2021 Annual Report

Digital is the New Normalcy In last year's annual report, I ended the letter with "In 2021 we will see the “D” in DOT come alive: we will see digital, live digital, offer digital, and impact with digital."

2021 proved to us that we are back to normalcy but adapting digital in our every day life be it from socializing, shopping, learning, working, and even traveling. Our fear of digital on a community, partnership, operational level was overcome, we adopted tools to adjust our business mindsets while prioritizing our core organization values (innovate, inclusive, connect, transform).

New journeys were introduced by the team, our DT by DOT Lebanon, a digital transformation framework to support institutions (NGOs, cooperatives and SMEs) in building a digital culture within their organization as we believe.

Our Learning Management System that will be launched in 2022, supports youth to access our digitized and gamified content in self-paced, blended and instructor led learning environments. Youth will be exposed to the concepts of 21st century skills and self learning while using their metacognitive skills which we stress on, in all our learning journeys.

A Journey of GrowthOver the past 3 years (2019-2021) DOT Lebanon set its development strategy with objectives covering its operations, service quality, partnership and personnel building, communications and visibility enhancement.

Although our beloved country was, and is still facing an unprecendented economic crisis, social challenges, and a global pandemic, DOT Lebanon's Senior Management Team was able to put a mitigation plan in place allowing the organization to pursue its mission and impact more communities. Today we're proud to share some of our 3-year achievements up to December 2021.

DOT Lebanon’s LearningManagement SystemDOT Lebanon's Learning Management System (LMS) features our curricula in a digitized and gamified format.

Available in English and Arabic, the learning content is developed according to the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) competencies framework.

Learners can be enrolled in specific courses, and will be exposed to many types of resources which will allow them to create their own learning path and assess their skills and acquired knowledge.

The learning material is designed as a self-paced model. However, it caters for synchronous and asynchronous learning. Learners have the choice to enroll in self-paced or instructor-led courses.

The LMS also enables DOT Lebanon's trainers to live-monitor the users' progress, by tracking their grades, enrollment, and reports. In addition, a mobile application is under development to allow learners to download and access their learning material offline.
