FEW Indicies (NDVI...etc) in ERDAS software using model maker

INDICES(USING MODEL MAKER)

Run ERDAS Click on “Modeler” from tools. Click on “Model Maker”. New model window will appear.

Use the given tool box shown below to draw a model.

NDVI (NORMALISED DIFFERENCE VEGETATION INDEX)

The model should be build as shown.

NDVI=(B4-B3)/(B4+B3)

$n1_lis2poanta(4) contains the following formula.

Arithmetic functions are used.

For n6_memory, n5_memory and n7_memory, “Temporary Raster Only” option is selected.

Output of NDVI, where vegetation features are highlighted.

NDWI (NORMALISED DIFFERENCE WATER INDEX)


NDWI=(B2-B4)/(B2+B4)

NDTI (NORMALISED DIFFERENCE TURBIDITY INDEX)


NDTI=(B1-B2)/(B1+B2)
