Failure to protect children from any inflicting situations is undeniable and a widespread universal crisis. This universal crisis states clearly a major violation of children’s rights and an unacceptable situation. It affects the community and the country’s goal to achieve the development objectives relating to child survival, health, education and even socio-economic growth. This issue must be given serious attention and immediate action, no matter how and what the cost is. The government is the one responsible in solving this predicament, hence, the Municipal Action Plan of this local government unit for the Protection of Children has been crafted. The main core of this plan is to prioritize the best interest of the children, protect them from any kind of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and discrimination and to ensure that their welfare i s safeguarded and promoted. Likewise, enable them to grow up free from any kind of violence and give them proper care, guidance and nutrition. Let us commit ourselves to protect every child from any harm, keep them safe, and promote their rights and welfare for “Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future” – John F. Kennedy
