Divine Message

The cosmos is the creation of the Divine. It is surcharged with energy. This energy is not localized at a particular point in space or time.

Even though this energy is all-pervading, man remains unable to recognize its divine

nature. As he cannot recognize it, he presumes that it does not exist.

Electrical energy flows continuously in the wires. However its presence is recognized only when a bulb is fitted and switched on. Likewise though God is omnipresent, His

Divine Effulgence will shine only in those who adore Him with a pure heart.

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Kerala.

Foreword from the State President,

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Kerala.

“Nature is Godʹs vesture. The Universe is the “university” for man. Man should treat nature with reverence. He has no right to talk of conquering nature or exploiting the force of nature. He must proceed to visualize

in nature its God.”

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

(Sathyam Sivam Sundaram Volume 4, p.55)

Aum Sri Sairam

Loving Sai Ram to all of you.

It is said that ’NATURE IS THE BEST TEACHER’. Nature, immaculately follows the laws and rhythm of creation, selflessly offers her resources to humanity without any expectations, renews herself ceaselessly

and she is ever beautiful in whatever form she assume!!! Nature is considered as the true manifestation

of God.

Blessed by nature in every form, the State of Kerala, affectionately called as ‘God’s Own Country’ in the month of August 2018 witnessed one of the worst floods in its history. Twelve out of 14 districts were

affected. More than 450 human lives were lost and resulted in destruction valued at more than Rs 25,000

crore. During the period of rescue and relief, there were stories of worries, threat, courage, compassion,

confusion, despair and generosity!

Right from day one, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Kerala State leaped into action to help the needy

and affected. Our Sevadal volunteers played major role in both rescue and relief operations. Disaster

Management team worked nonstop in rescuing multitudes trapped in their submerged homes and with

Swami’s infinite grace, they could rescue nearly 1600 people who were stranded in different districts.

1810 Sathya Sai workers worked ceaseless in various relief camps and flood hit areas. 43800 flood-hit

victims have benefitted from their dedicated service.

It is with great humility that the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations lovingly distributed Rs 1.40 Crores worth

basic necessities to their suffering brethren throughout Kerala since the disaster struck.

However, it also witnessed a unique phenomenon; a learning of lifetime - humanity standing in support

of Kerala, truly exemplifying divine masters words ‘to believe in brotherhood of man and fatherhood of god’.

Let me take this opportunity to place on record the unstinted support and guidance received from our

beloved All India President, Sri Nimesh Pandiyaji, Sri Kodeswar Raoji, National Cooridinator, SSSVIP and

State Presidents across all states in rescue, relief and rehabilitation of affected victims.

“Nature is God’s vesture. The Universe is the “university” for man. Man should treat nature with reverence. He has no right to talk of conquering nature or exploiting the force of nature. He must

proceed to visualize in nature its God.”

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Kerala.

No words could explain or reciprocate the kindness and hand holding received from them Sri Sathya Sai

Central Trust. Trust members with all their care and concern provided all moral support to us. Our

heartfelt gratitude from the brothers and sisters of Kerala.

It was on 30th May 1976 that our divine master’s holy feet and touched the soil of Srisailam, in Kozhikode

District in Kerala. With immense grace of Swami, Sri Sathya Sai Trust Kerala, Sri Sathya Sai Seva

Organisation Kerala and the devotees of Kerala could construct a Memorial 'Sai Smriti' on the holy spot.

'Sai Smriti' was inaugurated Sri. Nimish Pandyaji All India President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation on

4th October 2018 and the installation of Swami's Photo and consecration of Swami’s Padukas was performed by Sri.R.Ratnakar, Member, SriSathyaSai Central Trust, Puttaparthi.

With the mission to become near and dear to divinity during 2018 with His grace, witnessed a number of

important events.

2018 was declared as E.H.V. year and through out the state we could arrange sessions for

teachers, parents and students with lead speakers invited by hundreds of institutions for these

sessions.

Being the 16th year of the conduct of essay competition, nearly 35000 students from more than

1500 institutions participated.

During this year there is much growth in SSSVIP activities, we could go deeper reaching more

needy people.

RVTC programme: we will be having 25 new centres and many have already started.

Disaster Management programme covered more students this year.

As in the previous years, we had Prathi yatra of media persons, advocates, Sai youth and SSSVIP

members.

Now, with His grace, SSSSO is embarking on a housing project in Alleppey district. We are planning

to construct a minimum of 108 houses.

Also to install R.O.water plants in different places.

Knowing fully that Swami alone is the REAL DOER, we place ourselves at the Divine Lotus Feet, with hearts

full of love and gratitude, for this wonderful opportunity to ‘LOVE ALL AND SERVE ALL’

Submitting to Divine Lotus Feet,

Forward from the Convener,

Board of Trustees, Sri Sathya Sai Trust,

Kerala. Aum Sri Sai Ram,

It gives me immense pleasure to present the report of Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Kerala.

May 30th 1976 will forever be etched in the memory of Srisailam. It was the eventful date when Bhagavan

Baba’s divine paadam set foot on the soils of the Srisailam campus. The location from where he addressed his beloved devotees and laid the foundation stone for the school became hallowed ground. This event

has been celebrated annually from then.

After he left his physical body, there was an ardent desire amongst the devotees that a monument to

commemorate the visit be erected. All India President, SSSO, Sri Nimish Pandya also requested that

monuments be erected on land wherever Swami had set foot which and was in possession of the various

Trusts in India. This concretized the plans for the monument. The bhoomi pooja for the monument was

performed on 25th October 2017.

Efforts are on to improve the educational standards of the school. We now have a fully functional

Computer Lab. We have also digitized the classrooms. The students also faired extremely well in Sports

and gained many honors for the school on this front. The PTA has also been helpful in coming with

suggestions to enable a smooth functioning of the school.

I look forward to working closely with the teachers, staff, students and parents to take the school to even

greater heights.

On the projects front, the Trust, along with SSSO, Kerala, set up 26 RO plants in locations across the state

to ensure safe drinking water to the public under the banner of ‘Prem Dhara’ project. 550 patients were given free dialyses under the aegis of the Kidney Dialyses project. The Trust, along with the SSSO, Kollam

have also started a scholarship program to give financial support to needy students.

The Shornur Primary Health Care Centre continues to provide succor to needy patients under the watchful

eye of Dr. Anandamohan. Nearly 3000 patients were treated and a total of 56 cataract surgeries were

performed. A separate report is provided on its activities.

2. SAI LOVE IN ACTION – FLOOD RELIEF PROJECT

The state of Kerala has been going through a tough and challenging time. The state and its people

witnessed worst and devastating floods that shook their life in August 2018 – many lost their homes,

vehicles and all they have built and saved through their lives. Most unfortunately, the floods took away

the lives of over 300 people and more than 2 lakh people were displaced.

Even as the worst floods and deluge of this century threatened to engulf Kerala, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva

Organisation, came forward undaunted to lend a helping hand to their brothers and sisters in need.

The members of the organisation have been working round the clock nonstop along with many since day

one of this calamity in all the 14 districts of Kerala. Holding fast to the Mahamantra that ‘Service to Man is Service to God’ the Sri Sathya Sai workers were able to visit the relief camps and render all possible help. The Sri Sathya Sai Seva workers were not only able to rescue flood hit victims from their submerged

homes but also to provide basic necessities in the relief camps.

Distribution of various kinds of kits

Kits containing immediate basic necessities have been distributed in the relief camps and disaster hit

zones also. The kits contained clothing, bed sheets, study materials, sanitation items, blankets and food

items.

4000 such kits have already been distributed all over Kerala spanning the 14 districts.

For all that our beloved Swami has been teaching us over many years, SSSSO, Kerala had to rise up to the

situation to help the people in need. With Swami’s infinite grace and blessings, we could render seva to thousands of people across the length and breadth of Kerala.

and Rehabilitation.

Our Disaster Management (DM) team sprung into action in all flood affected areas. DM team from

Tamilnadu took no time to reach these areas and joined us for rescue operations. Disaster Management

teams of Tamil Nadu and Kerala have jointly worked diligently and nonstop in rescuing multitudes trapped

in their submerged homes in Kozhikode, Pathanamthitta and Kottayam districts. The rescued were then

taken to the different relief camps to stay. The Disaster Management team had worked in the worst hit

areas like Pandalam, Kumarakom, Kattipara, Thamarassery and Koduvally with small life boats to evacuate

people.

Tamilnadu lead by Sri. Suresh Raja from Rajapalapalam joined hands with Sevadals of Pathanamthitta

District and they could save 13 lives at Kaippattoor and helped to save 24 persons.

Stage-II: Rehabilitation and caring

The major parts of the district have seriously affected by flood. Since a large number affected persons

were in the relief camps, we concentrated in the supply of food materials, cloths, drinking water, sanitary

items and other needy items, for those in the camps as well as in the houses.

Primary Health Care Centre (SSSPHCC). The working of the clinic is in a very systematic and sophisticated

way with equipment’s like E.C.G system.

Our prayer to Swami is to bless us to start such clinics in all the fourteen districts before the 95th Birthday
