The transformer

Atransformerchangesthesizeofanalternatingvoltage. Itdoesthisbyhavingdifferentnumbersofturnsontheinputandoutputsides.

Whenthere isalternatingcurrent inacoil, themagnetic fieldaround itchangescontinuously.Asthesizeofthecurrentinthecoilincreases,thefieldgrows.
