Momtaz yoga center is the only center that endeavors to satisfy the needs of women and promotes wellbeing and healthy lifestyle.

To introduce yoga for everyone concern about exercise and wellbeing as the ultimate way and to bring change in people’s lifestyle. Most of all, we are striving to make an institute of yoga to serve this field as a resource center for Afghanistan.

We provide yoga classes to every individual, from every age group, in any physical or mental situation and from every gender to promote wellbeing and better lifestyle.

THE HISTORY

The CEO of the Company Mrs. Ibrahimi Momtaz is a profound trainer of Yoga in Afghanistan. Fakhria Ibrahimi Momtaz has been providing yoga-training opportunities for Afghan women and girls in Kabul since 2005 to help them overcome stress and improve their psychological and mental health.

Fakhria had immense ability and interest in stretching and gymnastic since childhood. Her parents took notice of her abilities and tried to encourage her by providing resources and necessities. Fakhria continued her career in medical science for three years of her bachelor program during her immigration period in Pakistan. However, the three years of medical studies and the knowledge of physiology and anatomy of human body was extremely helpful for her to pursue her yoga training in a more fundamental and professional way. It has been 10 years that Fakhria devoted herself to professional training of yoga and she is now regarded as a professional yoga trainer in Afghanistan.

Yoga has never been alien to us. We have been doing it since childhood ages! Whether it is the Cat Stretch that strengthens the spine or the Wind-Relieving pose that boosts digestion, even the simple act of crossed lagged sitting, you will always find infants doing some form of yoga throughout the day. Yoga can be many things to many people.

YOGA

Yoga is one of the exercise that has a history of five hundred years. The yoga poses are designed so that an individual get in to the path of evolution and all his/her body parts coordinates to achieve the goal. The breathing techniques in yoga helps us to intake large amount of energy and to us it combat physical and psychological problems or the meditation practices help us increase our concentration and improve our memory and learning ability. One of the benefits of yoga is that it is a genuine sport and it is highly beneficial for everyone regardless of their age and gender.

Our body itself is not unfamiliar of yoga. Since we were in cradle, we all used to stretch our hands and legs and bend our head downwards to eliminate our tiredness, unaware of the fact that we have been practicing yoga.

Yoga has three major forms and the Hatha yoga or Physical Yoga is the most known one. Hatha Yoga is poses for different parts of our body like stretching and pausing and restarting the poses with the breathing techniques with high concentration. Hatha Yoga is the collection of poses and positions that is called Asanas, Breathing techniques called Pranayama and mental healing trainings of Pratyhara.

Helps increase strength in muscles including specific or muscle group

Reduces tension in stress-carrying muscle

Increases blood flow, allowing nutrients to flow in, toxins to flow out, and overall nourishment of the muscles and soft tissues in the lower back.

Helps maintain the natural curvature of the spine to reduce or avoid lower back pain

Increased awareness of the body which help people to understand the limitation of their body which can act as a preventive measure which help individual to know what types of motions should and should not be avoided

Increases oxygen flow to the brain and sets a rhythm within the body and mind.

The most commonly practiced form of yoga is Hatha yoga. A physical form, Hatha yoga incorporates a series of poses called Asanas, while relying on a breathing technique, referred to as Pranayama. By adopting very basic and sometimes very complex body postures and breathing techniques, the goal of yoga is to provide the practitioner a number of physical and mental benefits.

In our yoga center there will also be customized services for different categories of our customers under the umbrella of Yoga Classes, some of them are as below:

Exercise classes in areas of Yoga Aerobics, Zumba, Fitness, and gymnastic

The restaurant where we serve organic drinks, different herbal tees, energizing breakfasts, fresh juices and different organic foods with adequate amounts carbohydrates, fat, proteins, minerals and vitamins. These foods are selected according to the changing test of athletes and yoga practitioners because once one starts doing exercise; their food test automatically changes and improves.

Child-care services that has three categories:

First, hourly childcare for the kids of all our customers participating in our different programs, so that they could carry on their work carefree

Second, childcare and look after services either part-time or full time

Third, providing hourly educational programs and classes in different fields like music, drawing, theater, handcrafts etc.

Psychological counselling services

Library and lab and free Wi-Fi

Having book reading competitions to promote culture of reading in youth and females

Undertaking vocational training courses and classes of skills development, professional trainings, and culture awareness and promotion

Having cultural events to promote national cultures and traditions

Though Yoga doesn’t have any age or gender prerequisite, we focus on taking the benefits of Yoga to the following target group:

Women interested in sports and exercise

Working women or housewives

Young women concern about their skin and youth and personality building

Women in specific situation like pregnant women, after delivery and feeding stages, special stages of after back and neck surgeries

Women going through depression

Women who face sexual problems after child delivery

Children for increasing their memory

In special cases, women in shelters and girls and children from orphanages

Hospitals and health centers will be our partners and we will work with them by providing yoga therapy services to their patients

Educational organizations will be our other major partner that we will approach and give yoga and fitness services to students and staff
