2 HYDRAULICS

2.1 MECHANICALLY-ACTUATED SELECTIVE CONTROL VALVES -

M-SCV

The M-SCVs provide a full range of features whichgives the flexibility to operate all hydraulic equipmenton the farm. The M-SCVs are located at the rear of thetractor. The selective control valves may be used inany of the available positions.Three different M-SCV versions are available: 100 Series, 200 Series or 300 Series. These M-SCVscan only be used with PFC hydraulic system withaxial piston pump.The M-SCV field kit contains as well thecorresponding quick couplers. The below listedactuating parts have to be ordered separately accordingto the mounting position of the M-SCV and this partsinclude the new color-coded dust protection housings.

Coolant pre-heaterA cold start - defined as a start with an enginetemperature lower than 10°C - places stress on theengine. Due to the quick and unbalanced heating of theengine, parts wear out more rapidly. With the help of acoolant heater the engine block is warmed andtherefore provides an easier start and reduces wear. Furthermore, it is important that the engine reaches it’soptimum operating temperature as fast as possible.This reduces fuel consumption and reduces exhaustemissions. Result: lower operating costs and lessenvironmental pollution.

4.1 LIGHTS

Headlights H4, beltline-mountedThese adjustable head lamps are fitted left and right tothe beltline of the cab. The halogen-type H4 bulbsprovide excellent illumination to the front and arestrongly recommended if front mounted equipment isto be used, especially e.g. for highway use when aloader or front linkage mounted implements obscurethe beam of the normal head lamps.

HMS IIThe second generation of HMS can reduce thenumber of manual tasks you perform by up to 80%. Itcan help gain you time in the field and ensure yourheadland operations are as precise at the end of the dayas they were when your started your work. Forexample, with one push of a switch, you can raise thehitch, adjust a hydraulically driven implement, shut offthe PTO, disengage the MFWD and turn off thedifferential lock. All this is done in the sequence youset and the system can repeat the manoeuvresaccording to a programmed distance. Touch the buttonagain to return to the previous setting - field work hasnever been that easy or productive!

Pneumatic trailer brakeThe pneumatic trailer brake system consists basicallyof a two line system. This is the same as used today oncommercial vehicles.Pre-braking function:

• short brake pedal travel allows braking of thetrailer without braking the tractor. This feature isrequired to control the trailer and prevent jackknifing.

• A quick release valve opens the trailer brakeimmediately after release of the brake pedal forbetter acceleration.

Single line systems for pneumatic trailer brakes areavailable as well.
