When Sarla laughed,it turned pink. IfSarla was angry, itgrew red.

When Sarla was sad,the kite would turnblue. Sometimes iteven turned yellow.When Sarlachattered happily, itgrew green.

One day, the kitesoared high in thesky. Sarla giggled asshe held the stringand said, “Fly! Flyhigher, kite!”

The kite flew higherand went past theclouds.

It met a little fairythere. The fairy washappy to meet thekite too.

They whispered toeach other. Theyeven flew together.

Sarla pulled at thestring as it wasgetting late.

The kite said, “I mustgo now. My friend iscalling me.”

The fairy gave her aparting gift of CloudIce-cream.It was fluffy andsoft!

The kite said, “Wewill meet again.”“I’ll come and seeyou,” said thefairy. The kite gavethe fairy’s gift toSarla. Cloud Ice-cream!
