Mysore University Competitive Examination Training Centre had organized a

workshop for Gazetted Probationer and FDA post aspirants on 15-02-2020. The workshopwas inaugurated by Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, University of Mysore, Mysuru Dr. S.

Srikantaswamy, Director, College Development Board, University of Mysore, Mysuru andSmt. P. Deepu, Principal, Vidyavardhaka Law College, Mysuru were the Chief Guests. Prof.K.B. Vasudeva, Director, Vidyavardhaka Law College, Mysuru presided over the function.

During the inaugural address Prof. R. Shivappa said that employment is a trait ofmen. In today's situation employment is the hallmark of everyone. Those who get a job can

thrive, if a woman gets a job, her family will thrive; In turn society will develop.

He also said that the candidates aspiring to clear competitive examinations shouldhave only one goal. Along with that they need to develop confidence and persistence. Inorder to overcome insecurities and inferiority complex they need to develop positivethinking. Candidates need to develop reading and writing habit. Village students are no wayinferior to the students of the city. Rural students have more knowledge on ground realitiesof the society in comparison to their urban counterparts. Candidates should not bediscouraged by failures and mistakes. Failures are the stepping stones for success.

Dr. S. Srikantaswamy, Director, College Development Board, University of Mysore,Mysuru who was the chief guest during the occasion told that, one has to strive hard forexcellence. In today's society there are many opportunities when it comes to employment.These opportunities should be made use by the candidates appropriately. Opportunitiesshould be snatched away in life. Success can only be achieved by utilizing the availableresources.

Dr. H.M. Ramakrishne Gowda delivered the welcome address. Introductory remarkswas given by Sri D. Ravikumar. The programme was compeered by Sri. Shivakumar. Nearly&5 students of University of Mysore participated in this workshop.
