All packaging used is produced in a 100%

How it ’s made

Collected PET bot tles are crushed into small f lakes, which are then washed, separated by colour and turned into pellets.

These small pellets are then thermoformed into sheets or ‘ f ilms’ which are the main component in the production of our suitcases.

Besides the hardshell body, the inner lining and zippers are also made from recycled PET plastic.

09.ABS/Polycarbonate (ABS/PC) ABS & polycarbonate is a combination of the more stif f ABS coated with a layer of f lexible but strong polycarbonate. This not only makes the suitcases light , i t makes them durable and strong. The combination of these materials is of ten given a high gloss f inish. These materials are also used to produce suitcases featuring a full-colour print (ABS with a PC film layer with print).

As former town hall built in 1792 it has seated multiple municipalit ies and even patrolmen. Evidence of this is still visible in to the two authentic jailcells that are behind the building.

POLYCARBONATE (PC)

PET/RPET

Polycarbonate has a number of impressive qualities; the material is extremely strong and incredibly lightweight. The fact that the material is so strong allows for it to be thinner and, therefore, lighter.

Apart from being flexible and bendable, it is also hard, which means that a suitcase made of polycarbonate can withstand rough handling.

Due to these exceptional qualities, this material is often used in the aviation industry for airplane windows, among other things.

Within the world of suitcases the PET material is still relatively new. People know it in the form of the PET bottle (e.g. the Coca Cola bottle).

The material is flexible, very strong and also light. It is also recyclable and durable. In other words, a first step in the direction towards a ‘greener suitcase’.

ABSSuitcases made from ABS are both strong and light. In general, this material is slightly stiffer when compared to others. Lego toys, for instance, are also made from ABS.

The ABS material often features a shark skin layer (a ribbed motif). This helps to protect the suitcase from scratches.

ABS & POLYCARBONATEABS & polycarbonate is a combination of the more stiff ABS coated with a layer of flexible but strong polycarbonate.

This not only makes the suitcases light, it makes them durable and strong. The combination of these materials is often given a high gloss finish.

These materials are also used to produce suitcases featuring a full-colour print (ABS with a PC film layer with print).

POLYPROPYLENE (PP)Polypropylene is a common, extremely solid and extremely strong plastic. Its enormous strength makes the suitcase indestructible.

This material used to be very heavy, but due to new production technologies and developments, it can now be produced in a much lighter form.

SAFELY STORE YOUR LUGGAGE?

These are all our locks in a nutshell.

Most suitcases come with a lock, usually with a number combination. The purpose of the lock is to prevent unwanted access. What if the suitcase doesn’t have a lock?

You could consider buying a separate lock. Most suitcases are fitted with kissing zipper pulls that can easily accommodate a lock.

Since 11 September 2001, United States customs officers are allowed to open and check each suitcase if they deem the situation to be suspicious.

If your suitcase is locked with a normal lock, they may even break it open if deemed necessary. For this reason TSA locks (Transportation Security Administration) came into being.

The United States customs officers can open these locks with a passkey. It is expected that more countries will start using these.

Do you have a suitcase without a TSA lock and are you planning to travel to the US? Don’t put anything in your suitcase that would cause the Customs Department to check it, do not lock your suitcase or use a separate TSA lock.

This is a very high quality material. Another advantage of soft suitcases is that they have more give (which is useful when packing) and often feature additional compartments on the front.

Still lightweight and a little less rigid than 600D, 300D is the ideal material to use for foldable bags. With a little more flexibility in the material, it saves you storage space easily.

600 DENIER POLYESTER

600 denier polyester is one of the most rigid soft materials. It is very versatile and can be used for all sorts of travel items such as suitcases, backpacks and small travel accessories.
