1) The 2021 Mass Book will open on Monday, November2nd. Please use the special form (in this Sunday’s bulletin, pg5) to request Masses. (Page 6 is a sample, how to fill it out!) Youcan either mail it in, put it in the Sunday collection basket or placein the Rectory mailbox. Whichever way you choose to get it to theRectory, a form of payment MUST accompany it ($10 per Mass).They will be put in the Mass Book as they are received. Renee willreach out, AFTER the opening of the Mass Book, to anyone whoserequest date (including your alternate date) was already claimed.PLEASE PRINT legibly on all forms! Bear in mind that theSaturday 4:30PM Mass counts as a Sunday Mass – please, makenote of that when choosing your two (2) Sunday maximum request.At the bottom of the form you will see a place to list your name (therequester) AND a telephone number that you can be reached at. 2) K of C Trinity Council 313 Food Drive-- The Knights arehosting a Halloween food collection to replinish inventory at theFood Pantry at Holy Infance. COVID-19 continues to increase thenees of local families. We are requesting nonperishable items (e.gpasta, jarred/canned tomato sauce, canned vegetables, and paperproducts). We will be collecting your Halloween FoodDonations on Saturday, October 31st from 9:00AM to12:00PM at the Notre Dame Parish Center. Just pull up andthe Knights will help unload your drop-offs! 3) People ask: “Monsignor, how are we doing?” (IN OTHERWORDS: how’s the parish doing FINANCIALLY?) *1st Fiscal Quarter 2020: (July 1 to Sept. 30): $257,656.00*1st Fiscal Quarter 2019: (July 1 to Sept. 30): $270,436.00We are down $12,780 for 1st 3 months. That’s not bad, con-sidering the greatly reduced Mass attendance. BUT---If it contin-ues, we’ll be down more that $50,000 for the year--a real concern.*Yes---Tricky Tray just brought in $42,942. (With a 2nd TrickyTray in March 2021, we expect to be back over our budgeted$72,000.) The Good Ship Notre Dame is a big, big boat-- and ittakes a lot to keep her afloat! These deep divisionsare trying to take our focus away from God’s truth. What can youdo? Pray. Intercede for America and its leaders. Seek God’s provision and guidance over the United States,every state and county, every city, every Church, every home andevery polling place this election season. VOTING at Notre Dame on November 3rd! Notre DameChurch Hall IS a traditional voting location for public elections, formany years! Msgr. Tom has been in touch with Lehigh CountyElection Bureau, and they are working very hard to honor all ourconcerns about safe practices for voting. As of now, it looks verygood that we WILL be able to vote here. Social distancing andmasks will be the norm, and only 10 people will be allowed in thevoting area at any one time. Be prepared to wait OUTSIDE prior tovoting (dress appropriately). We will keep you informed, if thisshould change in any way!
