ROLE MODEL FOR OTHERS?
'A FASTING PERSON’S SLEEP IS WORSHIP,HIS SILENCE IS GLORIFICATION OF ALLAH,HIS GOOD DEEDS ARE ACCEPTED, AND HIS
SUPPLICATION IS ANSWERED.’
Even when a fasting person does notphysically, verbally or mentally exert anyeffort, he/she continues reaping rewards fromthe Almighty (s).Imagine then, the rewards for a person whogoes to earn a halal livelihood while fasting,or a parent who serves children while fasting,or a volunteer who cooks or serves iftar whilefasting. Another bonus of fasting is duasbeing answered. Let us remember the lessfortunate in our duas before asking for ourown needs. We must also pray for spiritualgrace and benefits in the hereafter ratherthan focusing on worldly gains.

The Heart of the Qur'an and a highlyrewarding surah. Three principles ofthe religion are outlined: monotheism, prophethood, and resurrection.Angels are sent to pray for the soul ofa dying person when this surah isrecited at their deathbed.
Make a point to read the Qur’an asmuch as possible. Numerousahadith indicate it’s excellence, especially in the blessed month ofRamadhan. Each deed is countedtenfold and reciting andunderstanding the Quran forms animportant part of this month. Sparea few moments, each day to openthe book and read it. Even a fewverses will yield rewards beyondimagination.

Imam Ali (a) says any believer whodies due to an illness is like ashaheed (martyr).
While they are not martyrs in theliteral sense, if they maintainpatience through their illness andhave a positive view of God, theyattain great reward from Allah (s) -similar to that of a martyr.

If we do decide to wear a ring onour left hand, then we should alsowear a ring on our right hand too.The ring finger and the littlefinger are the only fingers whererings should be worn.We need to be careful toremember that although ringshave barakah (blessings) - wecannot place too muchsignificance on them or rely onthem too much.
