twin cities Melbourne is the first hostel of “twin cities hostels” project implemented by llc “workstel”. the idea was gelled in the spring of 2015, in the year of 70th anniversary of victory in the second world war. this event has inspired us to create the project con-cept based on the movement of twin-cities, which arose in 1944.

within the scope of twin cities hostels project, we aspire to unite citizens of different countries on the basis of twinning movement and to make hostels of twin cities network a space for international communication.

Note: twin-cities are cities which established constant friendly relations for mutual studying of life, history, and culture, as well as for cooperation in various spheres.

*The hostel hosted the first visitors on January, 26th, 2016, on the Day of Australia.

we believe that strengthening of friendly connections between citizens of different countries became topical again, because the political situation in the world has worsened crimea joined russia in 2014. unfortunately, this significant event for all russians has negatively affected the image of our country and its citizens at the international level. communication and co-creativity will help to close this gap. therefore, it is important to create spaces and conditions for them.
