What is high density? Why does it matter?
30+concurrent wireless clients per AP
Need more APs today to service the same
number of end users as yesterday.
(And the number of end users is rapidly growing!)

High density, high complexity
Technical challenges
Half-duplex halves performance of each active client
Finite number of non-overlapping channels limits usable spectrum
RF is an unbounded medium, so can’t control signal pathways or collisions
Additional SSIDs add RF overhead, contribute to interference
Sticky clients can ruin the experience for all

Powerful heuristics for smarter wireless troubleshooting
Meraki Wireless Health: A powerful heuristics engine that rapidly identifies anomalies impacting end users’ experience across every
stage of client connectivity — association, authentication, IP addressing, and DNS availability — for rapid root cause analysis and
response.
Quickly identify worst-performing access points & client devices, problematic latency, and specific failure reasons

But don’t just take our word for it
“The cloud features of Meraki and the plug-and-play installation
shaved at least a month off of our deployment cycle.”
— Chris Biggers, IT Manager at the Boutique Hotel Collection
“Meraki APs have fixed 99% of the wireless
errors we were having before.”— Jeff Pick, Director of Technology for Make-A-Wish America
“We had to pinch ourselves: ‘Is this really that simple?’”— Andrew McInerney, Data Network and Voice Manager at Penn Mutual
“In a few weeks we added 10,000 devices to the network and 300 Meraki APs,
roughly doubling the end user computing devices and significantly adding to the
wireless — all without hiring a single extra person.”
— John Krull, Chief Technology Officer for Oakland Unified School District

An antenna for any occasion
Internal (current indoor APs)
Wide 360 degree coverage Ideal for most carpeted offices.
A-Series Straight dipoles provide 360 degree coverage pattern
Ideal for low ceiling installations where wall penetration or extended reach are important.
B-Series Bendable dipole provides 360 degree coverage pattern
Ideal to deploy when AP is installed on walls tilted downwards, or best-effort deployments where APs are installed on uneven
surfaces or walls.
C-Series Panel omni. Aesthetically pleasing vs. dipoles
Ideal for low ceiling deployments or open areas, such as the ceiling in center of loading docks, warehouses, etc.
D-Series Panel downtilt omni. Aesthetically pleasing vs.
dipoles
Higher ceilings (25 ft+) with medium-density usage. If ceiling is too high, can be installed at an angle using arm mount.
E-Series Wide patch Wide coverage area for medium-density deployments in stadiums, warehouse, and auditoriums.
F-series Narrow patch Narrow coverage area for high-density deployments in areas like stadiums and auditoriums.
