The NSS team organised a Tree Plantation Drive on the occasion of “World Environment day” as a

event “Green legacy” on 05th June, 2021. Total number of participantsfor this event were 25. This

event took place from 05th June onwards. For this event participants had to contribute to

environment by planting trees by following these steps:

o Accepting the challenge & planting at least one sapling.

o Take a picture while planting and post it on Instagram story by taging nss Instagram

handle @nss_dit.

o Also mentioning friends whomever we want to nominate.

o Use a tag #greenary_challenge.

This event had a huge amount of participation from the whole NSS team as well as from the

college students and their friends. All the participants enjoyed the event.

The NSS team organised a YOGA FOR WELLNESS event on the occasion of “International Yoga

Day”. The event was organized on 20th June’ 21. The total numbers of participation were 79. It was

decided to invite Dr. Yogita Atul Gaikwad and Shabdali Shrotri as Chief Guests in the event. The

event started on 20th June, at 8 am on google meet platform. This event was scheduled for 2

hours from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. The invited guests performed different Asanas and described the

importance of Yoga and physical fitness in regular life. All the NSS team members participated in

the event with great enthusiasm and energy. The NSS team took feedback from all the

participants about the event at the end.
