The DUROCUT milling system works with negative and la-minated PCBN inserts and enables plain milling of harde-ned parts.Milling tool and cutting inserts are equipped with a new and patented indexation system. The peripheral cutting edge ist therefore clearly divided in eight cutting segments. The indexation of the insert to a new cutting segment is simpler, faster and practice-oriented.

The INDICUT milling system is equipped with round cera-mic inserts. The milling tool is designed for roughing and semi finishing tasks of GIL (GG) and GJS (GGG) compo-nents with highest cutting data. Sixteen cutting edges per insert are at disposal. This milling system is as well pow-ered by our new patented indexation system. Thanks to this system, the peripheral cutting edge is clearly divided in eight cutting segments. New cutting segements can be assigned easier and expeditiously.

ROUGH MILLING WITH

The HEXACUT milling system is equipped with posi- tive cutting inserts with six cutting edges per insert. The positive rake angle ensures lower passive forces and an easier cutting process. Roughing and semi finishing of thin-walled workpieces or bridges is possible with high depth of cut.

ALL ADVANTAGES AT A GLANCE:

Cutting depth of ap = 5.5 mm achievable when milling GJL (GG) and GJS (GGG) with high machining speed using ceramic inserts.

Cutting speed up to vc = 1200 m/min. Feed per tooth up to 0.3 mm. Available milling tool diameter from 80 mm up to 160 mm. Positive rake angle: axial +7°, radial +3°. Low passive- and cutting forces.

FINE FINISHING WITH

Robust system by prismatic guide of the cartridge in the high-strength aluminium body. No backlash in the axial run-out setting of the cartridges. Position of the cartridges and set values will be kept exactly. Cartridges for fine finishing fitting SCHX wiper geometries produce excellent surface qualities. Low axial forces. Best flatness of the workpiece.

The high-performance CARTFIN car tridge finishing milling cutter is the finishing expert for semi finishing and fine fi-nishing. The CARTFIN produces surface qualities with an Ra value up to 0.5 μm with fine finishing. The geometrical design of the milling cutter produces a low axial cutting force, achieving optimal flatness of the workpiece. The CARTFIN is therefore not just the first choice in a stab-le overall situation, but also in less favourable conditions, such as with thin-walled or less robust workpieces that can be clamped. The CARTFIN can be fitted with cutting inserts made of ceramic, PCBN and Cermet. This multitude of cut-ting materials makes the CARTFIN suitable for a wide ran-ge of applications in order to give workpieces made of GJL (GG) and GJS (GGG) an optimum burr-free finish thanks to the insert geometries.
