Review of Manipal Institute of Technology.Placements: I haven't reached the placement stage yet, but I have heard a lot f rom ourseniors that Manipal Institute of Technology has decent placement salary packages. Manyof my peers are constantly partaking in internships to gain professional experience. Manycompanies visit here during campus placements. I think the average salary package of feredvaries around 8 LPA-10 LPA in our course.

Infrastructure: MIT gives an amazing experience to students, and the entire town is full oflife and activities. The campus is vast, and the food served in FC-2 is quite satisfactory.The important thing to note that is Manipal is af fordable than most metropolitan cities, soyou can enjoy guilt-f ree expenses. There are various sports in the Marena complex andoutside. Moreover, there are gyms as well as amazing dine-out places that you'll never gettired of . I am yet to try out many of such things.

Faculty: Some of the teachers here give real insightful knowledge, and learning f rom themis a pleasure. There are also some teachers who may explain, but you just can't rememberthe information for some reason. Like any private engineering college, exams are amplehere. Especially on campus, students are burdened with the tasks at hand. The clubs andvarious organisations give real knowledge to students and are eventually helpful in one wayor the other.

Other: I chose CSE because it has the most scope in today's world, and I lacked theknowledge for anything in particular. Overall, our college will certainly be a memorableexperience for any student. Other than that, it will depend only on you how you utilise it andyour experience. I suggest you utilise it the most, not just professionally but mentally aswell. Do what is good to you and do things at your own pace. Events are quite happening,and many popular celebrities visit here as guests. Manipal has an inf luential authority, andhence it doesn't hold back in organising magnif icent events. The atmosphere for students isamicable and good. I suggest you learn the most f rom your studies, and if you don'tunderstand something, search for it online. You will have better campus life in India here.


Best all round college in India.Placements: Great college with great placement record. Almost 90%+ students get placed.Average package is around 5-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Mercedes, Mahindra,Schneider, L&T, etc. 80%+ get and internship f rom course in many great companies.Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering is best.

Infrastructure: Great and well maintained labs, spacious and new technologies for learningin classrooms. Library is one of the biggest in Asia. Food in food court is better than mostother engineering colleges in India. Medical facilities include a separate student clinic inKasturba Hospital. You name a sport and you'll get opportunities to play in campus.

Faculty: Teachers brilliantly qualif ied and helpful. Easy to approach and willing to help.Teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is great and makes us industry ready. Endsemester exam is good only in of f line mode. Most of the people who study pass the exam.


MIT provides the best infrastructure and facilities.Placements: Around 50% of the students got placed in college. Most of them went for amaster's degree. Infrastructure: Facilities and inf rastructure available at MIT are excellent and the best whencompared to other colleges. It is a huge campus all around and you can hang around withf riends. They provide good hostel facilities for boys and girls. There are around 14 blocksfor MIT students. We have 2 food mess here in MIT, and the quality and quantity of foodserved is very good. The caretakers and chief wardens are very good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and caring for students. Most of them havedone their Ph.Ds. They teach us based on the course plan provided by the institute and theyget around 30-35 lectures for completing the syllabus. The teaching quality is very good.There are 5-course objectives for a subject and there are relevant topics. The semesterexams are dif f icult and you need to get above class average marks for good grades.

Other: I got around 13,000 ranks in Manipal Entrance Test and then I chose the aerobranch. The subjects are interesting and it is very updated. The course subjects make usfeel theoretical, but they should be more general. TechTatva is the annual fest here inManipal and it is held for a week. There are around 200 clubs including technical as well asnon-technical clubs.


A good college for all round development if you're focused.Placements: About 80 percent of students were placed. The highest package is 21 Lacsper annum and the lowest is 4 Lacs per annum. Average package is 6 Lacs per annum.Amazon and Deloitte are the main recruiters. 40 percent of students got internships f romcompanies like Hello intern. Project manager is the top role of fered.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Classrooms are fully furnished with Central AC. A widerange of book collection is available in library. All types of food is available in canteens. Wehave our own hospital for medical facilities. There is about 15 acres of cricket ground, 5volleyball courts, 1 football court and some atheltic grounds.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and cooperative. Teaching quality is excellent. Teachersare highly qualif ied. They are very interested in teaching and individual attention is given.The curriculum makes students industry ready.

Review of Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal.Placements: Most of the students get placed f rom our college. But students here prefer todo 3-4 months duration of nice internships. The highest salary package of fered may also beup to 50 LPA, while the lowest salary package of fered can be 2 LPA-3 LPA. Sometimesstudents are forced to attend placements by professors. Most of the companies put a cut-of f of 7 CGPA to attend placements. So, it is easy to attend placements.

Infrastructure: Our college has an amazing inf rastructure, be it in the hostel or academicblocks. Some of the facilities available here are 24x7 air-conditioners, cleaners, electricity,water and medical facilities. Sports facilities are available for 12 hours. Good food is servedin the canteens and messes for 24x7, but it is expensive.

Faculty: Some teachers here are nice, while some are not. Sometimes it depends on howyou behave with the teachers. Mostly teachers are helpful and well knowledgeable, but notevery intelligent teacher can teach the same things in which they are good. Some teachersare arrogant also.

Other: Fests organised here are amazing, and our college provides exposure to everything.


It is a good college with decent placements.Placements: Placements in industrial production engineering are very low. Most of thestudents opt for higher education or business. Whereas, the placements in other branchesare concerned. There are a lot of opportunities, if students stand out, they could get greatplacements.

Infrastructure: This college has one of the best inf rastructures in the country. Our hostelsare very comfortable and with variety of options. The mess and other extracurricularactivities are top-notch. Medical facilities are also provided. They own a medical college anda chain of hospitals, so this is not a problem either.

Other: This college has one of the best campus crowds and students have a good life.Each day is a new experience for students and has the opportunity to develop themselves.


It is the best college. I am totally satisfied with it.Placements: Around 80% of the students were placed f rom our course. The highest salarypackage of fered was around 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package of fered was 3.5 LPA.Bosch, L&T, Siemens, Finolex and IT companies like Microsof t, Amazon, Flipkart,Capgemini, etc., visit here for placements. About 70% of the students got internships,including international paid internships. Consultant, managers and analysts roles wereof fered.

Infrastructure: The inf rastructure and facilities are the best here. MIT Manipal providesworld-class facilities, which none of the other colleges can provide. The quality of the food,rooms, Wi-Fi services and libraries provided here is very nice. The mess, library andclassrooms are air-conditioned. Air-conditioned hostels are also available, and students canopt for them according to their choice. Medical facilities are available for f ree of cost, andKMC takes care of that. Along with that, an ambulance works 24x7. The caretaker in everyhostel block also takes care of students and helps them whenever they need anything.

Faculty: The faculty members here are very nice and helpful. They treat us like their childrenand help us in all possible ways. They not only help us in academics but also take care ifany student faces any dif f iculty. Specif ic teacher guardians are appointed for every 10students whom we can approach for help in anything, be it related to studies or any otherproblem we face in the college and the new city.

Other: MIT Manipal is the best college. Soon af ter joining here, you would realise that youcouldn't get a better college than this. Students, faculty members and all are awesome here.The college is worth the money.



The college has amazing sports facilities, decent infrastructure, but it is notworthy.Placements: The placement in this college depends on the cumulative grade point average(CGPA) that is obtained during 6 semesters (the placement occurs during the 7thsemester). MIT Manipal has a placement cell that is quite ef f icient and manages to get manyMNCs and giants like Amazon, Microsof t, Shell etc. The only thing is students need to haveat least CGPA of 6 (without any backlogs of course) to even register for placements. Insome departments, even 6.5 is not enough to get placed. If you want to appear for writtentest for companies that pay reasonably well (i.e. Amazon, Shell, Reliance etc.). At least 7 isdemanded. The package varies f rom as low as 3 LPA to even 18 or 20 LPA. The average isaround 4.5 LPA. Many companies do come here to pick up interns here for the 8thsemester. The stipend is quite reasonable (around 10-12k) depending on the company. Theplacement cell does pretty decent job in getting companies here and manages the placementprocess smoothly. Many students and faculty members are involved in this process and arequite helpful in the placement season.

Infrastructure: There are f ive academic buildings where classes are held, but only one ofthem (NLH) have decent classrooms which are meant only for f irst-year students. Most ofthe laboratories are under-equipped and equipment as old as 1969 manufactured are stillused in the chemical department. The centralized library is spacious and provides seatingfor as many as 900 students at a time but many chairs and tables are broken, and airconditioning system in some parts of the library doesn't work sometimes. Though MITManipal has KMC hospital nearby, it is out of the campus, and students of ten have to go byrickshaw to reach there. There is no medical dispensary or at least a clinic within thecampus. The campus has amazing sports facilities with a tennis court, a basketball court, acricket ground, a hockey ground and a football ground. They have done a great job at leastin this part. Many sports competition are conducted throughout the year and get a lot ofcrowd for it. The canteens are quite clean, hygienic and provide good food for thereasonable amount of money, but the price for juice is inordinately high (20 rupees for asmall glass of lemon juice). There are many eateries throughout the campus and are atwalkable distance f rom hostels. The block 1 to block 6 (girls' and boy's hostel) are quitedecent and old-fashioned and accommodates 2 students per room, but common bathroomsare cleaned regularly. Block 7 and 8 are girls hostel (it might be converted to boy's hostel in2018-19) which has attached bathroom facility, and some of the rooms have an airconditioner. Block 9 is boy's hostel which is attached bathroom with 2 students per room.


The block 10 has single, double and triple accommodation facility with common bathroom(which are the dirtiest among all) as well as a single attached bathroom facility. Block 14 to22 are furnished rooms with all of them having attached bathroom and are most expensiveamong all others. Many of those rooms have air conditioning facilities and are well-maintained.

Faculty: The faculty members are not up to the mark, and there are still faculty membersthat have just passed the M.Tech, and many of them have PhDs. Though they are helpfuloutside, but their classroom teaching is abysmal and very few of them know how to teachand engage properly with students. The student-faculty ratio has worsened each year withthe increase in intake of students. There are few classrooms in the 1st year where as manyas 100 students. There are minimum 90 students in each classroom in the f irst year. Due tothis, the laboratory course is being conducted in odd timings like between 11 am to 2 pmwhich usually consists of lunch break. The mechanical branch has got it worse with as manyas 280 students who are divided into 4 subsections. The situation is similar to computerscience branch with as many as 240 students. The course curriculum was not up to date,and many of the things are taught in the classrooms are not useful in industries (at least inChemical Engineering Department). Though once or twice a year, few industry experts tocome here for their lectures (at least in Chemical department) and manage to do a good jobin explaining the situation of industry and guide students.

Other: 2 fests are conducted within an academic year, Techtatva (technical fest) andRevels (cultural fest). Only cultural fest manages to get a good amount of crowd, Techtatvafails to get any outside crowd. There are many technical and artistic clubs available forstudents other than academics. The student life here is quite liberal, and LGBT rally hasbeen organised in the college. The campus has a good ambience, many trees, and dif ferentvarieties of birds can be spotted. The scholarships are provided only at the time ofadmission and not during the course.
