1he Protectorate s'hall be deetzled to have contravenetl this Ordinazlce. Any gmmts. ,person convicted uuder this Section m ay, iu addition to liability to removal or.otherwise, be imprisoned with or without hard labour for any term not exceed-îng six m onths. Provided that such im prisonment shall cease if and wheaarrangem ents are macle for the deportation of the offender from the Protectorate.

9. No person who com es within the definition of a prolkibited imm igrant yprolkibitetlmmigrant zzotsllall be released from tlle operation of tllis Ordinance, or allawed to be or relea.ed by mer.rem ain in the Protectorate, merely because he has not baen notifiecl not fo land, entry.or because he nlay have been allowed to lancl through oversight or through.want of knowledge that he was a prohibited immigrant. Proof adduced withlntwelve mouths after any person has entered the Protectorate that he is of anyof tihe classes whose eutry is prohibited shall be suëcient evideuce that suchperson was a prohibitecl immigrant, aud. such person shall be liable to be thendealt with as a prohibited imm igrant.

Every person guilty of a contravention of this Ordinance t7r of anyRule for the tim e being published hereunder shall, where no penalty is express-ly imposed, be liable to a fine not exceeding Rs. 750 or, irt default of paymentthereof , innprisonment with or without hard labour for a period not exceedingsix m ouths, or l1e may be sentenced to such imprisonment without tlle optionof a fine.

transferred to and tried before itself or may direct by general or special order tlaat anytriable by the Court of Session sàall be committed for trial to the High Court.person
