FOREWORD

Solapur University, Solapur has prepared Perspective Plan for 2019-20 to 2023-24 in consultation with MAHED. It is my immense pleasure to submit this Perspective Plan considering the progress of the University in Five years. The academic projections and different courses useful for the Solapur community has been presented considering the educational life-line for all age groups and specially for the age group of 18 to 30 years. I am highly thankful to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri. Devendra Fadnavis for providing this opportunity to understand the need of blending social system with academia. I am equally thankful to Hon’ble Higher and Technical Education Minister Shri. Vinod Tawade for asking us to prepare this plan in time bound system. This has enable us to understand the importance of framing of different objectives for the future growth of the University. It is my honest thanks to all MAHED committee members for informing us all sorts of information for the preparation of the document. I thanks specially to Dr. K. B. It is an addition to the Education system which has given different angle to think about the growth of higher education in the University.

1. Executive Summary The Perspective Plan of Solapur University, Solapur is aimed primarily at enhancing the GER, address the Gender equality issue, inclusiveness and achieving academic Excellence with related skills. Prepared as per recommendations of Dr. Narendra Jadhav Committee, the perspective plan attempts to meet expectations of the MAHED. The highlights are:

Solapur University proposes 21 new colleges under the perspective plan 2019-20 to 2023-24 including 5 Women’s colleges are proposed at Pandharpur, Sangola, Madha, Akkalkot and Barshi taking into consideration the higher number of female students population. However, less number of females is registered in the said areas in higher education.2 Night Colleges will be started at Pandharpur and Barshi to provide opportunity for the working classes of students specially from working classesto bring them into the main stream of higher education1 pharmacy college in North Solapur taluka, 1 Law College in Malshiras taluka and 1 Sant wagnmay college at Pandhapur.It is also proposed to start 7 schools on the University campus (Language, Technology, Life Science, Education, Commerce & Management, Health Science and Fine &Performing Art) 1 Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), 1 University conducted Skill Development College and 2 sub campuses will be established at Barshi and Pandharpur. 16 Incubation Centres will be established during first and second plan year.

UG/PG programs with high employment potential skills will be the main focus for generating employability as per local and global requirement. It will have components of internship, training, and incubation for that skill development center will be established which will train the trainers and also to introduce 46 additional skill based courses. Sanskrit, Prakrit, Pali and Creative Arts like Sculpture, Painting, Drawing, Art and Craft, Music, Dance and Dramatics, Martial Arts, Yoga, Life Skills and Value Education, Sports will be introduced in the present education system of the university. It will bring back the glory of Solapur district’s rich literary, lingual, spiritual and cultural heritage. The perspective plan provides a road map for emphatic, time bound and meticulous planning and implantation of proposed colleges and courses with special focus on skill identification to meet local and global needs. It also proposes additional credit with CBCS pattern in the curriculum. Every year Academic & Administrative Audit (AAA) of 15 colleges will be done. 20 Colleges having B grade will be guided in plan period for obtaining higher NAAC grade. Technical programmes of the engineering colleges will be accredited with NBA. Colleges and University Schools (8+3) will be encouraged to undergo autonomy. Industry academy partnership, consultancy, R&D development and to improve the quality of research, research park will be established. The effective execution of Perspective Plan, it is essential to recruit the faculty and start the grant-in-aid schools, establish grantable new subjects under various schools.

3. Rationale and Background Data

1. In Mangalwedha, Barshi and Pandharpur the admission of girls is low. Extreme poor

Enrolment is found for females in vocational courses (Especially in Madha),

Followed by Science. (cf. Annexure 1)

2. Very poor GER is found in South Solapur, Mohol, Akkalkot, Karmala and

Mangalwedha. (cf.Annexure 2)

4. NAAC accreditation of 61 non grant colleges has not been done. (cf. Annexure 3)

5. Per Capita Income is low in Madha, Mohol and Sangola similarly employment and

female labour ratios are very low in organised sector throughout the district.

Literacy rate, especially female literacy is also poor in Mangalwedha and

Akkalkot. Condition of Drinking water, electricity supply and Public Health

Centres is very poor in Karmala, Madha, Mangalwedha and Mohol talukas.

6. Major industries in the region and skill required for its development is not

satisfactory (cf.Annexure 5).

7. Micro Small Medium Enterprises are also moderate in the district.(cf.Annexure 6)

8. Agro based industries and its R&D is not up to the mark. (cf.Annexure 7)

9. The very important industries of this region Craft, Handloom and Local Products

are lifeline for the area. However, it is losing importance. (cf. annexure 8)

10. Local resources (agro product, minerals, tourist spot etc.) can be developed well.

However, the needed attention is not given (cf.Annexure 9).

4. Proposed Action Plan Year- 1 (2019-20)

1. Opening of 06 new colleges including 02women colleges at Akkalkot and Sangola (due to low female literacy) ; 01 Night College at Pandharpur (to help out students under earn and learn programme);02 Traditional Colleges Arts, Commerce and Science Colleges at South and North Solapur and 01Pharmacy College in North Solapur. These colleges will be encouraged to adopt at least two skill courses for students’ development.

2. School of Languages (Marathi, English, Hindi, Sanskrit and Urdu departments) will be opened in the university campus.

3. Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) will be established on the campus to train the teachers.

4. Skill Development Center will be started on the university campus to train the trainees.

5. One University Conducted Skill Development College will be established in the Solapur City.

6. Seven Certificate/Diploma courses (Yoga and Naturopathy, Performing Art, Therapeutic Nutrition, Agro-Tourism, Vermin Compost) on the basis of heavy demand from all stakeholders on the campus. Number of Skill oriented courses will be started in affiliated colleges as per the perspective plan.

7. Parallel Health Sciences courses (Clinical Psychology, Naturopathy, and Research skill course in Health Sciences and Health Assistant Courses) under MUHS, Nashik. (MoU has been already signed)

8. Promotion of 04 interdisciplinary research activities (Rural Development, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Statistics).

9. Promotion of 5 research activities (Study of irrigation Project, Plastic Ban, Yoga and Acupressure) among students through research projects.

10. Expansion of administrative building in 482 acres of the University. 11. Agro Tourism project development in 07 acres. 12. Establishment of one handloom and textile units. 13. Opening of Incubation Centre of alumni and other stake holders with 03

startups. 14. Workshop for non-grant colleges will be organized to promote to get NAAC

accreditation. 15. Academic Administrative Audit (AAA) of15non-grant colleges will be

carried out. 16. Implementation of e-governance for examination by conducting online

entrance examination for PG courses run on University campus. 17. Enhancement of Social activities like Unnat Bharat, Jalyukt Shivar, Beti

Bachao Beti Padhao in 07 adopted villages by the University. 18. Equal opportunity cells will be established in 10 grant in aid colleges 19. Establishment of permanent unit (Namami Chandrabhaga) for Pandharpur

Yatra under the scheme of cleanliness and awareness programme.

Year- 2 (2020-21) 1. Opening of 05 new Colleges including 01Night College at Barshi, 02 women

colleges at Madha and Malshirasand 02 traditional colleges Arts, Commerce and Science College at Karmala and Mangalwedha. These colleges will be encouraged to adopt at least two skill oriented courses for students’ development.

2. School of Technology will be established and promotions will be given to Nanotechnology, Medicinal Chemistry and Tissue Culture, five year integrated course in Cosmetic Technology.

3. To strengthen the existing School of management as School of Commerce & management. It is also proposed to re-open M.B.A on the campus.

4. Establishment of incubation centers in eight colleges for Food Processing and Agro based products.

5. Implementation of skill based diploma and degree courses in four talukas Madha, Karmala, Mangalwedha, Mohol and Sangola. Number of Skill oriented courses will be started in affiliated colleges as per the perspective plan.

6. Delivery of 06 patents in Physical Sciences, Economics, Research training. 7. Opening of 04 Language Departments (Kannada, Telugu, Paliand Prakrut )

02 foreign language departments (German & Chinese) on the campus. 8. Implementation of One year diploma course Textotronics (textile and

electronics) on the university campus. 9. Implementation of Translation courses (Marathi, Hindi, English, Kannada,

and Telugu). 10. Commissioning of Solar Unit (additional 100 keV) on the university campus. 11. Start of Medico Tourism on the campus for employment generation. 12. Establishment of 06placement cells with the help of Alumni Association. 13. 10 non grant colleges will be encouraged to undergo NAAC accreditation 14. Academic, Administrative Audit (AAA) of 06 University schools and 40

grant in aid affiliated colleges (2nd phase) and AAA of16non grant colleges (1st Phase).

15. 05 Colleges having B+ grade will be guided to acquire grade reaccreditation. 16. 02 colleges will be encouraged to opt autonomy. 17. Equal opportunity cells will be established in 10 grant in aid colleges.

Year- 3 (2021-22)

1. Opening of 04 new Colleges including 01 Women College at Pandharpur and 03 traditional colleges i.e. Arts, Commerce and Science at Mohol, Barshi and Malshiras. These colleges will have at least two skill courses.

2. To start School of Life Sciences, School of Health Science on the University Campus.

3. 04 skill oriented courses (Food Processing, Expansion of Medical Tourism, Translation Studies and Transliteration) will be implemented. Number of Skill oriented courses will be started in affiliated colleges as per the perspective plan.

4. Opening of 03 Certificate/ Diploma Course in Commerce and Economics (Accounting, Tally Taxation and Insurance) in university and affiliated colleges.

5. Expansion of Agrotourism projects with addition of Nakshatravan and Ecotourism.

6. Consolidation of Handloom unit as per international standards. 7. Skill based courses will be integrated with degree courses under CBCS. 8. Placement cell will be strengthened with self-employment activities like

Clinical Psychology unit, Physiotherapy Yoga, etc. 9. Water recycling plant will be established. 10. Running track (400 m x 8 lane) and basketball will be incorporated in the

Sports facility on the campus. 11. 02 capacity building programmes (self-defense and moral value education)

for women managers will be organized. 12. To encourage Earth Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences,

Computational Sciences and Archeology to file 05 patents/ IPRs. 13. 10 Non grant colleges will be encouraged to undergo NAAC accreditation. 14. Academic, Administrative Audit (AAA) of15 non grant colleges. 15. 05 Colleges having B+ grade will be guided to acquire ‘A’ grade

accreditation. 16. 02 colleges will be encouraged for autonomy. 17. NAAC reaccreditation of Solapur University. 18. Equal opportunity cells will be established in 10 grant in aid colleges

Year- 4 (2022-23)

1. 05new colleges including 03 traditional colleges i.e. Arts, Science and Commerce will be opened at Sangola, Madha and Akkalkot talukas on the basis of literacy rates of the district and 01 Sant Wandgmay College at Pandharpur, 01Law College in Malshiras.

2. Establishment of School of Fine & Performing Art on the University Campus.

3. Expansion of sport activities on 482 acres land. Athletic track and traditional games like Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Handball, Basketball, and Indoor Games will be enhanced. Starting of 02 Diploma courses (environmental studies, soil and water testing). Number of Skill oriented courses will be started in affiliated colleges as per the perspective plan.

4. International MoU for sustainable development in social science department will be done.

5. Expansion of Parallel Health courses in medico tourism will be developed. 6. Social program will be initiated under which women from bidi workers and

textile workers will be encouraged to prepare school uniforms. 7. 10 non grant colleges will be encouraged to undergo NAAC accreditation 8. Academic, Administrative Audit (AAA) of15 non grant colleges. 9. 05 Colleges having B+ grade will be guided to acquire grade reaccreditation.

10. 02 colleges will be encouraged for autonomy. 11. Equal opportunity cells will be established in 10 grant in aid colleges

Year 5 (2023-24)

1. 02 sub campuses of University at Barshi and Pandhapur will be established 2. To start School of Education on the University Campus. 3. Skill Development Courses related to Environmental Studies and Agro

Tourism will be strengthened. Number of Skill oriented courses will be started in affiliated colleges as per the perspective plan

4. 03 Courses (Acupressure, Reflexology and Sport Journalism) will be added. 5. Gender sensitization programme will be organized for awareness and

motivation at University level. 6. Industrial training, development of tiny and small scale industries will be

encouraged. 7. 10 non grant colleges will undergo NAAC accreditation 8. 05 Colleges having B+ grade will be guided to achieve A grade

reaccreditation. 9. 02 colleges will be encouraged for autonomy.

5. Strategies and Modes of Implementation 5.1 New locations Total 13 locations have been proposed. One location may have more than one

college as per the details given in Annexure 12.

5.2 Equity Equal opportunity cells: Currently there are no fully functional equal opportunity cells

in the university and affiliated colleges. It is proposed to establish 1 in university and

40 in aided colleges.

Facilities for physically challenged students: Current 5 schools and 40 colleges have

partial facilities for physically challenged students. By 2024, full facilities will be

established in 7 schools and 57 colleges.

Schemes for tribal and disadvantageous groups: Currently no scheme, however, by

2024, the university will establish 1 scheme pertaining to remedial coaching for such

students.

Scholarships/schemes for economically and socially challenged students: Currently there are three scheme, (1) Muli Shikva Samaj Ghadwa scheme under which full expenses of girl students is taken care; current beneficiaries are 17, (2) Rajashri Shahu Maharaj Purskar of Rs. 5000/- (3) Earn and Learn Scheme for economically challenged students. By 2024, the university will add the following schemes, (1) Book Bank (2) Economical Assistance for Competitive Examinations. Schemes for special needs of transgender: Currently there are no schemes at present. By 2024, the university will add the following schemes, (1) Free Hostel Facility (2) Reservation in Admission (University Campus)

5.3 New courses Total 71 new courses have been proposed, which include 46 skill based courses, 02 entrepreneurship courses, 1 professional, 14 PG , 5 UG, and 03 performing art courses. Details are given in Annexure 13. 5.4 Modification/revision of the existing courses to make them orient to the objectives All traditional degree courses (UG and PG) will be modified to include at least one skill component under CBCS. The concerned skill component will be provided by the university as well as by the private skill provider. University and select affiliated colleges will seek recognition as VTI under Ministry of Skill Development, GoM.

5.5 Implementation of Choice Based Credit system CBCS has been implemented for PG courses since academic year 2015-16 and for UG since 2016-2017. Stress in the perspective plan period is to make CBCS more effective and result oriented, and also to include a skill component through CBCS mechanism. 5.6 Train the trainers At least one teacher from each school of theUniversity and one teacher from each affiliated colleges will be trained from private skill provider. As well as recognition as VTI under Ministry of Skill Development, GoM will be obtained. These trained teachers will provide training to the additional teachers of University campus as well as affiliated colleges by organising training programs under the guidance of University. Trained teachers will pass on the knowledge regarding various skills to the students. Through the additional skill component courses.

5.7 Developing appropriate R&D culture University proposes to establish Research Park on the campus. Research Committee constituted by the university will frame the mechanism for enhancing R&D culture among the teachers. The funds received from the project run with the help of industries and consultancy received will be shared by concern faculty and respective college in proportionate as decided by the committee. Incentives will be given to the research mentor and the students working under the scheme. Staff will be encouraged to have industry partnership in the project. University will sanction the funding for research projects after proper evaluation of the scheme. Year wise evaluation of the project will be done by the expert team accordingly suggestions, incentives will be given to the research mentor. Looking to the outcome of the project University may sanction additional funding to the project. The information regarding Research Park and facilities, consultancy services available in specific area, analysis facilities will be uploaded on website so that concern people may directly approach the Director of the research park to seek the R&D guidance.

5.8 Strengthening linkages with industry The university has developed fairly good R&D interaction with industry. The details

Currently there are no patents granted, however, the numbers of published patents, in respect of departments/colleges are: School of Earth Sciences (2), School of Chemical Sciences (4), SKN Singhgad College of Engineering (2), Walchand Institute of Technology (2) and College of Engineering Pandharpur (2). By 2024, the university and the affiliated colleges will aim for 34 patents.

In order to enhance the industry-university partnership, it is proposed to have internship for students of UG and PG level. For strengthening theses linkages periodical meetings with industry persons will be arranged. 5.9 Engagement with local region As regards the social and governmental programmes, the university and affiliated colleges are involved in (1) Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, (2) Voter Awareness Campaign, (3) Ramai Gharkul Yojana, (4) Cyber Crime Awareness, and (5) Awareness Traffic Rules and Regulations. Participation of faculty members and students is 61 and 1356 respectively. By 2014, the engagements with extend to programmes, (1) Jalayukta Shivar, (2) Third Party Assessment, (3) River Rejuvenation, (4) Conservation of Biodiversity, etc. with enhaced participation of faculty members and students.

The programs where the university and colleges have made interventions in the economics of the local region include (1) testing of ground water recharge for farmers and industrialists, (2) static water level changes monitoring, (3) heavy metal ions detections and (2) enhancing agro tourism. By 2024, the university will undertake special schemes such as (1) Generation of electricity bio waste (2) Harvesting of solar energy, (3) Preservation of antiquities, (4) Management of solid waste, (5) Enhancing agro tourism, (6) To provide consultancy to wooden furniture industry for quality/durability/appearance, (7) dyeing and bleaching consultancy, (8) Smart city technology development (Driver drowsiness detection device), (9) Agriculture technology development (automated pesticide sprayer), and (10) Medical simulators for resident trainee.

5.10 Developing skill and entrepreneurship The university has proposed new 46 skill courses and 2 entrepreneurship courses as shown in Annexure-13. Currently offered skill courses are 42. Thus by 2024, the university and the affiliated colleges will conduct 88 skill courses and 2 entrepreneurship courses. It may be noted here that these skill courses are based on the

need of the local region, and therefore are expected to help the students to become employable and entrepreneurs.

As regards the internship/in-plant training, the university will include these in all UG and PG courses. For professional UG and PG programmes, mandatory internship will be for 3 months, MSc programmes will also have 3 months internship. For BSc, internship period will be for 1 month. Other UG and PG courses will have at least 15 days of mandatory field work.

The university currently has 1 incubation centre, which will be formalized under MSInS, Ministry of Skills, GoM. There are 5 more incubation centres in the affiliated colleges and this number will be raised to 15 by 2024.

Presently the university and affiliated colleges have 24 placement cells, this number will be increased to 30 by 2024, thereby enhancing the coverage of students from 10,000 to 20,000.

5.11 University as a cultural power house of the region Currently 09 courses on Fine Art/Performing Art/Tourism are offered in the university and affiliated colleges (see annexure 14B). For 2019-2024, the university has proposed to add 03 courses (see annexure 13E).

The university has one Archaeological Museum (School of social Sciences) and D.N. Wadia Museum on Fossils and Rock Samples (School of Earth Sciences). DBF Dayanand College of Arts & Science, Solapur has Centre for preservation of Heritage & Culture of Maharashtra and Shri Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Barshi has Karmaveer Jagdale Mama Memorial Museum. During 2019-2024, four more centres are proposed as follows: (1) Dayanand Museum at DBF Dayanand College of Arts & Science, Solapur, Historical Museum at Shri Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Barshi, Dr. M. S. Krishnan Museum at School of Earth Sciences and (4) Numismatics Museum at School of Social Sciences.

5.12 Students’ welfare Currently there exist 1 centre for carreer counselling and guidance in the university and 40 such centres in affiliated colleges. By 2024, all aided colleges will have these cells, thereby raising the total to 81. There is one centre for training in competitive examination. One more centre will be established at university’s study centre at Ranga Bhawan. As regards the Earn and Lern Scheme, university and 6 affiliated colleges have this scheme benefiting about 100 students per year. The scheme will be extended to 33 more colleges thereby benefiting 1bout 450 students. The university has students’ insurance scheme; medical coverage of 1 lakh and accidental death coverage of 10 lakhs.

5.13 Sports The students of the university have excelled in sports such as Swimming & Diving, Handball, Fencing, Taekwondo, Basketball, Archery and Wrestling. Specific high achievements by the students in National competitions (All India University Sports Competition) are Gold Medal (3), Silver Medal (5) and Bronze Medal (8). The university would like to see at least one student playing in Asian and International competition by 2024. University is building necessary infra structure including synthetic running track, basket ball court etc .

5.14 Development of key research areas which bring

national/international visibility Presently, faculty members are engaged in a variety of research areas and there exists good core competence. The faculty have h-index in the range of 4 to 35 with 6500 citations and have published 750 research papers in reputed international journals. It is proposed to consolidate the core competence under 4 key research areas that have close relationship to the local problems as well as currently evolving issues that are going to be critical in coming years. These areas are: (1) Rainwater harvesting and artificial recharge, (2) Robotics and Data analytics, (3) Agricultural Economics and (4) Rural Studies Issues in financial and social inclusion. 5.15 Strengthening linkages with National/International Universities/Agencies 5.15 Linkages with International/National/State level institutes/agencies:

5.15.1: International Universities/Institutes -School of Social Science has signed NMO University of Turku, Finland, School of Computational Science has a MoU with Trialect Incorporation USA.

5.15.2: National Universities/Institutes - Solapur University has developed linkages with various national and international research institutes and industries through MoU’s, collaborations and technology transfer. At present solapur university has signed 25 national and international research institutes and industries 5.15.3 RUSA: - Solapur University has received Rs. 15 crores under RUSA 1 phase for universities for Infrastructure, Research & Innovation and Renovation of existing infrastructure. Recently RUSA has allocated an amount of Rs. 100 crores for Centre of excellence - Centre for Smart Cities.

5.15.4 TEQIP: Faculties from engineering colleges will be encouraged to submit the proposal for availing the grants.

5.15.6 UGC/AICTE- Faculties from Solapur University received funds from UGC. The total outlay of fund is 2.82 crores.

5.15.7 DST/DBT:-Faculties from Solapur University received funds from DST to carry an individual research project. The total fund received is approx. Rs.95 lakh.

5.16 Reforms in academic administration

5.16.1: e-governance: Information about the university and various activities will be provided through digital way- website, Apps, SMS. The communication with the various authorities also be developed with digital media through email. Year wise planning will helpto achieve the goal as paper less university.

5.16.2: Linkages among various departments such as BOS, Academic Council and Affiliated colleges:

Yearly Schedule of the various meeting, agendas, minutes of the meetings, circular, meeting notices will be circulated to the directors of various schools, BOS chairman, members, Academic Council members, Principals of affiliated colleges, Management councils, IT in charges via emails . In year wise planning it is proposed to have efficient working of the program.

5.16.3: Digital initiative: University library is subscribing e-books and e-journals. Full-fledged computer facilities with internet will be provided to the student for easy access of the resources. In year wise planning e- departmental library with supporting facilities such as computers, internet, Wi-Fi, etc will be developed. Use of Swayam and linkage with National Digital Library for sharing of digital Resources developed. 5.16 4: Uploading awards in National Academic Depository (CDSL, NSDL): University has already started uploading of degree certificate in NAD. Students will be encouraged to register themselves for NAD. Awareness workshops will be organized in the affiliated colleges, to promote and to enhance the use of NAD will be done in successive year. 5.16.5: Academic audit: In first phase Solapur University has audited 40 grants in aided colleges and 05 schools on the campus. After every three years they will be re-audited. In second phase 68 non grant colleges will be audited in year wise planning. 5.16.6: Satellite centres and Autonomy to departments and colleges: In the fifth year of perspective plan, two sub campuses are proposed at Pandharpur & Barshi for administrative decentralization of the university work. Presently NAAC grade of the university is B with CGPA 2.62. University will undergo reaccreditation in 2020. After fulfilling eligibility criteria’s university will promote 03 departments to undergo autonomy. Presently only one college is having A+ grade and having eligible for Autonomy. The respective college will be encouraged to obtain autonomy. 5.16.7: Keeping track of students going for higher studies: Students going to pursue doctorial research at national/international institutes, for post doctorial research, who have started start up projects, entrepreneurs will be maintained by framing suitable mechanism in consultation with the various schools. Year by year it will be strengthened.

5.16.8: Keeping track of Alumni and strengthening Alumni Association: Alumina association of university is registered. Its functioning is maintained by organising periodical meetings. It is planned to involve Alumina in development and welfare of students by using their expertise. Alumina will be encouraged to start incubation centres with. 5.16.9: Exam reforms: Online examinations: University has implemented 40 recommendations of Rajesh Agarwal Committee on Exam Reforms as on line question Paper Delivery, on line applications for Revaluation, on line student registration for examination to issuance of hall tickets.O.M.R. and Barcode Technology in cover page of answer sheets also adopted Digital Scanning & Onscreen evaluation, Dematting of Degree Certificates. 5.16.10: Smart Campus: University has started the use of non-renewable energy sources by generating 100 KeV by installing solar panels. In next phase additional 100 KeV electricity will be generated by installing Solar. Water Harvesting projects will be implemented in year wise planning to save at least 30% water. University has started Vermin compost unit to manage degradable waste. In successive years more vermin compost units will be developed. E-waste from the university will be manage in consultation with Ecoreco Recycling Ltd, Mumbai 5.16.11: Reforms in Financial Management. University runs the mode of payments by digital system for collecting admission fees, examination fees and fees from colleges. Payments of various services are made by on line payment gateway. It is envisaged that in 2024 university will generate fund to the tune of 30 lakh per year through technology transfer, incubation, consultancy and working with government agencies.
