EUROPOWER QUICK RELEASE COUPLINGS

Europower produces a comprehensive range of high performance, high reliability self-sealing valve couplings in a developing number of configurations to meet your need, whatever the requirements.

THE RANGE

FLAT FACE COUPLINGSA probe and carrier valve designed with Flat Faced connections suitable for use in high impulse applications.

INDUSTRIAL PULL-BREAK COUPLINGS ISO ‘A’ Series, ISO ‘B’ Series and ‘V’ Series Interface designed for use in general hydraulic applications.

AGRICULTURAL COUPLINGS A coupling designed for agricultural applications where push-pull connection is required. Also designed to be interchangeable with ISO ‘A’ Series couplings.

ISO TRAILER BRAKE COUPLINGS The Europower ISO Trailer Brake Coupling is designed to exceed the International Standards for towed agricultural and forestry braking systems.

SAFETY FUSES The Eurosafe and Minisafe Safety Fuses are designed to close instantly in the event of supply hose failure.

CUSTOMISED PRODUCTS The expertise of the Europower Design Engineers is at the disposal of all our customers.

MANUFACTURING CAPABILTY Europower produces around 700,000 couplings every year at its manufacturing facility.

The standard range of high performance valve couplings is manufactured in high quality steel with Cr3 (trivalent) zinc plating protection for corrosion resistance. Plating specifications can be customised to suit customers’ requirements and include QPQ and zinc nickel. Special seal materials are available including viton and EPDM. Several ranges of couplings are also available in 316 stainless steel and brass - please contact us for your requirement.

ISO ‘A’ SERIES

The carrier and probe sections are provided with internally spring-loaded poppet valves. An effective mechanical lock is achieved by means of located steel balls.

• O-ring seal gives positive self sealing on disconnection (carrier body has PTFE back-up washer to prevent extrusion).

• Connections and disconnection achieved using retracting sleeve.

• Working pressures meet with ISO standards. • Interchangeable with couplings designed

to ISO ‘A’ series interface. • Can be supplied as full-flow non shut-off

coupling - please specify at the time of ordering. • 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4” and 1” BSP and NPTF

thread variations. • End terminations available : BSPP, BSPT, NPT,

Metric and SAE.

ACCESSORIES Dust covers and plugs are supplied in an oil-resistant PVC elastomer with integral retaining rings to avoid loss whilst couplings are connected.

ISO FLAT FACE COUPLINGS

This coupling conforms to the dimensional and performance criteria of ISO 16028: 1999 (E). Coupling and releasing could not be easier. To couple, simply locate the male probe into the shallow recess of the female carrier and push together. The sleeve automatically snaps forward. To release, align the safety sleeve notch with the located ball and retract the sleeve. The coupling halves instantly snap apart.

• Robust design and construction for field reliability under the harshest conditions.

• Safety factor 4:1 in both the coupled and uncoupled condition.

• Flat mating faces with shallow location step on female carrier, easily wiped clean with positive location for male on connection.

• Safety-lock sleeve to guard against accidental disconnection.

• Positive valve action giving non-spill design preventing fluid loss on connection and disconnection with no air inclusion on connection.

• Assured mechanical locking.• Female carriers contain the maximum

number of locking balls with equal load bearing characteristics, thus reducing the risk of brinelling and ensuring optimum reliability on high impulse systems.

• Proven fatigue live of over 1.8 million impulse cycles at 1.4 x working maximum pressure, in the coupled condition, and 100,000 impulse cycles at 1.3 x maximum working pressure in the uncoupled condition.

• Metal dirt seal ensures no ingress of dirt into carrier when coupled.

Flat face couplers are specifically designed for applications needing no-leak performance, ‘A’ Series offers higher pressure ratings, superior flow ratings, lower pressure drop compared to standard series. 12 to 20 balls to increase the male bearing points & decrease the brinelling effect. The mating faces are easily cleaned before connecting, making it the ideal solution for limiting contamination in a hydraulic circuit. The design allows applications involving high pressure impulses in agriculture equipment, mobile construction equipment and general industrial plants. Non-spill design avoids fluid loss in connection and disconnection.
