego. Baba Hardev Singh Ji had, in the ‘Hardev Bani’, it is categorically emphasized that King Ravana was a highly learned person, yet his ego became the cause of his downfall. Therefore, Satguru Mata Ji please bless us so that we could appropriately understand and imbibe lessons of love, humility and tolerance as taught by you. Please be kind enough to help us cross life’s ocean smoothly.

After this prayer, next opportunity was given to Rev. Kamal Dadlani Ji from Washington (America). He said that making attendance here is a great fortune, as the glimpse of Satguru makes one pious. Wherever Satguru puts Her feet, the atmosphere around becomes pure. A step into Satguru’s court makes one’s views positive. The Nirankari Mission has acquired an important status in the global society. it is specially focussing on youth. In America, an adolescent of 14 years was arrested as he continuously fired shots at others. In this

context, the practical teachings of love to youth by Satguru are extremely relevant and important. He requested Satguru Mata Ji to visit America to kindly provide necessary guidance to the American youth .

Rev. Sanjay Aher Ji & Party from Thane (Maharashtra) presented a song in English: ‘The Mission of Truth has taught us to love for ages. Love is God. The True Master loves us, shows us the way of love’.

The golden history of the Mission spanning 90 years was narrated by various saints in their thoughts. The President of the Sant Nirankari Mandal, Shri Gobind Singh Ji was now heartily welcoming the entire assembly of saints. Referring to the Mission’s proud history, he said, ‘Today, we are celebrating the 72nd Samagam. These samagams date back to 1948 initiated at the demise of Shri Sajjan Singh Ji. God has so kindly blessed us that today lakhs and lakhs of saints get an opportunity to visit Sant Samagam. The true gratitude to Satguru lies in following Her words in right spirit. ‘Not only should we say ‘True Satguru’, but also confess that this gift, biggest of all materials, has very kindly been bestowed on us. Everyone is referring to 90 years of Mission's history. I had the fortune of attaining the Knowledge from

Satguru Baba Avtar Singh Ji in the year 1944 in Peshawar, and had

the opportunity to remain in his feet for a long time. How

the Mission has progressed does not require any

Sant Nirankari January 202014

extra emphasis. The world is surprised that the progress of this magnitude and assembly of such a large number of saints whch is simply because of the grant of God-Knowledge, and connecting us with this True Lord. The entire world says that the God cannot be attained with such an ease. But, Satguru did it. If one gets a true Lord Master, one can attain it. The ancient saints have said ‘Listen to the True Satguru and see the God close by. We can see that Satguru is around us all the time. I had the opportunity to be with Baba Avtar Singh Ji, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and Baba Hardev Singh Ji. Satguru Mata Savinder Ji also showered a lot of love, and today Mata Sudiksha Ji also is doing the same. Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj taught us love which must be imbibed by all of us. A saint once made a mention of so many fights going around the world. To this, Baba Ji said: ‘Spread love, as without love nothing is going to normalize’. We must, therefore, move on in life as per his teachings. Our duty is to assimilate his teachings which bring forth true discipleship. May Lord bless us with a life capable of absorbing Nirankar in life so as to make it successful.

Bhojpuri is the sweetest language spoken in the northern part of India. Rev. Dinesh Ji & Party from Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) presented a melodious devotional song in this language ‘Bharam Hataa Diya Hamra……’ (All our suspicions have been removed…..)’. And, to awaken the world, Satguru Mata Ji is making efforts round the clock.

Next one was Rev. Sakshi Kalia Ji from Pashchim Vihar (Delhi). Expressing her thoughts, she said that in this fast moving life, most of the people are confused about their existence. We may earn countless degrees, yet we would always find ourselves losers if we do not get the super knowledge. A person having unlimited luxuries would still feel lost having a directionless life. Satguru has connected us with God and has created such a strong relationship with Him that we are in a state where He plans our careers, or rather everything. We will, therefore, have to make our relationship with Lord Nirankar. Whenever we have tried to connect ourselves with Him leaving aside our ego and worries, Lord Nirankar has granted us such a blissful state which simply cannot be described. Like a person having only heard about the honey will

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 15

go crazy once he tastes it. He would then like to taste it repeatedly. Thanks to Satguru for having tied us with Nirankar. Let us, therefore, beg of Him, adore Him for all His favours and be one with Him.

Rev. H.S. Upashak Ji (England), the legendary saint of the Mission, came up to the stage to conduct further proceedings of the day. Referring back to the Mission's history, he said that the past 90 years of the Mission remind us, first of all, the period immediately after partition of the country during which most of the saints were almost destroyed, yet they used each penny for benevolence. Seeing their own children hungry, no one thought of touching Sangat’s money. This state of mind has laid the foundation of this Mission. Today, if our schools include spirituality in children’s curricula, the government would have no need for working on plans and projects and expend huge amounts for removing evils like intoxication or indiscipline in the society.

With the emphatic dogma, Rev. Upashik invited Rev. Dharambir & Party from Phagwara (Punjab). They rendered a devotional song in Hindi: ‘Sub Mein Tu Hai, Na Doosra Koi……(You exist in all and no one else……)’.

Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji was now releasing the book ‘Mere Hardev’ (My Hardev) brought out by the Mission in the memory of the great contributor to the Mission, viz, Baba Hardev Singh

Ji during the unforgettable and proud 90-year history of the Mission. Rev. Raj Kumari Ji (Mami Ji), Member In-charge, Publication Department, Shri Khushvinder Naul ‘Mintu Ji’ (Coordinator Publication), Sister Raj Vasdev Singh Ji (Member In-charge, Branch Administration) and Dr Gyanmani Saxena Ji receivied Satguru’s blessings. Describing about ‘Mere Hardev’, Shri Rakesh Mutreja Ji said: ‘At this 72nd Samagam, we are getting this beautiful gift in heritag of these 90 years. As per Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji’s wishes, we have to keep on marching ahead. There will always be a reference about 36 years of journey undertaken during Baba Hardev Singh Ji’s stewardship. He never cared about his health, never looked at any time of the day, but always went ahead for the welfare of the humanity. On every ‘Guru-Puja Diwas’, his slogan of ‘man should love and become a helping hand to other fellow beings’ is remembered and dedicated to him. In which language must we offer him our gratitude and praise for his unlimited favours to humanity. The entire Nirankari family endeavored to pen down his teachings in the form of a book. It has now been published and is being offered in the feet of Satguru Mata Ji by the team. Sister Bindiya Chhabra’s contribution had been critical for this publication. With these gratifying remarks, the book ‘Mere Hardev’ was released.

Sant Nirankari January 202016

Now came Sister Gyanmani Saxena Ji from Gurgram (Haryana) on the stage. She expressed her thoughts by saying that it was a matter of great pleasure and an ocean of emotions was fast flowing in her mind. First of all, salutations to Satguru with whose benevolence, the book ‘Mere Hardev’ was possible to be released as was also the desire of Mata Savinder Ji. An insight of Baba Hardev Singh Ji was in our hands in the form of the book. Satguru Mata Savinder Ji felt that the life of Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj - full of unending qualities and benevolences - should be put on paper. During compilation, It was felt that it may not be possible to pen down in brief such a magnanimous personality. Mata Ji blessed us, however, that Nirankar would get it done. And today, with Satguru Mata Ji’s blessings, the book is reaching saints’ hands. It is prayed that it receives love from everyone.

The panorama of Sant Samagam containing different languages was very attractive. Hailing from Kempten (Germany), Rev. Gaurav Ji described, in German language, about the Mission’s message of truth and innumerable kind acts of Satguru.

Next to follow was a mini poet’s court. The beginning was made by Rev. Saqi Faridkoti Ji (Faridkot, Punjab). He started with a couplet that: ‘Pyar, Mohabbat, Namarta Da Saanjha Ik Sansar Bane……(Let there be a global world with common prevalence of Love, humility…..)’. Next poet was Rev. Krishna Nizami (Sonepat, Haryana). He said: ‘Oonch Neech Ke Bhed Mita Ke Subne Gale Laga Reha Se….. (Removing differences of high and low, each one is being embraced here…..)’. Next one was Rev. Bikkar Singh ‘Manak’ from Giddarbaha (Punjab) to express his feelings : ‘Avtar Gurbachan Di Sambhal Da Safar Hai, Mission Ne Kita 90 Saal Da Safar Hai…..(This is the journey of heritage of Baba Avtar Singh Ji and Gurbachan Singh Ji. It is the journey of those 90 years completed by the Mission…)’. Rev. Mandip Singh Ji from Jaito Mandi (Punjab) recited his poem in English: ‘In 1929, the

glowing light of Baba Buta Singh Ji sowed seed of Brahm-Gyan; It has no difference, same as told in Bible, Gita and Kuran).

Sister Mamta Makhija, Kota (Rajasthan) was invited on stage to recite her poem. In her Hindi poem, she said, ‘Teri Shiksha Ko Jeevan Mein Dhal Paun Yehi Iltiza HaI……(My submission is to imbibe your teachings in life…..)’. Next poem came from Rev. Surinder Shah Ji from Ludhiana (Punjab), who said: ‘Na Daulat Kaam Aati Hai Na Shohrat Kaam Aati Hai….(Neither the wealth nor popularity works; it is your devotion only that indeed works)’.

The first day congregation was at its peak. Devotees continued to move in lines towards Satguru, with a deep desire to get a look of the benevolent Satguru. They moved forward and took

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 17

their seats wherever the space was available.Next invitation was for Dr. Iqbaljit Singh Ji Rai,

President, Sant Nirankari Mandal, America. He said: ‘Kandha Usar Kade Na Sakkan Jekar Neehan Kachhiya Hovan…..(a structure can never be raised if the foundation is weak). He continued to say that these lines were uttered by Baba Avtar Singh Ji. Then came Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji who worked to bring about the required social reforms and promoted Mission’s message in foreign lands. Baba Hardev Singh Ji and Mata Savinder Ji pointed at paying attention to children and urged to bring them along to congregations. That is how the Children’s congregations, youth congregations, English Samagams, Women Samagams started. They

both blessed so much that today the youth are actively promoting the Mission. The young generation particularly needs this guidance the most, and Satguru Mata Ji has already begun endeavors to push the youth at the front. Spirituality

is most powerful and this has been proven by science also. May Satguru bless so that these children take more and more interest in congregations.

Following Dr Rai, it was Rev. Shauqat Ali Dewana (Patiala, Punjab) to render a devotional song together with his party. He is the heir of the family of legendary devotee, viz, Maghar Ali Dewana. He presented, with his party, a chorus in the praise of Satguru, saying: ‘Aake Ho Gae Malomal, Meri Raunaq Tere Naal…..(My Master, with your blessings, we have become wealthy and my radiance is because of you)’.

After this presentation in Punjabi Language, it is the turn of a saint who has been given the award of ‘Light House’. It is none other than Rev. H.S. Kohli Ji (Delhi) who expressed his feelings that the Mission had a long history of 90 years. When he was a child, Baba Buta Singh paid a visit to his village. After showering love, Baba Ji asked for his name and inquired if he would like to know God; and in no time was bestowed with God-Knowledge. Baba Buta Singh Ji had an attractive personality,

having great love for humanity. While singing devotional songs, tears would flow out of his eyes. He was of the view that one must know whom one was praising. My soul awoke touching his feet. Baba Buta Singh Ji then put a garland around Baba Avtar Singh and asked if we knew who he was and, himself replied, ‘This is Avtar Singh and from today onwards, he is going to be your Master. Whoever gives Knowledge is Satguru; therefore, he is your Satguru from today’. That is how, this legendary saint explained the history of the Mission.

Sant Nirankari January 202018

Next to come is a group of young saints from Gurugram (Haryana) to render a verse of Avtar Bani (Punjabi). They were singing: ‘Satguru Honda Jag Da Daata Jo Eh Chaahe Kar Sakda E…..(Satguru is the king of the world and whatever he desires, happens).

Now Shri Sukhdev Singh Ji (Amritsar, Punjab) was invited. He says, ‘Whenever Satguru comes on earth, he bestows the same Knowledge, as received by Lord Krishna as well as Lord Rama. Allah is closer than our jugular vein. When He is so close, then what should be done to attain Him. It is the Satguru who can show Allah direct. I feel proud Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji took me in his shelter. Until this Knowledge is concentrated upon, one cannot achieve the super joy in life.

Satguru did not bother about our qualities or vices, and the invaluable diamond was gifted to us. Let us imbibe it for saints and sages spent years together for it. Let us truly value Satguru through sincere devotion. A devotee without sincerity for Satguru would not be able to sustain the Knowledge, nor can he enjoy true devotion’.

Next one was Rev. Ajay Bejodh Ji & Party from Tarawadi (Haryana), presenting a devotional song in Hindi. They were saying, ‘Hey Mere Mann Ab To Jaag. Kar De Samarpan, Aham Ko Tyag……(My dear mind, get awake now. Surrender yourself and abandon ego….)’.

The congregation for the first day was fast approaching its conclusion. Saints were still moving in big queues. Satguru’s gospel was about to start. Now, Rev. Khemlal Ji (Gurugram, Haryana) started reciting ‘Manglacharan’.

It was a complete silence all over now. Every saint was eager to listen to Satguru Mata Ji’s pious expressions, and Her voice rose

gradually in the atmosphere:

ATTAINING TRUTH, WHILE LIVING, MAKES LIFE SUCCESSFUL

“Sadh Sangat Ji, Say with Love- Dhan Nirankar Ji!Today, the presence of a large number of saints

at this decorated venue on the first day of this Samagam is presenting a graceful look. Although, the Samagam facilities have slightly improved, yet I would express my apologies for any shortcomings, and request you to ignore them and instead give your blessings for making better arrangements next year.

The essence of our Mission is the services rendered by non-professionals. It is the Sangat which make preparations for the convenience of visiting saints - be it levelling and embellishing grounds or making provisions for accommodation for saints coming from far off places, providing toilet facilities, arranging langar (community meals), etc. It is prayed that may Nirankar bless us

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 19

that while on one hand, this spirit of service keeps on increasing among all and, on the other hand, our hearts become broad enough to appreciate the team work and the collective endeavour are made by all in creating such a beautiful scenario. In addition, the visiting saints have done their best to arrange travel by trains, buses or other means, leaving behind their businesses, places of work for the duration of the Samagam. I thank and welcome you all on behalf of the Sangat here. It is the second year only in this ground in Samalkha, although we have earlier been arranging several samagams of the same magnitude in Delhi.

A Samagam signifies meeting of soul and God and, when they meet, a Samagam is created. This meeting of soul and God is possible if we have been blessed with the God-Knowledge. That is how we come to know our real self and are able to truly identify ourselves. We also come to know that retaining God-Knowledge in hearts is possible only by relinquishing ego. That is when we put an end to our 'selfism' and consider ourselves nothing because the body, mind and wealth are due to God’s grace. We must, therefore, properly utilize them. How could ego survive in the absence of body? If there is no body, how could there be ego? We should not consider ourselves as a body. With this belief, let us make each action of ours as a service, regularly attend congregations and constantly do simran. Let our life become like this.

Right from the childhood, or let us say, from the moment we attained the Knowledge till now, a

congregation is happening constantly, a Samagam is continuing. We just heard several times about the Mission’s journey of 90 years. And, we heard about this Truth that Nirankar is there since eras together. He is there when the universe did not exist and will be there even after the end of the universe.

Let us make a confession that we are not simply a body. Let us look at every one as if we are looking in a mirror and seeing our own image in it; without any differentiation or feeling of ill will or inferiority towards others. Our fellow beings may live anywhere, eat anything, belong to any culture; we must treat them like we do to ourselves. Likewise, each human of the world - whether known or unknown - should be treated with same respect. This concept needs to be clear to us that this Nirankar is within us and is equally there in others too. This is the Truth and this is the philosophy of our Mission.

What is this Mission? Sant Nirankari Mission is synonymous with God Knowledge. And the God-Knowledge itself is the Truth which never changes in any circumstances. Truth remains same irrespective of any ups and downs either in our own lives or in the world. Truth remains the Truth always - there is never any change in this.

Attainment of this Truth should be made while living; only then our life is successful because we have lived in the light of this truth. This Knowledge, whether ancient or current, makes no difference. The only thing we need to make sure is that we get it in time - within this life span itself. If the

Sant Nirankari January 202020

time elapses and our life comes to an end, then we would miss the opportunity to identify/realize the Self and God. Therefore, this must happen here and now, face to face, within this life itself.

This Truth sits in us, is around us and everywhere. We have to identify this. Though our eyes are open, yet we have to bring ourselves to a state of awakening . This true sight only can initiate our devotional journey and God-Knowledge is the first step in this direction. Such a state will turn each moment of our life into devotional. Rest of our life would include Him. If it is happening, and each moment is being spent in gratitude, then we not only get closer to God, but we become one with Him.

The worldly pleasures or sorrows can last only till this body exists. However, there is something above this, known as the ‘eternal joy’ or ‘bliss’ that remains ever with us and such a state is the highest in one’s life. The pleasures and sorrows are simply two aspects, but the bliss is complete and above every pleasure on the ground. Although we should live with it in a natural manner, yet take the shelter of Nirankar. Only then can we attain a natural state and lead a humble life.

Not only should we lead a humble and unpretentious life, but also remember that our actions must be natural and not pertain merely to daily ritual or mechanical acts as a matter of simple routine. For example, it is to be seen that while doing simran or rendering service, whether our mind mechanically starts thinking about ‘charnamrit’ (holy water).

There are many other actions which we follow mechanically, viz, offering the first bite to the saint sitting beside us. Such a practice is not meant to be confined only during ‘langar’ only, rather it should be a part of our routine life style. Then we do not bother whether or

not a person sitting beside us belongs to Nirankari Mission or another sect. We should simply convey our point of view; to make it clear that God is in all. When we think and do so, it does not fall within the daily religious or mechanical ritual or routine which we keep on doing without knowing its true value. When we are aware about the true purpose of these actions and form these as part of our nature, then each action of ours is counted as His blessing.

We heard quite a bit about the Mission’s 90-year journey. Let us imagine about situations at that time. How difficult that

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 21

phase would have been; how many problems would have been prevalent then in the absence of facilities that we enjoy now. The traveling would never have been as easy as today. Earlier, travel either by foot or, at the most, by bicycle only was possible. How the promotional work during that time was undertaken?. On the top of it, there were so many social and religious restrictions because of the enmity among too many sects controlling societies; having varied thinking and rituals. In spite of these delicate situations, our legendary devotees showed courage to spread the Truth.

Those true devotees underwent pains and sufferings under the testing circumstances. They were determined to carry the water of God-Knowledge to the doors of each thirsty person to quench their thirst by enlightening their lives in the same way as themselves, i.e., attainment of God-Knowledge.

Talking about Baba Avtar Singh Ji, we know that he had taken this task upon himself. He also blessed us with ‘Sampuran Avtar Bani’ in such a simple language. Going through it is so easy. Its basic elements like human values are important and need to be applied in our day-to-day practices. Each word of this pious book is beautiful and practical even in the present context.

Whereas his ‘Sampuran Avtar Bani’ is a unique gift to the mankind, another bright aspect of his life with his wife is thoroughly explained in another book, viz, ‘Buddhwanti’. I was going through this book and would like to put an except from it before you. A sister came to Mata Buddhwanti Ji and said that her child was slightly indisposed and wished to give the baby the ‘holy water’ from the feet dust of Baba Ji’s feet. In order to convince the sister that it was not necessary to make holy water only from Baba Avtar Singh Ji’s feet dust alone. She could, instead, make it from any of

her family members as all of them were learned saints. It would be equally applicable to anyone blessed with the God-Knowledge. For this, one need not spend that much of time and energy. In addition, Mata Buddhwanti Ji explained a verse from Avtar Bani: ‘A complete Guru has complete disciples (saints). Therefore, I say that instead of approaching me, you can approach a learned saint and consume holy feet dust from any learned saint and all your wishes would be fulfilled’.

So, Baba Avtar Singh Ji never posed himself before others as the Satguru or a superior personage in spite of actually being so. During congregations, he used to impress upon devotees that it was the Sangat which was supreme and great. He shared all his powers with congregations and always emphasized that it was not him or his body which was of importance, the true importance lay in each and every saint attending the sangat. The matter of charnamrit is a simple matter of faith. Therefore, the holy water made from a learned saint or from Satguru fas same result. We are taking such a great teaching from this incident.

I would not like to take more time. I keep my further thoughts for the coming days. You all have come from far off places. If someone could make it only for a single day, his presence for all the days is duly marked. May all those who are watching this congregation through internet and could not mark their physical presence here, be blessed by Nirankar to be able to imbibe those human quality that we learn here. May each word uttered by a saint here bless our lives Also, those who could not get opportunity to speak, may their connections

with Nirankar also get further s t re n gt h e n e d . May this relationship get stronger and stronger and complete.Sadh Sangat Ji, Dhan Nirankar Ji!

Second Day : 17 November 2019 (Sunday)

O n the second day of the 72nd Nirankari Sant Samagam, a Sewadal Rally was arranged. Brother

and sister volunteers of Sewadal showed unprecedented zeal to participate in the rally. Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj, donning Sewadal uniform, entered the Sewadal Rally enclosure. Rev. Chandna Ji, also wearing the sewadal uniform, accompanied Her. Rev. V.D. Nagpal Ji, Member In-charge, Sewadal Department, together with Rev. O.P. Nirankari Ji, Chief Coordinator, Sewadal welcomed the holy couple by offering a bouquet. Satguru Mata Ji started inspecting sewadal units. The faces of all volunteers, hailing from different parts of India and abroad, were glowing with a happy smile. All of them seemed to have a common prayer before Satguru that they were more than willing to follow Her guidance. The palanquin carrying Satguru slowly moved forward amidst the volunteers’ musical band.

Thereafter, Satguru Mata Ji hoisted Sewadal’s flag. The volunteers sought Satguru’s blessings to attain further

heights of devotion and service in their lives. Further, with the permission of Her Holiness, the sewadal rally programme began. After the flag hoisting, sewadal prayer was recited: ‘’Hey Satguru, Hey Bhagwan, Mujh Ko Tere Pe Hai Data Maan. Tu Hi Aan Meri, Tu Hi Shaan Meri, Tu Hi Jeewan Hai Tu Hi Praan (Hey Satguru, Hey God, I take pride in you. You are my anchor, my grandeur, my life and my soul)’.

Following the prayer, Rev. Shubhkaran Ji (Vice Chief Coordinator) conducted the parade. Normally, all the volunteers undergo this parade at regular intervals in order to stay active. Rev. Vicky ji came forward to conduct games. He said that the sewadal uniform donned by volunteers, was worn for the first time by Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, as was now donned by Satguru Mata Ji herself.

Sewadal Rally - 11.00 A.M.

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 23

Now it was time for presentations by various groups of volunteers. The volunteers from Jaipur region opened the function with a presentation titled ‘Service as per Order’. It impressively conveyed the message that even the toilet service had its own importance during Samagam. It was not correct to think that having Satguru’s glimpse was the best service. Baba Hardev Ji had said: ‘A true service is rendered with pleasure, and not under compulsion. If it is so done, all difficult tasks become easy’. The presentation also convinced the audience that the service must never be missed and should be performed as

per the orders of Satguru.Next presentation from volunteers of Mandi Gobindgarh region,

displayed Mission’s 90-year long journey, depicting how the seed of the Mission was initially sowed by Baba Buta Singh Ji and further

nurtured by Baba Avtar Singh Ji. It was then further strengthened by Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji with the spirit of sincerity and

sacrifice. The following era was that of Satguru Baba Hardev

Singh Ji and Mata Savinder Ji who beautified the Mission’s tree by creating an atmosphere of love for humanity and

oneness. Today, Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji is ably steering the Mission forward and all the devotees are enjoying her patronage.

The presentation that followed was based on the theme of ‘surrender’, presented by the group from Nasik region. It explained that man was trapped in the cycle of 84 lakh births and deaths, wandering all over in search of God. As the nature of water is to get mixed in water, and air in air; so is the soul, constantly aspiring to merge with the Super Soul.

Next presentation by volunteers from Rohtas region focused on ‘Human Values’. They conveyed that people of different cultures and castes were getting

united in the holy feet of Satguru, little caring whether someone was ignorant or a learned person, white coloured or black, etc. All the differences ended here. Satguru’s court was a place where different types of flowers were

collectively put in one thread, creating a beautiful bouquet of humanity.

Another presentation, based on ‘Propriety’ was given by the volunteers from Faridabad region , effectively conveying the message that ‘The glasses of Knowledge help maintain human traits like love, humility, tolerance and propriety in life.

The Mumbai region made a presentation on vault. With the help of ropes and pipes, different postures were displayed by children and youth. It was a presentation requiring extreme expertise of physical movement, and was greatly

applauded by audience.Next was the presentation by the children from

Chandigarh branch, conveying impressively the message ‘Keep on Serving’. Irrespective of any conditions of adverse weather - hot or cold, storm or thunder, we will

Sant Nirankari January 202024

Another presentation from Ranchi (Jharkhand) region was based on a sports item to put across an idea

about Knowledge and Action. It needed a careful balancing of the ball while walking.

A Tug-of-War game was arranged under the supervision of Rev. Shubhkaran Ji. The competition between two teams both comprising regional coordinators as well as volunteers became very exciting and interesting.

After the completion of presentations and games, a marching song was recited : ‘Na Hindu,

keep on serving and making Satguru happy. Be it a courtyard or a ground, a street or a railway station, no garbage or debris will be created; the trees will be planted in each village and city, and we will keep on serving.

The group from Ranchi (Jharkhand) presented the next item, viz, ‘The Game of Faith’. It conveyed an inspirational message to strengthen faith - wherever we may be and howsoever we are placed, we must have complete faith in Nirankar.

The presentation that followed was from the region of Aurangabad, conveying the message of ‘togetherness’ i.e we must have a good coordination among ourselves which will help us in imbibing Satguru’s guidance.

The group from Shimla region presented an item with the title ‘Be Cooperative’. Each volunteer had brought along a chair and sat on it. Even after withdrawing chairs below every one, they all maintained the balance. Therefore, a lot could be achieved through cooperation of one another. Even a large number of resources could not achieve desired success in the absence of cooperation. ‘Cooperation and usage are two different factors’ was the message of this presentation.

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 25

Na Sikh, Isai, Na Hum Musalman Hein, Manavta Hai Dharm Hamara, Hum Kewal Insaan Hein. Hum Hein Sewadar (Neither hindus, nor are we sikhs, christians or muslims. Humanity is our only religion and we simply are humans. We are servicemen)’. This marching song was joined by Satguru Mata Ji as a fellow volunteer, arousing service-spirit among all volunteers.

Next turn was to pay obeisance to Satguru. Sewadals formed several units, joining steps with each other, and passed by Satguru Mata Ji, offering their obeisance.

Later, Rev. V.D. Nagpal Ji, Member In-charge, Sewadal, expressed his feelings and addressing Satguru as the Master of the entire universe, begged of Her to bless all volunteers gathered before Her to present a three-hour continuous programme. It was prayed that Satguru Mataji may so bless the volunteers that each breath of every volunteer was utilized in service. Satguru's blessings were sought to keep good health, sincerely performing domestic responsibilities thus, truly displaying Mission’s teachings.

Finally, it was the time for Satguru to shower Her blessings. Addressing all the volunteers, She said that everyone in the enclosure was overwhelmed with the spirit of service. There are many others who are also providing services in various corners situated at far away duty spots from this site and were, thus, deprived of an opportunity of being a part of the rally as possibly screens might also not be available there for them to witness the rally. Still they were doing service in their respective duty areas. We are lucky that we are wearing the sewadal uniform. Same spirit would also be among those who are presently sitting in

the congregation, or in their respective homes.

This uniform on our body signifies that our body is no longer a body under the decorative uniform, as it only

points out at our responsibility. We must maintain the code of propriety attached to this uniform. One must remember that even after putting on the uniform, we must examine ourselves, from time to time - whether the service is being truly rendered as per the guidance of senior officials and whether we are fully conscious about it or merely standing at our respective duty points without bothering about its importance. If there is no such awareness, there would be no benefit accruing from our service as such. Let me express my own feeling. You all render service regularly; even throughout the year. And, I have had no such chance. Today, in this dress - although still without a service,- the feeling of being one amongst you, being so close to you thrilled me within that I am lucky to get this bit of service.

May Lord Nirankar bless all those having worked so hard in preparing and maintaining the grounds to the best of their ability, as also protect them from the slightest feeling of ego, and strengthen their qualities of surrender, humility, humbleness, etc. We must always be conscious of our behaviour when dealing with others, especially when we are performing duty. May each one be aware about one’s allotted service being performed, controlling our actions and words while being in this uniform. It is, thus, the symbol of responsibility. May Lord bless all so that each one of us makes steady progress in strengthening the spirit of service, congregation and simran.

Sadh Sangat Ji, Dhan Nirankar Ji!

Sant Nirankari January 202026

A fter the jubilant completion of the sewadal rally in the forenoon, the next session of the

second day was the main congregation at the same venue, viz, the main congregation enclosure. Rev. Sandeep Chaudhry Ji (Bengaluru) came up to the stage to begin proceedings for the day. He said that the message of Truth had always been given in a firm voice. After 90 years, we have earned an important position which would have otherwise been impossible if the light had timidly given way to darkness. Had it been so, we can well imagine as to where the rays of Truth would have gone. Our tutor of humanity, the crown of our heads is sitting on the main stage - to achieve the goal of universal love and removal of hatred. We look at the divine cloud to burst so that the entire hatred is washed away. The world is dying for an overflowing ocean of love. However, we got so busy in preparing our nests that we forgot the use of our wings. With these opening words, he started inviting learned saints on the stage to share their thoughts and feelings with the audience.

Fiirst of all, Rev. Deepak Anmol Ji (Chandigarh) was invited to recite a verse of ‘Sampuran Avtar Bani’. Following it, Sister Vanita and Sarika Ji (Delhi) came on stage to recite a verse from ‘Sampuran Hardev Bani’. After these recitations, Rev. Pradip Pardesi Ji from Kangra (Himachal Pradesh) came to the stage and rendered a hilly folk song: ‘Satguru

Manai Le, Hoi Jane Sare Dukh Dur. Dasde Ne Satguru Huzur….. (Make Satguru happy and all the sorrows would vanish….).

Next opportunity was given to Rev. Yogesh Bangar Ji Nipani (Karnataka). He said that attaining Knowledge meant attaining God who liberates us from the cycle of birth and death. If a stream of contaminated water was to be purified, it would not be possible by putting perfume in it. The soul, in the same way, could be purified only if it was connected with the Super Soul. There could be no other way to do so.

Prof. Raj Sethi Ji from Amritsar (Punjab) described the presence of a large number of saints as heavenly. He said that the Ganges of love flowing there was because of Satguru’s great efforts. Satguru held our fingers to help us tread the spiritual path beginning from the era of Shahanshah Ji till present, and blessed us all to maintain our connection with Him. He would guard your interests all the times, being the only doer in the universe. It is mentioned in ‘Sampuran Avtar Bani’ - ‘Jis Nu Isda Howe Sahara, Kamm Nahin

Second Day : Congregation - 2.00 p.m.

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 27

who can even make two plus two equal to five; and account of man’s odd doings gets deleted. So is the real form of Satguru. Man goes to God to ask for His mercy for his mistakes. However, God is so meticulous that He would clear his account only after the man had tasted the fruit of his committed actions. His justice is bit too hard as each one must undergo the resultant punishment for any wrong action. The man then approaches Satguru and says that he made a mistake unknowingly and begs for pardon. Softly, Satguru would tell him not to repeat that mistake. Such is the empathy of Satguru.

Satguru is self esteemed, is a total sum of human emotions, benevolent and forgiving. As such, there are many differences between God and Satguru. Therefore, instead of approaching Nirankar in spite of His being so close, attaining God-Knowledge, looking Him in the entire body, such a large numbers of saints have come here to take shelter of Satguru. Life is like a distance between birth and death - also called as ‘Bhavsagara’. The energy to cross it rests with Satguru who tells the devotee that ‘I give you herewith the boat of Knowledge which would enable you to cross the ocean of life. He however cautioned the man not to allow the material world to enter the boat. However, Satguru Mata Ji, I have so far tried to fill this boat with worldly desires and that is why I feel afraid of myself, my life. Please pardon me. There would be many others like me. Please also pardon them because you have the endless power of forgiving’.

Next was a devotional song in Sindhi language. Rev. Ganga & Party from Kolhapur (Maharashtra) sang: ‘Raj Kithe Je Samjhe Satguru Soi….(If you are able to understand Satguru’s secrets….)’.

Rev Arjun Singh Ji from Kolkata (West Bengal), engaged in promoting the Mission’s cause since years together expressed his thoughts, saying that the benevolent Satguru Mata Ji granted an opportunity to take a look at the grand Sadh

Usda Arh Sakda…..(whoever believes in Him being the only saviour, none of his tasks can ever get stuck…)’. All tasks would be fulfilled in a natural manner. After Shahanshah Ji, we took the shelter of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji. Once in Amritsar, he taught us about ‘humility’ and said that when we invite someone for dinner, it is not breads that matter as they contain hardly any taste. The real taste lay in the dishes prepared for the occasion. He compared himself with bread having no taste. The entire taste was because of the Sadh Sangat. We all get decorated because of the saints. Such was his humility that he gave the entire credit to saints.

Now Sister Renu Paramjit Ji & Party from Tracy, America, were invited to the stage. They recited a verse from Avtar Bani: ‘Aklan Sochan Pahunch Na Sakkan, Mehran Di Behaddi Te….. (intelligence or cleverness fail to reach His unlimited benevolences…)’. The verse effectively explained the magnanimity of Satguru.

Rev. H.C. Sirohi Ji, a retired IAS (Delhi), expressed in-depth interpretations about spirituality, and said: ‘With my heartiest respect to all forms of Nirankar, viz, God, Allah, Ishwar or Waheguru, it is submitted that God is Omnipotent and Omnipresent, Unending and Indestructible. Man could make or invent anything except Satguru. God has many qualities. He is justice-loving while man is a figure, full of mistakes. Man requires a solution to gain some relief from His justice. God makes two plus two equal to four. However, Satguru is a personage

Sant Nirankari January 202028

Sangat. Such an opportunity could not be possible without Satguru’s kindness. It had also been stated that those who worshiped Satguru must take a glimpse at Her with their own eyes. He was proud of Satguru who had so kindly got him connected with Nirankar and awarded real joy of life.

The Mission had achieved a landmark by completing 90 years of its journey with 72 intervening Sant Samagams. Shahanshah Ji started the chain of samagams and these went on unhindered. He said that it was possible because Satguru's love and blessings that he was still connected with Satguru’s feet. Shehanshah Ji used to say that having attained the Knowledge, we achieved status of saints. We were, therefore, supposed to be careful in our speech and we must speak thoughtfully. He said that our mothers and sister normally shouted at their children that ‘Go and die’ and ‘destroy yourself’. We must not use this language. Instead, we should say ‘Have Long life’ or ‘May You Improve Yourself’, etc. This way, the anger would pass over and the children’s welfare would also be protected.

Once, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji came to Kolkata. I saw Baba Ji in his room doing simran with folded hands. Rajmata Ji was not there. When I saw Satguru himself doing simran, a question arose in my mind as to what was the need for Satguru to do simran. I thought that it might be with the purpose of blessing for a saint who might be in trouble. I had been struggling with this question for quite a long time. However, the reply came from none other than Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj. She told that once she went to Baba Ji with a glass of water. Baba Ji was busy in simran. I stopped there. Looking at her, Baba Ji said that he was doing simran. The king of the world, Satguru, was concerned about spending even half an hour without simran. Satguru Mata Ji was inspiring all that we must obey Baba Ji fully.

Hailing from Singapore, Rev. S.M. Singh Ji expressed his views that lakhs of people were present in the 72nd Sant Samagam. Besides, thousands of saints were witnessing it through internet. Baba Ji normally insisted on absorbing Nirankar inside. Nirankar’s constant presence in our hearts was most important. To succeed in any field, one must focus fully on that subject. Even cricketers fully focussed on each ball to achieve success. For devotees like us, it was important to constantly feel Lord Nirankar and keep Him in our hearts. There could be no better action than to see Him everywhere all the time.

Next to come in stage was Rev. Lakshman Ram Ji & Party from Barmer (Rajasthan) to render a devotional song in their native Rajasthani language. They sang: ‘Bhavsagar Bram Jal Bhariyo, Lakh Chaurasi Mere Satguru Deen Dayal, Apne Bhagat Par Kirpa Kini…(Let me fill my pot with the water of Knowledge from this ocean of world. My Satguru has been so kind that he has liberated me from the cycle of birth and death).

Sister Rajwant Kaur Ji from Simla (Himachal Pradesh) came to the stage to express her feelings. Thanking Satguru, she said that Satguru bestowed her with the divine knowledge for which gratitude from herself and her next generations would not suffice. Words cannot express the favour done to us by Shahanshah Ji by connecting with Nirankar. She said that this Knowledge could well be matched with that contained in scriptures like Gita, Bible, Quran Sharif or Shri Guru Granth Sahib. If found correct, then stick to it with complete faith. Thereafter, there is no

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 29

need for repeating mistakes nor to be jealous or critical of any one.

During the era of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji, he told us that we must do service even to the children. Never to bow before ignorance.

These teachings stayed in mind. Rajmata Ji provided awareness by visiting each home in each city and village. She used to say that she would neither sleep nor let sleep until this ignorance in the world ends. Lord Krishna said that when one takes a birth as a human being after completion of 84 lakh births of different forms, he is so conscious that he can sense my form and get liberated. He further said that like a huge quantity of wood can be burnt simply by one spark of fire, all the sins of those humans, coming to my shelter, can similarly be burnt with a single spark of Knowledge. A washer man never bothers about the dirt while cleaning the clothes. In the same way, Satguru never bothers about anyone’s sins. Demons like Ajamil or Kaura cleaned their pots for a long time and today their names figure in the list of saints. Please bless us so that we take proper care of Satguru’s words.

After these valuable thoughts, it was the turn of Rev. Kanhaiya Lal Ji & Party from Arariya (Bihar) rendering a devotional song in Bhojpuri Language: ‘Satguru Mata Ji Kar Da Sare Jagwa Ke Uddhar….(Hey Satguru Mata Ji, please salvage the entire world…)’.

Next saint was Kanhaiya Lal Ji from Aurangabad (Maharashtra) who shared his thoughts with Sadh Sangat. He said: ‘A bouquet is decorated with various qualities of flowers. Same way, our Mission

had been like a bouquet filled with love from different villages, towns, cities of the country and abroad, thus forming a bouquet with different flavours. The

Mission has been promoting the message of truth and love for the last 90 years.

With the kindness of Baba Avtar Singh Ji, the Mission began in India. He taught us the way to tread the life with patience. He used to say: ‘You must draw a bigger line without reducing anyone else’s. We have been shown true way of life - to sit with learned saints and get connected to devotion. Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji also told us ‘Humanity is our real religion, and we are just humans’. Baba Hardev Singh Ji further promoted this great cause for another 36 long years, and also impressed upon us to be practical instead of being vocal and we will have to be patient and tolerant for this purpose. The saints and sages have always advised us about love as It is love that alone decorates the human garden while the hatred destroys it.

The disciple also follows Satguru’s words with the spirit of a true devotee. Satguru is always benevolent and therefore, following his guidance in true sense is the right devotion. In Her first discourse, Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji had said, ‘Let us vow that we will jointly march forward and spread the atmosphere of love and unity all over. The actual success would be when our neighbour requests us to take him along to the congregation ‘where the God-Knowledge is bestowed’. Today, under the benign guidance of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji, let us imbibe all Her words which come to us as Her guidance and advices.

A praiseworthy contribution to promote human qualities in children is made by Nirankari schools. The next opportunity was given to the children of

Sant Nirankari January 202030

the Sant Nirankari Public School, Faridabad who rendered a song, viz: ‘Guru Hai Ek Sahara. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Isai, Sabka Paalanhara……(Guru is a support to all, he raises everyone, be it Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Christian….)’.

The stage was then offered to Rev. Vivek Mauji Ji for conducting further proceedings. Referring to Mission’s 90 years long journey, he invited Rev. H.S. Chawla Ji from Ludhiana (Punjab). Shri Chawla Ji said that saints in such a large number had gathered from far and near to enjoy congregation as well as to seek blessings of Satguru. It was the Mission and our Satguru who promoted it keeping in mind the varying situations in the world in different periods and time. Those who preferred their own wisdom, deprived themselves of the benevolence of Satguru.

Baba Hardev Singh Ji used to say that we must pray before God not to grant that kingdom where we see nothing but ourselves. We also study the verses of St. Kabir who was not an educated person, but his writings are still the subject of research even today. We are, therefore, extremely lucky being so close to Satguru. We must base our life on Lord Nirankar, the creator of the entire universe, as Satguru is telling us again and again. We used to hear Baba Ji’s words that instead of living for ourselves, we must live for the welfare of the world. Everyone enjoyed uttering the name of God. However, when advised to make a move further to know Him, somehow no one appeared to buy it as if a brake was applied to a moving vehicle. An apparent reason for this mind set was man’s ego. So shall we reap as we sow.

Let us pray in Satguru’s feet so that our tomorrow is saved, if not today. O’ Satguru Mata Ji, It is your kindness that we are in such a blissful

state; please bless us to be complete in your feet.Hailing from Mumbai (Maharashtra), Rev.

Dutta Patil & Party presented a musical item called Abhang. ‘Akaree Naahi Te, Nirakar Paahe; Nirankar Naahi Shoonya, Shoonya….(Lord Nirakar has no shape…)’. This presentation created a passionate spiritual spirit among all.The next invitee was Sister Raj Vasdev Singh Ji (Delhi). Mentioning about Mission’s past 90 years, she said that today we were enjoying the fruits having hundreds of seeds in each fruit. There were different fruits on the tree. The thoughts turned to the past when a gardener planted this tree; nurtured it with his blood, and guarded it making various sacrifices. In 1920, Baba Buta Singh Ji took upon himself to create a revolution in human lives through this Mission. Let me take you 90 years back and imagine a situation when there existed only ignorance. Man wandered aimlessly here and there. However, whosoever met Baba Buta Singh Ji, got the God-Knowledge. All those who could not respond to Baba Ji’s queries, were granted God-Knowledge. Baba Buta Singh Ji told that the soul of any caste, religion, community or language belonged to Nirankar, and each person can become a saint.

This became Mission’s identification.Thereafter, Rev. Parmeshwari Ji from Chennai

(Tamil Nadu) rendered a devotional song in Tamil language which was listened to by all with rapt attention. She sang: ‘Vande Nirankara…. (Ik Tu Hi Nirankar…)’.

Now it was time for a mini Poets Symposium that always enjoyed special attention since the start of Annual Sant Samagams. Each year, a team of poets present their poems with deep spiritual values and enjoy Satguru’s blessings. Today, some of the legendary poets of yester years were represented by their children and grand children who recited the poems in their typical styles.

The poets symposium started with Rev. Harjit Singh Kamal ‘Bittu’, son of legendary poet Joginder Singh ‘Kamal’Ji. He recited an original poem of his father: ‘Adiyaon Ni Jodhiyon Ni mainu vekho Ni mainu Ki Ho Gaya E…(O my friends, look at me, what is happening to me…)’.

Sister Navroop ‘Rajkavi’ Ji from Amritsar (Punjab) recited a poem of an old-time poet, viz, Rajkavi’Ji: ‘Shahanshah Hardev Satguru Dhanya Dhanya. Mein Teri Sharan, Main Teri Sharan….( My Lord, My Master, Satguru Hardev Ji, I surrender myself in your feet….)’.

Then came Rev. Surjit ‘Mehram’ Ji who recited a poem by Late Rev. Gyan Singh ‘Mehram’Ji: ‘Har Passe Tera Noor, Tere Lai Ne Sab Nere Nere, Mere Lai sub door….(Your light is all over. Everyone is close to you.. For me all are away)’. Raju ‘Almast’ Ji from Innsbruck (Austria) came next and recited an original poem by Hardev Singh ‘Almast’ Ji: ‘Je Dig Pae, Je Tut Gae, Eh

Bagh Hi Nahin Rahange….(If we fall or break, then these gardens won’t exist for long….)’.

Shri Balraj ‘Maan’ Ji from Birmingham (U.K.), the son of Mission’s Master Poet (Rev. Late Maan Singh Ji ‘Maan’) recited a poem of Maan Senior: ‘Jida Satguru Di Rahmat Te Poora Vishwas Hunda E. Nahin Rukda Koi Kam Usda, Har Kamm Raas Hunda E….(One having complete faith in Satguru is certain about successful accomplishment of all his tasks…)’.

Rev. Surinder Pal Channi ‘Kamla’ Ji came to stage to recite a poem originally written by his father, Rev. B.S. Kamla Ji: ‘Mein Kamla Te Nahi Ban Sakda Sachhe Paatshah, Kamla Ji Vargi Taufeeq Bakhsh De….(I can’t become like ‘Kamla’, but bless me devotion like him….)’.

With this, the interesting segment of Poets Symposium came to end It was followed by a speech from Rev. Hemraj Sharma Ji from Mussoorie (Uttarakhand).

He said: ‘Satguru' was a source of joy. He constantly bestows this Knowledge of Almighty God to the mankind. Not a matter of recent time, it has been in vogue since eras. Satguru had been having only one goal in life, I.e., to connect mankind with the Super Lord. In the ‘Rigveda’, it is mentioned that God is worth seeing. But How? It explains further that if someone wished to attain God-Knowledge, Satguru has been the only source. The entire mankind was indebted to Satguru since unlimited period for granting ‘God-Knowledge’.

Sister Pooja Ji & Party, hailing from Bahrain, had an opportunity to recite a verse from ‘Sampuran Hardev Bani’. They sang: ‘Satguru Ke Vishwas Ki Jyoti Jali Hui Hai Jis Mann Mein….(Whosoever has the illumined torch of faith in Satguru….)’.

Vivek Katria Ji from Melbourne (Australia) come up on the stage and shared his feelings with saints: ‘While doing simran, we feel peace.

Simran breaks all the walls built by mind. Baba Ji once told in his discourse that a deserted place start getting visited regularly by people; for instance, if a temple structure is built and a decorated God’s image is fixed; that place then starts looking attractive to all. Similarly, if Satguru’s image is fixed in the heart, it becomes a temple. This Mission has

not limited it to any particular caste, sect, state or country. Satguru belongs to all and all belong to Satguru.

The Knowledge bestowed by him pulls us away from darkness and puts us in an illumined state.

Sister Amrit Kaur Ji from Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) belonged to the family of Rev. Jogdhyan Singh Ji, the first disciple of Baba Buta Singh Ji. She told that Looking at such a huge Samagam, requiring equally huge arrangements, she said, "Who that angel was who developed it so beautifully that His entire kingdom has come to see him?’.

We know that this Mission made a beginning in Peshawar’. She further said that she was a part of the family of the saint who was just referred to as being the first saint to have been blessed with God-Knowledge by Baba Buta Singh Ji. Once Baba Buta Singh Ji stopped by the shop of Rev.

Jogdhyan Singh Ji. My father invited Him inside. In response, Baba Buta Singh Ji put a question whether Jogdhyan Singh Ji had a place for Him? He did talk to him not about his shop, but for his heart. My father replied that he was welcome at both the places, viz., the shop as well as the heart. Baba Buta Singh Ji entered the shop and inquired whether he worshiped God and, if so, where? My father replied that he often visited Gurudwara. Then Baba Ji asked, "Have you attained the invaluable thing about which you study in Guru Granth Sahib? Do know that’? ". My father murmured as to who could tell. When the knowledge was bestowed upon, my father’s head was kneeling down. At that time, there were no ‘five promises ’, nor were references about ‘nine gates’. Baba Buta Singh Ji pointed at him and said: ’This is the God

sitting in every particle’. My father bowed down and surrendered.

Now, it was the turn of a well known Punjabi singer viz, Rev. Lakhvinder Badali Ji & Party. After sharing his experiences he had with Baba Hardev Singh Ji, a chorus song was rendered beautifully: ‘Sahib Teri Bandi Han Mein, Mandi Han Ya Changi Han… (My Lord, I am humbly yours - whether good or poor…)’.

The stage was then handed over to Rev. Sukhbir Shah Ji of Toronto (Canada). Expressing himself, he said that we were sitting since yesterday in the same backdrop. There were innumerable obeisance before Satguru. For a disciple, Satguru’ feet were like pilgrimage. Humanity was being generated at the site.

There was a big change in the minds of ignorant people visiting here. Devotees attained enormous joy. Satguru’s glimpse took away all the griefs of mind. The world was looking at the joy being attained here. Those coming in Satguru’s feet learnt the art of living. The benevolence of Satguru was showered upon mankind all over the world.

In the African C o n t i n e n t also, this message of truth had g r a d u a l l y e x p a n d e d . Coming from this area was Sister Ekta Singh Ji Sham from Lagos (Nigeria) who p r e s e n t e d a Punjabi

devotional song: ‘Aao Loko, Dassan Pataa Pure Guru Hardev Da….. (Come dears, let me tell you the address of Guru Hardev Ji…)’.

The Samagam on the second was nearing its culmination. The congregation enclosure was jam packed with saints. Hearts were full of high regards and eyes full with tears of love and devotion. The Holy Sisters, viz, Samta Ji and Renuka Ji came up to the stage and their melodious voice rose in the air: ‘Maitho Vadh Ehnu Hai Pataa Meri Mushkil Da…..(He knows my problems more than I….)’. The song having immense compassion of Satguru for his saints, touched every one’s heart.

The time for Satguru’s discourse was nearing very close. It was a pious atmosphere of peace and joy. Rev. Mohan Chhabra Ji from Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) started Manglacharan…’Hai Samrath Parmatma, Hai Nirgun Nirankar….’.

The mike was brought before Satguru Mata Ji. The serene voice of Satguru Mata Ji rose in the atmosphere:

Man Must Live Like A ManSadh Sangat Ji, It is the second day of the

Samagam. It was pleasure witnessing the Sewadal Rally in the morning. It had the effects of skits as also the game of Malkham based on the power of muscles and resilience. This shows how

the volunteers were aware about fitness, both physical and mental while performing services, and shouldering, at the same time, their domestic responsibilities.

While we should be watchful about the dirt in our mind, we must keep ourselves fit physically and mentally. We saw all these feelings being expressed by the sewadal volunteers, clad in their uniform. These feelings have been in our Mission for a long long time. This uniform is not merely a dress, but is a symbol of our being devotees - whether as volunteers in the uniform, or as Sadh Sangat in normal dress. The spirit of service must persist in our minds all the time. May Nirankar bless all to keep on strengthening this spirit.

Also, we have been constantly listening about the 90 year long journey of the Mission since yesterday. I took an opportunity yesterday to share with you how Baba Buta Singh Ji, Baba Avtar Singh Ji and Jagatmata Ji made constant contributions. Extending the same chain further, I would like to mention that Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and Rajmata Ji worked hard together to ensure progress of the Mission in spite of the struggling period they underwent, e.g.,. overseas travels with meagre resources and little preparations. But still in those circumstances also, they stood united and made best use of the time and resources. Without having any regrets, they focused on how to promote the Mission - not only in our own country, but abroad too. The sister saints were encouraged for simple marriages making a positive impact on the society. They contributed in various other welfare and social activities. The Sangat also needs to learn all these traits.

We have progressed well in terms of number of devotees and God knows how many more souls are going to join us. It is therefore our duty to make a choice because we may look like humans, but are, in fact, constituents of God. Therefore, our

Sant Nirankari January 202034

qualities must be similar to Him.

We all look and see like physical bodies and work as such and at times get tired also. In the process, we tend to forget concentrating on our soul. Whereas the soul is to be beautified, its identification upfront is essential. Through God-Knowledge, we learn to appreciate our life and also ensure to brighten it. From the social point of view, we all look alike as humans, just as there are too many sticks in a match box. What tasks can we perform with sticks in a match box? All look similar, but what task should they be doing - either illumine a lamp or set someone’s house on fire. So, the entire difference lies in the usage of the match box. Same way, we have to keep ourselves connected with human qualities without a contrarian thought for anyone, viz, not to distinguish between humans on the basis of high-low, caste-creed, etc. All of us have been created by this God. We should give same amount of respect to others. The same applies in the case of rendering service. Whether we look at others keeping in mind their designations, or do we go by the spirit of service. Whatever position in society we hold is a different point. Our feelings must purely be focused on rendering service selflessly. About designation, a poet has written: ‘Gali Mein Makaan Thei, Makaanon Pe Naam Thei. Naam Ke Saath Ohde Thei, Bahut Dekha Koi Insan Na Mila (there were houses in streets, each with a plate showing names and positions. I made an intense search, but, Alas! I could not find a human’.

We must be alert that the same might not happen with us that we run after attaining high positions and worldly materials . Instead, we should be receiving whatever is given, and accepting whosoever we are, with humility and gratitude to Almighty. Otherwise, we have no reason to claim anything, or do anything appreciable and earn an honour.

Whatever qualities we have are simply the gifts of Lord Nirankar. We must spend our energy for using them optimally, and restrain ourselves from harming others - like the sticks of match box used for burning houses.

We must remember that we have come to the world as human beings.

Therefore, we have to be human beings in true sense. The feelings of our mind should be purely humanitarian. We should not be subjected to devilish influences. The good things which we have shared here in congregation must be

imbibed by us; not only that, as far as possible, other souls should be encouraged to attain this light of Knowledge. Not necessarily through words only, but through practical inspiration. We should speak also where necessary, but main inspiration should be through our sweet behaviour and language. Not hurting anyone, rather simply wiping out others’ tears, making others’ lives as comfortable as possible and, above all, conveying to all the divine bliss which we have so fortunately got.

It is now time to leave. However, there are so many saints, still walking in queues. It may take another hour or so. Therefore, I must also take your glimpses and feel happy like you, as you have been waiting for several hours. You come from far off places. In addition, there are various family responsibilities. Still you come, giving preference to Samagam. May Lord bless that you may all get physical, mental, and monetary comforts. In fact, our life becomes as much happy as remembrance of God in our heart. For the rest of the time which is spent without His remembrance, it is improper to say that we are living a life; rather it should be said that we are simply living to breathe.

May Lord bless us all to lead a truly saintly life.Sadh Sangat Ji, Dhan Nirankar Ji!

(GS) Cheema Ji, Sister Pirmal Pinno, Shri Vivek Mauji Ji, Rev. Raj Kumari ‘Mami Ji’ and Shri Rakesh Mutreja Ji were present. An announcement to the effect of extending the tenure of all In-charges by three years was made and an appeal was made that modesty, discipline, dutifulness and morality must be adhered to, lest the Head Office should take any unpleasant and stern decisions.

Satguru Mata Ji blessed everybody for spreading the message of Truth and Modestly with ‘Gurmat’. She also impressed upon everybody to respect each other and impact the people with positivity by their conduct and behaviour so that people approach the Mission, impressed by the demeanour of missionaries. Members of ‘Sewadal’ were motivated to serve pleasingly. All the departments were asked to coordinate and contribute towards the quick progress of Mission’s projects. Also, we need to visualize ‘Nirankar’ in one and all by constantly being in the awareness of ‘Nirankar’. We also need to be amicable to all. It marked the completion of the General Body Meeting.

Now, it was time for ‘Satsang’ after the completion of the General Body Meeting.

The blissful days of ‘Samagam’ got over in no time. The second day of 72nd ‘Samagam’ got over fleetingly. On the last day of ‘Samagam’, the General Body Meeting was scheduled at 10 AM. This time, along with members of Central Planning and Advisory Board, Executive Committee, Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, Central Sewadal Officials, Zonal In-charges, Kshetriya Sanchalaks and Sanyojaks, Mukhis, Sanchalaks, Gyan Pracharaks and coordinators were also invited for the General Body Meeting. General Body Meeting: 10.00AM

Day 3: November 18, 2019

Our conduct and behaviour should impact others

Satsang- 2.00 PMIt was the last day of ‘Samagam’. Just after

the General Body Meeting, the congregation area was set for the ‘Satsang’. Rev. Preeti Sahi Ji came to conduct the ‘Satsang’. She said that the Mission had spread vastly in every nook and corner of the world in a time span of 90 years. All the devotees were grateful to ‘Satguru’ for Her kindness for having chosen them. A current of love and God Knowledge was flowing. She further added that it was God Knowledge which perceives God in oneself and perceiving it in others was love.

The stage secretary invited Lovepreet Ji of Phagwara (Punjab) who beautifully recited a verse from ‘Sampooran Avtar Bani’: ‘Tuhi Tuhi Nirankar Kari Ja Geet Es Thei Gai Ja….(Keep Remembering God and recitge Tu Hi, Tu Hi…..)’.

After this Sister Arpita & Party (Delhi) were invited. They recited another verse from ‘Sampooran Hardev vani’ melodiously: ‘Dhara Pyar Se, Gagan Pyar Se, Pyar Se Kul Sansaar Hai….(The earth and sky have emerged from love; so much so the entire world is nothing but love….)’.

Saints and sages have been giving the message of Truth to eliminate the darkness of ignorance from time immemorial. Rev. Kripal Yashpal & Party drew attention towards this fact through a composition in Punjabi: ‘Mission ‘De Sandesh Nu Ghar Ghar Pahunchana E…. (Mission’s message is to be delivered at each home….)’.

There is only one God from the beginning of the universe. For different people it is not different; but people consider it so due to ignorance and this causes discord. It was

followed by Rev. Gulshan Ahuja Ji of Kapurthala (Punjab) who gave the message of Truth in Punjabi language.

Every language has its own peculiarity, attraction and impact. After Punjabi, Rev. Kamal Vimal Ji of Gharsana (Rajasthan) got a turn. They gave the message of Truth of the Mission through a pleasing song. The universal tenet of the Mission impresses and attracts people of all languages equally. The great saying of the Mission ‘Religion unites never divides’ was vibrant in ‘Sant Samagam’. The stage secretary invited Rev. Hasirul Mirza Ji of Vardhman (W. Bengal). In Bangla language, he expressed about the positive changes brought about by the light of God Knowledge in his life and prayed for the same for his family and the entire humanity.

Sister Ritika Ji of Mantova (Italy) got an opportunity to express herself. Irrespective of language or expression, the message of Truth has remained the same. Everybody expressed himself/herself in the form of love, oneness, harmony and world without walls.

Sanjay Devadeega & Party of Mangalore presented a devotional song in Kannada:

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 37

'Urukali jeevan ninn dhyandalli…(Let each breathe of mine remember You….)’.

After this, Prof. (Dr.) Kennith of Leicester (UK) expressed himself in English and said that all the problems of humans could be solved by unanimity among them. The Mission is bringing humans closer and bringing about unity among them.

It was followed by Sister Shweta Ji & Party of Suryapet (Telangana) who presented a devotional song. They sang in a melodious voice: 'Anno ‘Sundra Manva Janam, E Janmaa Laanei Maanbulanta Pondalanta E Brahmjhaan Ho Ho….'.

Rev. Ishwar Chugani Ji of Yakohma (Japan) came on the dias. Expressing his feelings he said, ‘The soul of a living person can feel the bliss. What is the abode of soul? Is it the heart or elsewhere? In reality, it dwells in the entire body. The joy of bliss is enormous. This can only be achieved through God knowledge. ‘Sewa’, ‘Simran’, ‘Satsang’ are to be embraced with happiness.

After this, Rev. Radhey Shyam Ji of Sheopur (MP) discussed the importance of piety on the basis of ‘Ramcharit Manas’. ‘Brahm Veta Guru’

is most relevant as compared to ‘Soochak Guru’, ‘Vachak Guru’ or ‘Bodhak Guru’. He is enlightened and has the merit of imparting God knowledge to the seeker. Further, ‘Guru Shankar Rupinam’ means Guru is God. Guru and God are one.

More than three thousand devotees from Nepal joined the 72nd ‘Sant Samagam’. Rev. Anil & Party of Kathmandu (Nepal) came to present a song in Nepali, the local language of Nepal. Everybody enjoyed the song. The essence of the song was that piety alone can lead to bliss.

It was now the turn of Rev. Bhupender Bhai of Dahod (Guajrat). Expressing his views in Gujarati, he said that one could see the spirit of love all around. In all the eras, the prophets advised that one could receive God Knowledge only from contemporary Satguru. With changing times, man shifted from huts to mansions and accomplished high studies but piety remained the same as in all the eras. A realized person has no selfish motive behind piety. The bestower of God Knowledge, Prophet of the day had arrived. It was perfect time to surrender oneself to Her and bring meaning to life.

Rev. Chanveer Singh Ji, serving President of

Sant Nirankari January 202038

Sant Nirankari Mission in Australia, said he was a little child when he was brought to the holy feet of Baba Buta Singh JI. He named him Chanveer and till date he was enjoying the holy feet of ‘Satguru’. Shahanshah Ji guided them to carry on with ‘Sewa’, Simran and Satsang, and abide by the guidelines of ‘Satguru’ without any ifs and buts after God realization.

This beautiful and enchanting chain of songs and speeches was followed by multilingual Poets Symposium.

Poets Symposium‘Mission Pyar Ka Yugon Yugon Se

Brahm Ke Saath Milaata Aaya’Poets Symposium is an important part of

the Annual Sant Samagam. During three days of ‘Sant Samagam’, the poet devotees felt blessed by presenting their insight artfully in front of ‘Satguru’ and also delighted huge family of Sadh Satsang. Poetry connects man with the world at emotional level. Poetry cheers up the emotions and fills life with fresh energy. This year, the theme of the poets symposium ‘Misssion Pyar ka yugon Yugon sei Brahm kei saath milaata ayaa’ was about the services rendered by the Mission for the sake of humanity.

The poet devotees highlighted the changes that happened in the Mission in a span of 90 years starting from 1929. They elaborated that the basis of God Knowledge did not change with the change of eras. It was the same as before.

The veteran poet Sulekh Sathi Ji conducted poets symposium on the third day of ‘Samagam’. The poets paid their respectful tributes to poet devotees S.S. Parwana (Denmark) and Om Prakash Omi (Delhi) who left for their heavenly abode this year. The first poet to be invited for recitation of poetry was Sh. Shambhu Mastaana.

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 39

It was now the turn of Haryanvi poems. Rev. Anil Bamnia Ji of Sonipat said: ‘Kitanein barsaan ka hou chahei, Ar kitraan chahei hou ghanrghour ….(How so old it may be or how so deep, the illumined Satguru, like a torch, has always removed entire darkness in a moment…)’.

Dr. JItender Haryanvi from Jajjhar came to recite his poem: ‘Pisaa Dhela Kuch Na Laagei Yo Te Free Mein Darsh Kara Rahya se…..(Without charging, he (Satguru) is showing God for free….)’.

Continuing this stream of thoughts, it was the turn of Rev. Praduman Bhalla Ji from Kaithal, who said: ‘Nafrat ‘Ninda ke Kaante Chunta….(He removes the thrones of hatred and criticism….)’.

Madan Sheikhpuri Ji of Yamuna Nagar (Haryana) mentioned the enthusiasts of ‘Satguru’ in this manner: ‘Nek Karam Se Gursikh Apne Guru Ko Sada Rijhata Aya….(The disciple always wins the heart of his Guru….)’.

Rajesh Arora Ji’s (from Fatehabad, Haryana) poem aptly elaborated the Mission’s tireless efforts to connect the humanity stuck in the shackles of delusions with God: ‘Yug Aur

Sadiyan Badli Beshak Mission Ka Par Aadhar Na Badla….(The eras and centuries changed, no doubt; the base of the Mission, however, never changed….)’.

Now, Sulekh Sathi Ji invited Raju Multani Ji to recite his poem in Multani language: ‘Bichhre Koon Milainda Aya, Ujre Koon Vaseinda Aya…. (The departed ones were met, and the ruined ones were rehabilitated….)’.

Sanjay Lehri Ji of Dhuri (Punjab) presented beautifully the message of truth, love and public awareness through his Punjabi poem: ‘Ehra Rutba Baksh Ke Satguru, Gursikh da Hai Maan Vadhaya….(Satguru elevates devotees by conferring him with the award of Gursikh ….)’.

It was the turn of Rev. Awjinder Romi Ji from Montreal (Canada). He beautifully described

Sant Nirankari January 202040

Maine Kai Baar Gota Lagaya …. (I dived many times in the deep ocean of thoughts ….)’. Sister Kusum Ji of Indirapuram (UP) narrated the memories of 90 years of the Mission in this manner: 'Dharti ‘Ke Is Gulshan Mein Khar Bhi Hein To Gulbahar Bhi Hein Na….(In the garden of the earth, there are both thrones and flowers….)’ .

The idea behind the poem of Navpreet Channi Ji, Toronto (Canada) was: ‘Murshad Ke Deedar Mein Dekho Kitni Taakat Hoti Hai….(Look, what a power is behind the glimpse of Satguru….)’.

Bhashi Multani presented his poetry in Multani, Punjabi and Hindi. He conveyed his feelings through his poem: ‘Hik Bagth Wich Hi Rahnda, Koyal Hai Ya Kaan ….(Both Cuckoo and crow live in one garden ….)'.

Coming next, was Rev. Surjit Singh Nasheia Ji with his poem: ‘Eh Ki Karda Ki Kar Sakdai, Karke Aap Dikhana Chahundei….(What does he do, or can do, shows all by doing himself….)’. Upon completing his poem, Nashila Ji requested the stage secretary, viz, Shri Sulekh Sathi Ji to present his poem.

Rev. Sulekh Sathi Ji read his poem: ‘Sooraj Tapash Hi Denda Aaya, Chann Thandak Bartanda Aaya….(Sun sends heat while the moon sends cool….)’.

his joy on God realization through ‘Satguru’s’ benevolence: ‘Padhan Sunan Te Yog Sadhna Rooh Da E Kalyan Nahin Karde….(Reading, listening and yoga do not help much….).

Rev. Sultan Singh of An Arbour (America) sketched beautifully the profoundness in spirituality and Satguru’s benevolence in his poem: ‘Oh Kahende Ne Yug Shahanshah Da Pyar Preet Da Si Bhandara….(They say that the era of Shahanshah Ji had love and regards in abundance….)’.

After poems in Punjabi, Hindi, Multani, etc., Rev. Ashish Bhutani Ji of Gurugram (Haryana) recited his poem in English: ‘Era To Era Mission Of Love Has United with the Formless…’. The idea as to how humanity benefitted through God Knowledge was aptly highlighted in his composition.

Rev. Deen Dayal ‘Uday’ Ji of Ghaziabad (U.P.) expressed his ideas: ‘Is Dunia Ke Har Masle Par, Brahmgyan Se Hul Dene Ka….(All the problems of the world have been solved through God-Knowledge….)’.

The poets had harmoniously matched thoughts with words. The next poet was well known in the Nirankari family, viz, Rev. Radhey Shyam Satyarthi Ji (Mumbai) who narrated the depth of his thoughts in this manner: ‘Vicharon Ki Gehraion Mein

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 41

The audiences were deeply connected with spiritual saga of poet devotees. The last poem was recited by Bachiter Paras Ji of Giddarbaha (Punjab): ‘Jikar Naal Hai Rehmat Mildi , Fikar Naal Kamjori Aandi….(Citing him makes one healthy while worry brings in weakness….)’.

This marked the completion of poetry presentations. The stage was transferred to Rev. Roshan Dehalvi Ji to conduct further proceedings of the day. First o all he invited Rev. Jagat Geetkar Ji and his party (Delhi). The lyrics were: ‘Mission Mere ‘Satguru’ Ka Phela Hai Pheilega (The Mission of Satguru has been expanding, will expand still….)’.

Expressing his views, Rev. Khemraj Chadha Ji, Chairman, Central Planning and Advisory Board, said that since July 17, 2018, when ‘Satguru’ Mata Sudiksha Ji took over the reins of the Mission, it has expanded beyond imagination. Since then, the Mission has started expanding far and wide. The progress of last 16 months was far beyond last 16 years. The use of mobile was barred but mobility was increased alongside instilling discipline and punctuality in ‘Satsang’. Guru is not concerned with speech; Her holy glimpse is enough to bless. Satguru Mata Ji has infused new enthusiasm in the Nirankari Youth Forum and there is no place in the world where it is not set up. An earlier vision is becoming a

reality. Bhodwal Majri Railway Station, where many trains stopped during Samagam, has been included in the master plan of the ‘Samagam’ Ground. While the newspapers were filled with reports of pollution,

a spell of rainfall this side had proved beneficial and has reduced its negative effect. The governments of Haryana and Punjab as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Panipat and Sonipat were heartily thanked. The Haryana Chief Minister arrived and asked if he could in any way contribute to the cause of Samagam. Everyone especially the Railways Department were thanked for their contributions in tackling many issues.

It was followed by an informative and interesting documentary showcasing enchanting visuals prepared by Nirankari Studio, based on 90 years journey of the Mission, beginning from Baba Buta Singh Ji till date.

After this, the Vice President of Sant Nirankari Mission, Sh. V.D Nagpal Ji came to the stage. He said that one cannot return the favours done by ‘Satguru’. That was the last segment of the 72nd and second Sant Nirankari Samagam held at Mission’s own ground. He said that Her Holiness Satguru had given us numerous opportunities to serve as ‘Sewadal’ volunteers in this Samagam. He thanked lakhs of devotees who had come from India and abroad to showcase the teachings of Her Holiness. He said the fruits of rendering selfless service, as advocated by our legendary saints of our Mission, were beyond comprehension. The day before, on the occasion of Sewadal Rally, Her Holiness gave divine blessings in the uniform of sewadal which was extremely encouraging. Being the creator, no attire can match the divine mother.

Sant Nirankari January 202042

Rev. Nagpal Ji then asked for the blessings of Her Holiness while asking for forgiveness for any mistakes during rendering of ‘Sewa’ and that such mistakes are not repeated in future. He emphasized that the saints had imbibed the spirit of service to the core, did not pay heed to the weather and were reflecting what is being taught here, be it the children, the elderly or those in planning and supervision.

Another captivating programme, based on old Nirankari devotional songs, 'A bouquet of

spiritual songs' was presented. The attire of singing artists and the selection of songs belonged to that era.

There were a composition during Baba Buta sigh Ji’s time, e.g., ‘Mero Ram, Mero Ram, Ang Sang Hai Mero Ram ….’. This was followed by a few compositions during Baba Avtar Singh Ji’s time like ‘Logo Hum Hein Nirankari Naam Ke Hain Vyapari’, etc. Also, a number of compositions

were prevalent during Baba Gurbachan Singh JI’s time like: ‘Baba Ji Te Shahanshah Da …Mein Vari Jaawan’, Mera Mahi Mere Naal Raat Diwali Di…., Noori Jalaal Vale, Nazran Milavanda Ja…’, and many more. Similarly, during the time of Baba Hardev Singh Ji, numerous compositions were prepared, e.g., Gurudev Mere, Gurudev Mere…’, Din Dayal Dena Sahara…, Prabhu Chain Ki Bajaa Do Bansi Re….’, etc., etc. Several other compositions were made during Satguru Mata

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 43

Savinder Ji and now also during Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji’s time.

It was almost the last phase of the congregation and revered Ramit Chandna Ji came to the stage to express his feelings. He said for the last three days, saints had been presenting the Mission’s history of 90 years through songs and speeches. We also tasted the flavours of all the eras. We talk about the eternal truths in this pious court. The real meaning of love is known after realizing this Truth. There would have been various wonderful scenes in the past. One such historical moment was witnessed yesterday when Her Holiness wearing the dress of Sewadal appeared before saints thus reiterating the value of Sewa which had been taught here since a long time.

I was also handed over this uniform without having rendered any services. During Shahanshah Ji’s time, the same dress was given with a caution that Guru has bound you with this uniform, has provided you with his court. Now you should be faithful to the Mission.

It is prayed that we must stop committing mistakes and our past mistakes be forgiven. Satguru's blessings be always stay with us. We may always bring pride to Satguru's name.

After these words of surrender, Guljinder Gullu Ji & party from Gidhwadha Punjab, presented a beautiful song and received blessings of Her Holiness. All saints were were under the influence of divine feelings.

It was now time to hear the holy words coming directly from Satguru. Harjinder Manna Ji recited Manglaracharan: ‘Hai Samrath Parmatma Hai Nirgun Nirankar …’.

Everyone’s attention was drawn towards Satguru Mata Ji and all saints were fully focused on divine words of Her Holiness so as to imbibe each word in their hearts. The voice of Satguru Mata Ji was gradually raising:

Refine your life with Guru's wisdomSaints! Say with love, Dhan Nirankar Ji!Saints, everyone here spoke that God is

indestructible and divine. We all can know about God and attain God knowledge. Our source is Almighty God and we all are His constituents. God can be known and seen face to face. While on one hand we have to refine our life with divine knowledge, and on the other hand we also need to preserve it. We have to involve ‘Nirankar’ every moment in our lives and live with God realization throughout our lives. True devotion can come only after attaining God knowledge.

Before that we may place our faith in anyone and may have even read scriptures; but the deep understanding comes only after we have attained God knowledge.

Eventually when this God knowledge is coupled with the knowledge of holy scriptures, our understanding becomes deeper and comprehensive.

Until we have humility and large hearts and we

Sant Nirankari January 202044

do not have firm faith in devotion, we cannot imbibe these virtues. Howsoever educated we may be, but if we are devoid of humility and large heartedness, it is of no use. Like a person may be well read but his behaviour is uncivilized. It is not that there is something wrong with education. More we receive education, more we should become humble. There is this example of a little child asking for food from his mother. She gives food to him not because he asked for food in Sanskrit or English. Instead she gives food because she knows that here child had expressed faith in her that she would satiate his hunger. We also have to have this faith and love in our devotion; only then we will be able to satiate the hunger of our soul. May Nirankar fill everybody's life with Sewa, Simran, Satsang. Our appetite for Satsang and Simran can never be satisfied. However, we can at least make a beginning.

There were many reference to the 90-year long journey of the Nirankari Mission, I for myself, for the last two days, have also been mentioning about the benevolences of Baba Buta Singh Ji, Baba Avtar Singh Ji, Jagat Mata Ji, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and Nirankari Rajmata Ji. Those who got the opportunity to be close to Baba Hardev Singh Ji and Mata Savinder Hardev Ji or attend Sangats in their benign presence, talk about immense qualities including outstanding attributes of love, compassion and patience. Whosoever you meet, you come to hear that he/she got immense love from Baba Ji. Those who never got opportunity to speak to Baba Ji and simply got his glimpse while standing

in 'Namaskar' queue felt that every pore of their body was filled with love. Therefore, the description of 'Love Personified’ fits Him well. Talking of sympathy and love, I myself witnessed as to how he would smile and congratulate when he was apprised by the saint about the marriage of his son. On the other hand, if a saint spoke of his child’s untimely death, Baba Ji's expressions would reflect empathy for the saint. Baba Ji had immense patience. If we could imbibe even one percent of his patience, it would be too much for us.

I myself witnessed that often something was repeatedly told to Baba Ji, but he would never react. I even interrupted once or twice as a child, but he would never say that he had already been told before. He would patiently listen and behave as if he was listening it for the first time. Words fall short when we talk of Baba Hardev Singh Ji.

Satguru Mata Savinder Ji supported Baba Hardev Singh Ji right since the time Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji was heading the Mission. She would always teach us to rise above the family relationships and treat Satguru Baba Ji as Satguru, and not as a father. When we were in complete darkness, and the physical form of 'Satguru' was receding, she ignored her critical health condition and took up the responsibility

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 45

of becoming our guiding light as ‘Satguru’ on account of such a direction of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji.

Looking from a worldly perspective, Satguru Mata Ji was physically weak but she had divine inner strength and she held our hand as a spiritual guide. She supported Satguru Baba Hardev Singh JI for a period of 36 years and beyond that for a period of 2 years, she made her contribution as 'Satguru'. Other than her, none could have done this. No one else could have taken care of us in that manner.

This Mission has given us so much. All that we can do for this is to give up ego. We must imbibe divine qualities on day-to-day basis. We must regard others as brothers, realizing that the person has the same heart and same physical entity like ours. Then we won’t be able to hurt or inflict pain on anyone. Further, our inner self will radiate with the same love which we will

further spread to others. Our minds won’t discriminate on the basis of colour and caste, low and high.

Though we are talking about Mission's 90 years contributions to spread truth, this light of God knowledge had been there since ages. This will remain there even

when the entire universe will get destroyed. We have to follow the Mission in such a

manner that we should bring that firmness, feeling and spirit to refine our life. With us, the world will also get refined. First of all we have to clean our hearts with clear intention and imbibe divine qualities. We have to ensure that we do not give attention to negative feelings. We have to immediately dispel such thoughts. If we forgive our own mistakes, then why do we resent over others mistakes. Why can't we forgive others when the entire world is our family. Whether we have met someone or not, we should have love and respect for everyone. Over the last three days, we witnessed many facets of history. Saints have been mentioning how much we need to learn. As true Nirankaris, we have to first religiously follow the Mission and only then we will be able to effectively carry the Mission's

message to others.I would like to mention

that all those present in the Samagam, be it saints, invitees or personnel from different departments, they all have performed sewa well. This includes government departments or the departments of Sant Nirankari Mandal, Sewadal, Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation or the devotees who have been preparing

Sant Nirankari January 202046

the Samagam grounds for months to ensure that the visiting saints do not face any inconvenience in the tented accommodation. Many other services were performed by saints in their personal capacity. Often I would take a round of the grounds to oversee Samagam sewa, I found saints dedicatedly performing sewa related to cutting grass and leveling the ground. Caring for each other, the saints engaged in sewa would give their bottled water to thirsty fellow saints. Sewa is neither small or big. Sewa should be from heart. The real sewa is one which is performed in accordance with Satguru's directions.

We should remain as true disciples of Satguru and should be in the company of those firmly treading the path of spirituality. Even if we come in contact with those who are still weak in spirituality, we should ensure that they also become strong.

May God bless you all who have participated in this Samagam. Those who could not come and those who are watching it on internet, their attendance is also marked.

Be it the chiropractic doctors from abroad who offered their medical services, members of the executive committee offering management services or managing satsang, anyone who has offered any kind of services be blessed by God so that satsang, sewa and simran take deep roots in his life and every moment he takes only the shelter of Nirankar. With every breath, we have the awareness of Nirankar so that at no point we are deprived of this awareness. When we

lose this awareness we cease to be human and instead develop contrarian feelings.

We are born as humans and we should live like humans. When we refine ourselves, this world will also get refined. May Nirankar fulfil the physical, mental and material deficiencies in the life of all. And for some reasons if that deficiency remains, we should still remain in gratitude to God, thinking that it should be for our well being.

May all develop the spirit of satsang, sewa and simran and we should come closer to God.

Sadh Sangat Ji, Say with Love, Dhan Nirankar Ji.The saints of Green Room Group were now

rendering Simran Dhuni. Near the dais, the reporting team of newspapers and magazines and other teams supporting the programme were busy for the last three days. The team including Holy Sister, Renuka Ji which was responsible for showing attractive digital images on the screen behind speakers dais, made the Satsang programme lively and commendable.

After the conclusion of the Samagam, all the devotees were expressing their gratitude to Satguru Mata Ji. The next day in Guru Vandana programme, Satguru visited devotees in residential tents and they got the opportunity to have open glimpse of their True Master. The 72nd Samagam had duly completed and the devotees were heading for their respective destinations, looking forward to 73rd Sant Samagam.

Change Yourself by Inculcating

Best Qualities in

Behaviour

- Satguru Mata Ji

Tuesday, November 19, 2019: Upon official conclusion of the three-day Sant Samagam every year, saints always await eagerly a special function called ‘Guru Vandana’ (Reverence for Satguru). Coming from different cities of the country, the saints give presentations of song and drama as a gesture of their reverence for Satguru. This year also, the programme began as soon as Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji took Her seat.

To begin with, a dance performance was made by the children from Nirankari Colony (Delhi). It was as per the ‘Shloka’, describing Satguru as the greatest in the universe. During the dance, Hardik Ji and Sampriti Ji offered flowers in the feet of Satguru Mata Ji.

Guru Vandana

The next presentation was by saints from the city of Jaipur (Rajasthan). It was a song and the gestures and expressions of saints were exactly in accordance with the song ‘Guru Ke Darshan Se Mann Harshayo… (The Heart is too pleased to see Satguru). It was followed by a folk Garhwali dance presented by artistes from Dehradun. The music produced through their

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 49

Thereafter, saints from Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), presented an item ‘Vandana’. It was followed by a dance drama in Telugu language presented by saints from Hyderabad. It highlighted Mission‘s continuing stream of the Knowledge.

Next item was by saints from Bhiwani (Haryana) in the form of a drama, conveying the message that the primary goal in a human life is to attain God-Knowledge.

Another interesting drama presentation, titled ‘Sheesha’ (Mirror) was made by saints from Amritsar (Punjab). It reflected different and confused mind sets of people living in a city called ‘Gurunam’. The saints from Tripura regaled the audiences with their traditional dance based on a folk tale.

‘Mission Mangal (Mars)’, a stage play was performed in a unique manner by saints from Mumbai. It conveyed that the importance of God-Knowledge was well understood and can still be done so, if one rises above the petty walls of caste, colour, creed, etc., and imbibes the spirit of ‘We are the children of one Father’.

After this there was a dance presentation in Kashmiri language by saints from

Jammu &Kashmir. It was presented in three parts, showing three

aspects of devotion, viz,

traditional instruments created an appreciable atmosphere.Following this, saints hailing from Kinnaur (Himachal

Pradesh), in their traditional costumes, presented their local folk dance which conveyed the message that the darkness of ignorance can well be removed with the light of God-Knowledge.

The next was a performance of well known Garba dance, performed by brother and sister saints from Surat (Gujarat). Dressed in their traditional attire and holding ‘dandias’ (wooden sticks) in their hands, they created a cheerful atmosphere with their performance.

Sant Nirankari January 202050

‘prayer’, obeisance, and the bliss achieved upon the soul meeting God.

Another stage presentation titled ‘Where Do I Stand’ was made by saints from Bengaluru. It was also presented in three parts, each conveying a separate message.

It was now the turn of a Punjabi folk dance, popularly known as ‘Bhangra’. Saints hailing from Mansa (Punjab), in their traditional costumes and with musical instruments, came on the stage. They showed reverence for Satguru in the form of this dance style. This was followed by another Punjabi presentation, viz, a drama titled ‘Change’ which showed that people tend to accept public directions with much ease while being unnecessarily slow in following Satguru’s directions.

The next presentation was a drama from saints of Ludhiana showing briefly the 90-year history of the Mission. It was followed by a short film titled ‘Today, our gaiety and joy is because of you’. It briefly accounted for the benevolent acts of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj.

Then came on the stage, the singer-duo, popularly known as ‘Swaran-Baldev’ in the Nirankari world, together with Rev. Manmohan & Party. Then, the stage compere, Shri Rakesh Mutreja Ji invited Rev.

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 51

Sister Niranjan Ji and Smt. Rajkumari (Raj Mami) Ji. On behalf of the Sadh Sangat, they offered Dupatta (long scarf) to Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji and the entire enclosure echoed with the victory slogan of Satguru. It was immediately followed with the song presentation by Swaran-Baldev Ji: ‘Sohna Hai Roop Lagda Satguru Upkari da….(The benevolent Satguru has a beautiful appearance)’. The saints sitting in the entire main enclosure could not stop themselves from dancing and it continued for about 36 minutes. It finally culminated with the victory slogan of Satguru Mata Ji.

Finally, Satguru Mata Ji started blessing all the saints, with Her divine words:

‘Dear Saints, Say with Love, Dhan Nirankari Ji! Saint artistes, through their live presentations, conveyed messages which were also shared by saints with Sadh sangat for the past three day during the course of the Sant Samagam. They explained in details as to how the Mission’s history has been; what were the principles of the Mission; how one learnt that it is only the Nirankar who is omnipotent and without Him we are nothing. Various aspects were explained, e.g., how can we further strengthen our faith in Nirankar; how does the life start behaving with us whenever we forget Him. This morning also, it was well past noon when the morning round got over. The amount of patience as shown by saints was well noticed. I would, therefore, wish to express my sincere

Sant Nirankari January 202052

thanks to all the saints for exhibiting the pleasure on Satguru’s arrival. The pleasure expressed in different ways, like decorative rangolis on the streets, walking and playing musical instruments; tears of pleasure in numerous eyes - all were very overwhelming.

A large number of saints must have left their respective homes many days before to arrive here in advance to render sewa. And there are still many who must wind up all the arrangements before leaving for their homes. One can, of course, understand the enthusiasm for rendering services before the start of Samagam. However, when this festival of humanity is over, there are still various teams required to stay back to wind up all the arrangements. There is a slight note of flatness in doing so. However, we have to spend as much time in winding up as it took preparing for the Samagam.

All have contributed for this Samagam in a disciplined manner. I would like to convey my sincere thanks and appreciation for the services rendered for a successful Samagam. They also learnt so many good things during this event. I believe these would be applied in life.

May Lord bless us all that these pleasures continue to be with us throughout the year as we will gather once again in November next year. Till then, we must keep this enthusiasm in tact. Rather, all the teachings of the past 90 years should be imbibed in life. We had

been taking a step forward each year in strengthening our spirits, as also to

absorb the teachings for our coming generations. May Lord bless all that this light of God-Knowledge keeps spreading in every heart so that we keep on making progress

to change ourselves by bringing all those good things in our behaviour so that the world gathers these impressions from us.

Sadh Sangat Ji, Dhan Nirankar Ji!

Samalkha (Haryana), November 19: After the formal conclusion of the 72nd Nirankari Sant Samagam, saints witnessed the same divine scene of ‘Satguru’s glimpse’, which had been a practice since the era of Era-Visionary Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj. The lines from a verse of ‘Sampuran Avtar Bani’ proved to be true here, viz: ‘Ikko Ik E Khed Hai Ik Da, Lamba Chaura Lekha Nahin, Kahe ‘Avtar’ Guru Hi Rub E, Is Vich Koi Bhulekha Nahin (Undoubtedly, this is the solitary game of Satguru; ‘Avtar’ says it is beyond doubt that Guru acts as God)’.

The pious programme of ‘Satguru’s Glimpse’ was held after a gap of three years. Normally, the

Sant Nirankari January 202056

entire Nirankari world eagerly awaits this particular occasion. It is the time which is long awaited particularly by the saints from abroad to have close glimpse of Satguru.

The divine journey started with the first ray of the dawn and continued uninterruptedly for 8 hours. Soaked with love, the eyes overflow with tears unawarely while having a glimpse of Satguru. It is a moment when there is a direct connect between a devotee and the

Guru. Many saints just kept staring the divine face. There's an automatic circulation of excitement, swiftness and exaltation in saints’ hearts.

The journey of this divine-glimpse started at 7.30 A.M. from Ground-D, touching the Bhodwal Majri railway station. It started immediately after Satguru Mata Ji took Her seat in a decorated palanquin.

Not only saints from different states of the country, but also from far off countries fully enjoyed this journey. Attracted by a strange power,

these saints normally travel hundreds and thousands of miles to be able to absorb these invaluable moments in their hearts. They came to the site well before dawn and waited for hours for a divine glimpse of their Satguru.

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 57

Taking glimpse of their Satguru, a song came on their tongues naturally. They were singing: ‘Ruh Gadgad Ho Gai E, Dateya Darshan Karke Tere….(My soul is overjoyed having a glimpse of yours…)’.

Satguru Mata Ji got up in the palanquin and waved her hands following which thousands of hands were raised together. It looked as if countless waves were eager to come out of the ocean. Soaked with devotion, these saints were donning their respective traditional dresses and were shaking their body rhythmically. Ground-D accommodated saints belonging to states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab and Rajasthan.

This pleasant journey became a confluence of spirituality and different cultures. It happens that in spite of vividness of cultures, the ‘Oneness’ emerges. Far from the walls of different languages, colours, castes, religions, cultures, etc., one practically sees the scenario of ‘Children of One Father’. These scenes become reality, is exactly the vision of Satguru. A beautiful world is created in which people, embellished with human qualities, live with a spirit of ‘Oneness’.

Saints coming from Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Assam were accommodated in Ground-C of the Samagam Complex. These saints have had a good opportunity to take divine glimpse of their Satguru. Ground-B accommodated saints from Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Nepal, whereas Ground-A accommodated various wings, e.g., Samagam Committee, Exhibition as well as Sewadal.

The divine journey culminated at the main gate of the Samagam where a magnificent atmosphere was created. During the journey, sewadal bands from different cities were there to jointly welcome Satguru. Everyone was anxious to pay their obeisance to Satguru.

Sant Nirankari January 202058

With a vast overview of ‘90 years of the Sant Nirankari Mission’, the beginning of the 72nd Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam was made. Saints from every corner of the country as well as from far off countries arrived at the venue of the Samagam - Sant Nirankari Spiritual Complex in Samalkha (Haryana) to enjoy the spiritual bliss.

A nice and comfortable sitting arrangement was made for the comfort of devotees in the Main Congregation Enclosure. For the ease of saints, huge LED screens were put up at various points in the enclosure so that each activity on the stage could easily be visible. The background screen fixed at the back of speakers gave realistic effects, changing according to the theme and atmosphere created by each presentation. Holy Sister Renuka Ji and her team constantly controlled this system.

There were large number of saints coming from different far off countries, e.g., Australia, Canada, U.A.E., U.K. and America. In addition, at least 100 saints from many other countries arrived at the Samagam, like Malaysia, Zambia, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Germany, Congo, Greece, Nicosia, etc. Furthermore, there were saints also coming from Algeria, Austria, Bahrain, Doha-Qatar, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Oman,

Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, etc. Also, there were as many as 3,400 saints who came from the neighbouring country of Nepal.

On the third day of the Samagam, a 50-minute documentary prepared by the Nirankari Studio was screened showing impressively important activities of the Mission during the last 90 years.

Many publications like ‘Youth Empowerment’ and ‘Maryada’ (Propriety) were brought out. These were a compilation of a variety of articles, which were thoroughly enjoyed by visiting saints. Also, at the stalls of the Publication and Magazine Department, a crowd of saints was seen looking out for magazines like, ‘Sant Nirankari’ and ‘Hansti Duniya’, besides 'Ek Nazar'. In addition, saints were also interested in other Nirankari literature, DVDs, Photos, Calendars, Pocket Diaries, Big diaries, Photos of Satguru Mata Ji, Night Lamps, Door Bells, Badges of Mission’s 90 years, T-shirts, Caps, etc.

For the help of disabled saints, vehicles with volunteers were made available. This service gave an impression of the ‘Service for Humanity’. In the congregation enclosures, the devotees from ‘Forum for International Languages’ were keenly engaged in promoting the Mission’s message of Truth, Love and Oneness.

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 59

Gopi & Party, a well-known voluntary group based in Mumbai, erected a mega Main Entry Gate as well as other gates in different grounds.

Everyone appreciated the beauty of each gate.Separate counters were provided at the Accounts

and Sewadal Committee enclosures in order to help those saints who were willing to contribute their services in the Mission’s spiritual and social activities. ATM facilities of different banks were also provided for the convenience of the visiting saints.

The Publicity Department also extended services for providing ‘Knowledge Cells’ for bestowing ‘Knowledge’ to the inquisitive saints.

This service was provided in different languages, viz, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, English, etc.

Sant Nirankari January 202060

In the four huge grounds of the Samagam, four allopathic and four homeopathic dispensaries were actively rendering services. In these, as many as 197 doctors, 92 nurses, 164 pharmacists and 110 para medical staff were continuously looking after the patients. Two ambulances with saints, in addition to other emergency ambulances were ready for emergency requirements of patients.

In the Central Allopathic Dispensary of the Sant Samagam, a 66-member team of the Chiropractic doctors from America, Australia, New Zealand, U.K., were actively engaged in the treatment of patients. They treated over ten thousands patients suffering from spinal chord and other problems related to veins.

The allopathic dispensary treated as many as one lakh patients in addition to 50,000 patients treated by the homeopathic dispensary.

Further, oral health services like first-aid, ophthalmology, dental, acupressure, etc., were provided to another one lakh patients.

During three days of the Samagam, as many as 118 speakers, poets and lyricist saints expressed their feelings in Hindi, Punjabi, English, Gujarati, Sindhi, Telugu, Tamil, German, Pahadi, Bhojpuri, Multani, Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Bundelkhandi, Marathi, Nepali

and Italian languages. The Indian Railways provided 50% concession to

the saint travelers for their travels of more than 300 k.m. The Ministry for Railways also provided a facility of a three minute trains halt at Bhodwal Majri Railway Station for trains running between Delhi and Panipat. This facility was availed by thousands of devotees.

There were special counters of Light and Sound, Railway Reservation, Transport, Enclosure Reception, Water Complaints, Fire Post, Store Department, Land and Purchase, Samagam Committee, CCTV, Videographers, Graphics Team, Lost & Found, Mobile Recharging, Press & Publicity, Central Sewadal Office, etc. at the Samagam venue. The volunteers at these counters were working day and night. In the same manner, constant services were dedicatedly provided at langars, canteens and lavatories. The photo and videographers worked smartly to capture each activity of the Samagam.

An important contribution was made by the saints in the Green Room in selecting and presenting each item on the stage. They were extremely helpful in making the Samagam Programme lively and tasteful. They worked hard to formulate the entire programme with precision and gave each presentation a touch

Sant NirankariJanuary 2020 61

of the Mission’s principles, making these look graceful.

The entire atmosphere was full of love, harmony and devotion. It looked as if every participant was in a heavenly state. Each of them was seen touching feet of other saints without bothering about differences of caste-creed, small-big, poor-rich, etc.

The Samagam programme was also shown live on the Sant Nirankari Mission’s website - www.nirankari.org. In addition to

the Samagam, programmes of all the three days, the programmes of Sewadal Rally and Guru Vandana were shown on the website. About 7 lakh and 36 thousand people saw the direct webcast of the entire Samagam. The U-Tube channel was also used widely by thousands of devotees to witness the Samagam programme. A significant contribution by volunteers from the Nirankari Studio and the Computer and Internet Department was made for a successful transmission of the Samagam Programme.

activities during the 90-year journey of the Nirankari Mission. Rev. Rajkumari Ji (Mami Ji), Member In-charge, Publicity Department welcomed Satguru Mata Ji. This year the exhibition was divided into 4 sections - ‘Main Exhibition', 'Children Section', 'Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Section', and 'Studio Divine'. The main theme of this year's Exhibition was - '90 Years of the Sant Nirankari Mission'. The exhibition was a window, reflecting the Mission’s ideology, philosophy and history. Its outer look was so effective that a saint or a new visitor could not resist going inside to have a thorough look, despite long queues outside.

The Exhibition had a title of ‘1929-2019: The Journey of Joy’. It showed in order the times of Satgurus of the Mission - starting from Baba Buta Singh Ji (1873-1943) that marked the beginning of Mission’s journey of 90 years; it was further extended by Baba Avtar Singh Ji (1899-1969) that marked the divinity for Mission’s 90 years; followed by Baba Gurbachan Singh
