Mr. Kushal Shah (Student)

Message from Principal’s

Desk

“You will never regret being kind”.

It gives us immense pleasure to present the

third issue of NSS newsletter “AWAKEN -

KINDLING HUMANITY” which depicts

the activities performed by the NSS

volunteers throughout the year spreading the

message of serving humanity and kindle the

young minds to be part of this noble cause.

Hope this issue unfurls the activities and

materializes its objective.

This issue of NSS newsletter “AWAKEN -

KINDLING HUMANITY” will give you the

panoramic view of the regular and special

activities undertaken by the NSS unit during

academic year 2018-19. Regular activities

includes Celebrating Yoga Day, Tree

Plantation, Clean India Campaign, Seminars

on the burning issues, etc. and special

activities include District Level Camp and 7-

days Annual Camp organised at adopted

village Chapaberaja. The strenuous efforts of

all the NSS volunteers have been exemplary

for the generations to come.

We take this special opportunity to greet and

accord a special thanks to my fellow staff

members, NSS advisory committee, NSS

team and all the NSS student volunteers

whose contribution to the issue of this edition

of newsletter, cannot be described in words .

Thank you all!!

Chief Editor,

Ms. Aqsa Durani Khatri

I feel elated to express

words of appreciation to the members of the

editorial team for their relentless efforts in

preparing “AWAKEN-KINDLING

HUMNITY” a record of the NSS activities

conducted in 2018-19.

I congratulate the NSS unit who put in sincere

efforts to plan the myriad social outreach

activities, which gave out a clear message to

the society and the students to build a better

India. All the activities Helped build the

personality and character of the students,

through their voluntary community service.

The event that brought out the best in the our

students was the NSS camp where the students

learnt dignity of labour and it also brought

them closer to the rural India and its problems.

I appreciate the work of the Ms. Aqsa Khatri –

NSS Programme officer for guiding and

executing all the planned tasks.

I announce the release of the third edition of

“AWAKEN-KINDLING HUMNITY” as a reflector of the Vibrant NSS unit 2018-19 of our College.

Ms. Snehal Kotak Palan

National Service Scheme

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year in 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community (esp. Villages) linkage.

Benefits of Being a NSS Volunteer:

A NSS volunteer who takes part in the community service programme would either be a college level or a senior secondary level student. Being an active member these student volunteers would have the exposure and experience to be the following:

an accomplished social leader an efficient administrator a person who understands human nature
