Synthetic dyesSensient Cosmetic Technologies has a complete range of synthetic colors manufactured to the highest standards for

the cosmetic market. They include FD&C, D&C and Ext. D&C dyes but also EC food dyes in powder form. Thanks to the

undisputed leadership of Sensient group in synthetic colors, our products are designed to unlock valuable opportu-

nities, provide optimum performance and present superior solutions for cosmetic formulations. The product ranges, Uni-

cert-J, Dyes-C, Phat and EC food dyes, contain synthetic water-soluble and oil-soluble colors conforming to cosmetic

color regulations.

Natural dyesSensient Cosmetic Technologies presents NatpureCol, a range of specialty natural dyes from vegetal renewable

sources.All the products meet purity criteria and characteristics set by the Food Regulation 231/2012/EC. Com-

bining the expertise and application know-how in natural colors, Sensient offers superior products with respect to

stability, quality and safety.

Association with color protectorsWe recommend the use of color protectors to overcome frequent light stability issues occuring in formulation. Sen-

sient offers a wide range of color protectors adapted to different kind of applications (Covabsorb, Covabsor DS,

Covabsorb EW, Sensisorb CF +).

Unicert-J for a global complianceUnicert-J range is the first generationof colors in compliance with European, American, Japanese and Chinese cosmetic regulations.

These dyes are manufactured internationally by Sensient Technologies in Mexico, Europe and the USA. A

sample from every manufactured batch is submitted to the Color Certification Branch of the FDA who certifies the

compliance with the defined specifications. UNICERT-J batches are then specially selected for their additional com-

pliance with the European Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009/EC (Food Regulation 231/2012/EU for the food grades)

while also conforming to the specifications given by the Japanese and Chinese regulations. To insure regulatory

compliance,SensientCosmeticTechnologies performs supplementaryanalyses and controls, not imposed by the FDA, but specified in

the mentioned cosmetic regulations.

Superior batch to batch consistencyWe guarantee a global color difference rE<1.2 units for all batches of a given item when compared to the standard

sample. This assessment is valid when performed under test method 10-126 which will be sent upon request.

Superior ChromaAll items have the highest possible color purity (also called chroma or saturation) for a given chemical structure.

This can be measured by the C* value in the L*C*h cylindrical CIELAB 1976 color space system.

Superior dispersibilityAll batches have outstanding and reproducible

dispersibility with no aggregates above 5 microns.
