• Established “Solar Cell Applications Research Lab”. where fabrication and characterization of

different kinds of solar cells especially Organic Solar Cell is being investigated.

• Established a Material Science/Nano-Technology Research Laboratory where Electrical, Thermal,

and Magnetic Properties of different materials are being studied at variable environments, while

Optical and Mechanical Properties are being studied at Room Temperature.

• 54 M.Phil Theses in the field of Nano-Science and Nanotechnology, High Temperature

Superconductors and Material Science have been produced so far, while 10 are in progress.

• 1 Ph.D. (completed), 3 Ph.D. Thesis (submitted for evaluation), 3 Ph.D’s are enrolled at present,

while 06 M.Phil. students are enrolled in the field of Nano Science/Solar Energy

• Newly installed X Ray Diffractometer (XRD), Low Temperature Differential Scanning

Calorimeter (DSC) and High Temperature Differential Scanning Calorimeter /Thermo-Gravimetric

Analyzer (DSC/TGA), Solar Simulator with I-V Measurement Set-up, and Photo spectrometer are

extensively being used in our experiments.

2. Sept. 1992 - Sept. 1996, University of Durham (U.K.), in development of the AC Technique to measure the

Specific Heat of Superconductors in High Magnetic Fields.

3. Sept. 1988 - Sept. 1990, Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, (Pakistan) in fabrication and characterization of
