Dear Sir/Madam,

Warm and Hearty Good Wishes to you all on the

occasion of the Dussehra and Bathukamma festivals!

May these festivals usher into your life a new colour,

brilliance, happiness and joy and also fulfil your long cherished

dreams during the course of the year.

Coming to the topic of our achievements and celebrations during the month of

August, first of all, we would like to heartily congratulate our Olympic and Para Olympic

winners who have brought a historic credit to our country on account of their scintillating

success on the World Stage. It is a thing of great pride and inspiration for all of us to note

that no hardship, no lack of resource, no poverty or adversity--- none, could stop them from

dreaming highly and achieving greatly. To place their great work on record and to inspire

our children by their example, we have also brought out a small video depicting their

achievements on the international arena.

Independence day celebrations: Following the same spirit of patronising the

nationalistic fervour, we have also celebrated our 75th Independence Day, (Azadi ka

Amrith Mahothsav), with a great pomp. It’s very difficult for our children to

understand in the present days what was meant by lack of freedom and lack of choice

when India was in bandage under a foreign rule. We should acknowledge our

indebtedness and deep gratitude to the freedom fighters who have sacrificed their

lives to make us breathe free air in our own mother land! In view of this, we have also

conducted many competitions in honour of our freedom fighters in order to

commemorate their great struggle & suffering for the sake of our country.

A Work shop on the rights and duties of the citizens was conducted in order to

acquaint our children with topics like gender- stereotypes, equity and equality, and

also their rights and duties as the future citizens of our country. This really helped the

children understand the myths surrounding these sensitive issues in the society

which is a very crucial thing during the adolescent stage.

Raksha Bandhan- The sacred bond of care and love between brothers and sisters and therelevant emotions on the occasion have been represented by our children through ThaliDecoration, Rakhi making, fireless cooking and making of greeting cards for their siblings. AtVignan, we give importance to our native traditions and culture and believe that our childrenshould be aware of the pious intentions behind them. Children were also made to understandthe value and importance of protecting nature, extending unconditional support to our fellowhuman beings and treating every plant/sapling/tree with care and affection. This workedwonders and children could be seen adopting an old or a new plant/tree near their houses andtying Rakhis to them as though they were committed to nurture them carefully through thefuture!!

Krishnaashtami- On the auspicious day of the birth of Lord Krishna, we gleaned many valuesfrom the life of Lord Krishna and instilled them among our children by engaging them in variouscompetitions like Sloka recitation, Bhajans, fancy dress, art and drawing etc. which were allguided and judged by ISKCON, Secunderabad. Winners and participants receivedacknowledgements and personalised awards from ISKCON directly. The dedication, devotionand faith displayed by our children through these activities was very much encouraging andappreciable.

Lastly, I would also like to congratulate all the children on their proudachievements and at the same time I would also look forward to seeing more personalisedarticles from them which should be very unique and special to themselves.

Lastly, let me thank you all, the parents, students and the staff for your heartiestgood wishes to me on my birthday.

countless struggles, priceless sacrifices, and efforts of our great leaders. Thanks to that, India is a powerful,

strong and free country in the world.

We have to fulfill our promises with our land. The destiny of our great land lies in the hands

of our youth. No doubt, we made progress in science, literature, medicine, astronomy, military, in arts and

architecture but still there remain a lot of goals. Let’s unite and work hard. Let’s make our country strong

and powerful.

Thanks to all the parents who gave overwhelming responses to all initiations. Looking

forward to bring many more such initiations in coming months that will definitely make our students!

every day their happiest day.
