Durrat Al-Arus

The Durrat Al-Arus project is a major private development by SCRC( Saudi Company

For Recreation Centers - A Dallah Company) for a complete stand alone leisure

complex. It will include 448 Luxury Villas, a 70 room hotel, a Marina Complex with

349 Berths, an Equestrian Race Course, Golf Course, Aqua Park, Theme Park and

Recreation Areas.

Package A was the dredging, contouring, shore protection and initial ground preparation.

Package B included all infra-structure and site development for a 2.1 million m2

beach development resort including 12km of underground pipe laying for potable

water system, storm water system and drainage sewer system. The project also

includes compact substations, LV & MV network, street lighting, telecommunication

and CATV distribution networks including all related civil works.

From the scope of the site development some of the main quantities involved are :

• 47-compact substation 500 to 1000 KVA • Potable Water System

• 28,500 M-13.8 KV Ring Main Units & MV cabling • Irrigation Network

• 49,600 M-LV(600/1000V)cable • Storm Water Network

• 125 no.-LV Distribution Switchgear • Drainage Sewer System Network

• 600 no.-light poles • Lift Stations • Telecommunication system with PABX • CATV system
