Workshop Overview
Scope:
90-minute live demo workshop with real world scenario for BDM audience
Customers experience a small business scenario live in M365
Initial workshop focused on M365 Business Premium with Teams Essentials coming soon!
Requires minimum 5 customers; recommended 10 maximum
This is flexible - execute in-person or virtual as you prefer
Scripted facilitator experience in pre-built demo M365 tenant
Packaged experience provides partners:
Customer invitation and pre-event questionnaire
Provisioned demo tenant through CDX platform
Facilitator step-by-step script and supporting slideware in MCAP
Post-event customer survey and follow up guidance
Available in English, German, Brazil Portuguese, LATAM Spanish, with Japanese and French coming soon!
Customer eligibility
Commercial customer orgs (not Education, non-profit or public sector entities)
Microsoft Unmanaged SMB segment – seat sizes 1-300(Customers must not have a parent organization that is classed as larger than SMB.)
Customers must not already have Microsoft Business Basic, Standard or Premium subscriptions for their organization. (This event is not planned as a form of training for customers that already have subscriptions before the date of the workshop.)
(OK to have on-premises / full licensed versions of other MS software e.g. Office 2016, Windows etc.)
This is intended to drive new customer acquisition into the SMB segment.It is not aimed at upsell motions from existing Basic or Standard versions.
Validation on customer eligibility occurs at POE stage (permitting last minute changes to customer org and attendee plan).
An event is eligible to claim payment if 5 or more customer orgs are present in the delivery (minimum 1 attendee per customer org).
It is recommended slightly more than 5 customer orgs attend an event to ensure the minimum number of 5 eligible customers is achieved to secure payment.
It is expected 10 attendees maximum is optimum for any workshop.
Out of scope
Customer Pilots or labsDemos may be conducted within the readiness sessions, but customer pilots and/or labs must be conducted as separate engagements.
Transition plan to Microsoft 365This workshop will not provide assessment or planning activities and/or development of a roadmap to Microsoft 365. These will be part of a 1:1 follow-up activity as desired by each customer.
Partner Engagement
Partner Gets:
$1500 incentive at completion of each event with proof of execution
$500 additional incentive if customer purchases license or activates trial within 30 days
Partner Gives:
Ask to execute first workshop within 1 month of commitment to Microsoft and ramp to run regular event series
Provide Microsoft quarterly post event reporting of event attendees trial activations and M365 downloads
Provide Microsoft feedback to improve workshop
Funding details
Post event a partner submits an invoice for
$2,000
$1,500is payable when 5 or more eligible customers have been validated to be in attendance
$500is available if evidence can be provided within 30 days of a SKU purchase was made or a trial was activated after the event. This can include closing the sale of several SKUs.
If evidence of a single trial activation or SKU purchase(s) from any customer attendee is not provided within 30 days of the event date, where 5 or more customers were validated as attending – a new invoice will be required and a payment of $1500 only can be made.

• Keeping track of any activated trial sku or purchases as a
result of the workshop
• Accurate reporting will help us continue to invest and secure
funding for partner programs.
