Kastil AvindoSing to the Dawn, or Meraih Mimpi, by Infinite Frameworks, is one of theatrical musical animated feature to reach Indonesia, and acts as a key innovator of the entertainment industry.

The piece was released in 2009 to an audience eager to see something fresh and new in the Indonesian animation scene. The content of the story is a marvel. The main character, a girl named Dana, attains a scholarship to study in a prestigious school in „the big city. Her father, assuming that she would be giving that scholarship away to her brother, was rather unpleasantly surprised to learn that she had every intention of taking this opportunity to go and further her own education. Meanwhile, Dana learns of a diabolical plot, which entails destroying their village in order to build a giant, gaudy casino. The movie proceeds with several catchy songs, ending with Dana and her comrades managing to obtain the rights to the village and saving everyone. This gains her fathers approval and acceptance of her plan to go and study in the city. Sing to the Dawn was welcomed into the country with only slightly picky reviews, claiming the animation was slightly odd and stiff in sequences (Thee).

The quirky, upbeat-ness of the main plot also had the tendency to overshadow the true nature of the film, which should have been the plot content and the rights of the main character, Dana, in obtaining a higher education. The addition of flashy pop music was a design decision gone awry.
