Phillips screwdriver

Microfibre towel

Fender cover

Replacement: air filter – Ford Mondeo Mk3 saloon.AUTODOC recommends:

REPLACEMENT: AIR FILTER – FORD MONDEO MK3 SALOON.RECOMMENDED SEQUENCE OF STEPS:

Open the hood.

Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the partoperation provided by the manufacturer.

All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use a Phillips screwdriver.

Loosen the fastening clamp connecting the air duct to the air filter housing. Use a drive

socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench.

Detach the air duct housing from the air filter housing.

Take off the filter lid.

Replacement: air filter – Ford Mondeo Mk3 saloon. Do not useexcessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.

Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the

system.

Remove the filter element from the filter housing.

Clean the air filter cover and housing.

Replacement: air filter – Ford Mondeo Mk3 saloon.AUTODOC experts recommend:

Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the

housing.

Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air ductparts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a cleancloth.

Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.

Replacement: air filter – Ford Mondeo Mk3 saloon. Be sure toposition the filtering element correctly. Avoid misalignment.

Take care to only use quality filters.

During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from gettinginto the air filter housing.

Install the air duct housing.

Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.
