Admission Restrictions German-wide admission restrictions (numerus clausus (NC) – degree programmes such as medicine, pharmacy, veterinary, dentistry. Study places awarded by Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung. Qualifying for Courses National regulation for students studying IB – Six courses – 3 HL & 3 SL – 2 years continuous – Two languages A/B – 1 must be foreign language as Language A or B HL – Social science – history, geography, economics – Natural Science – biology, chemistry, physics – Math – SL or HL – HL if science SL – Additional subject – e.g. visual art, music, SEHS, science, humanities etc. – grades above 4, minimum 24 points from 6 subjects. Can tolerate grade 3
if 5 in same group – No self taught subjects – exception is mother tongue language – Proof completed within 2 years – Proof 12 years of study

Uni-assist – Planning your application
Step 1 – Get Information in Advance: • Find out if uni-assist is
responsible for handling your application
• Get information on courses offered at each university of interest
• Check admission criteria • Check application
deadlines
Step 2 – Plan Your Application: • Note information on
deadlines and processing times
• Read notes on special application processes
Step 3 – Assemble Your Documents • Obtain the
documents required by the university
• Check documents and information at uni-assist.de
• Have documents translated if required
• Obtain certified copies of certificate and translations
• Make digital copies of application documents
Uni-assist – Planning your application Step 4 – Apply On-line • Register with the
online portal • Create an online
application for each of the chosen course
• Upload your documents
• Submit all online applications electronically
Step 5 – Pay All Fees • Check handling
fees and payment options at uni-assist.de
• Pay the handling fees for all applications
• 75 € 1st course 30 € additional courses (max 5 courses)
Step 6 – Send • Put all certificate
document copies into an envelope
• If paying by credit card: add the signed credit card form to the documents in the envelope
• Add the required postage and send to uni-assist by post
Step 7 – Track • After they receive your payment and application your will receive confirmation of receipt by email
• After about 4-6 weeks the status of online portal will change and you will receive the result of the evaluation by email and letter
• Read the evaluation carefully: is everything in order or are documents missing?
• If documents are missing, you will need to submit them by the application deadline
