Community Collaboration Division
The Community Partnership Division was
established in January 2013 with the intended
purpose and
responsibility for creating and
forming community
partnerships between law
enforcement, other
government agencies, non-profit,
private businesses, schools, media
and community organizations
throughout the Baltimore
Metropolitan area. This
has been established and maintained
by four pillars.
Community Policing

Re-Entry
Youth Matters/Explorers
Community Policing
Goal- to build out a successful
community policing component in each
district
How?- By providing members tools
and information such as Baltimore City
History and diversity components, teaching
forms of effective communication,
encouraging each post officer to become
involved in community meetings and events,
partnering with shareholders to create safer
schools, employment, housing and health.

Collaborate with community and faith based organization partners, to
improve the lives of offenders returning from incarceration and assist them in
becoming productive members of the community, through services focusing on

It is the mission of the Explorers
Program to cultivate youth into
productive
citizens through career development
in law enforcement therefore,
developing healthier, safer
neighborhoods while promoting
leadership,
nonviolence, and diversity in the
future law enforcement of the
Baltimore
City Police Department.
