Department of Commerce BPS & CM conducted guest lecture on “AN OVERVIEW OF BPO INDUSTRY

FROM HR PERSPECTIVE-2018” on 14/09/2018 - Chief Guest –Mr. Vijayendran.K, Chief Operating Officer,

Co-Founder NEXUS , Coimbatore ,at Seminar Hall II

Department of Commerce BPS & CM conducted one day workshop on communication skills and mock

interview for third year BPS students on 25.9.2018 - Chief Guest- Mrs. Mrs.Pratima, Mr.Dominic, Mr.Craig

TCS Chennai.

Department of Computer Technology organized a seminar on Communication Skills on 18th

September 2018 for

First Year Computer Technology Students.The Resource Person for the Programmes is Mr.M.Christopher

Gnanaraj and Ms. Sudha Princely,Managing Partner and Linguist,SCOPE. A total of 124 Students Participate in

the Programmes.

Department of Electronics and Communication Systems organized a guest lecture on Industry 4.0 and its

Significance on 6.9.2018 for III B.Sc.ECS and II M.Sc ECS Students.The Resource person for the program is

Mr.D.Rajashekaran From Axis global Automation,Coimbatore.A total of 69 Students are participated in the

program

Department of Social Work organized a Guest Lecture on “Problem Solving Techniques” for students on 11th

September 2018. The resource person for the guest lecture is Mr.Souvmeshwaran, Counsellor, Kasthurba

Gandhi Deaddiction Centre, Coimbatore.

Department of Social Work organized a Guest Lecture on “HR Trends” for students on 25th

September 2018.

Department of Tamil organized Naadagam (I round) 05.09.2018 for students. A total of 6 Team Participated in

September 2018 for Second

year BCA & SS Students. A total of 173 Students participated in the programme

September 2018 for

Mr.Prashanth, Senior Developer, Zeta Global, Chennai. A total of 650 Students participated in the programme

Department of Information Technology organized a 2 days Workshop on “Digital Electronics Circuits” on

11/09/2018 & 14/09/2018 for first year B.Sc IT A and B students. A total of 120 students participated in the

programme.

Department of Information Technology organized a Power Seminar on “Employability Skills for the future” on

15 September 2018 for all our computer science students. A total of 900 students participated in the programme.

Department of Information Technology organized a One day seminar on “Android Mobile Application” on 17th

September 2018 for second and third year B.Sc IT and second year PG students. The Resource Persons for the

Programme are Ms. Christy Ezabella A, Xplore IT Corp, Coimbatore. A total of 240 students participated in the

programme.

Department of Information Technology organized a One day seminar on “Software Testing Tools” on 18th

September 2018 for second and third year B.Sc IT and Second year M.Sc IT students. The Resource Persons for

the Programme is Mr. Srisankar, Technical Head, Elysium Academy, Coimbatore. A total of 240 students

participated in the programme.

September 2018 for first year B.Sc IT A and B students. A total of 120 students participated in the programme.

Department of psychology organized a Guest lecture on “Learning Disability” on 4th

September for first year

13/08/2018 - Organized handloom awareness programme by conducting fabric collage competition for I B.Sc

CDF students. The students created the spinning wheel, India map, and Gandhiji logo and expressed their views

towards handloom

15/08/2018 – II B.Sc CDF Students created Dye and block print in Gada Fabric with spinning wheel logo in the

pallu area. It is displayed in the1 Krishna hall at the time of Independence day celebration

3/09/2018 – Organized Guest Lecture for II B.Sc CDF on the topic Scope of Technical Textiles presented by

Dr. Senthil Kumar, Technical Head RND incubation and apparel NIFT TEA Tirupur

4/09/2018-06/2018 organized 3 days workshop on surface ornamentation and embellishment to enhance the

embroidery skills of II B.Sc CDF students.

04/09/2018-5/09/2018 Organized 2 days workshop on Fashion Sketching for I B.Sc CDF students by Suresh

15/09/2018 – Organized Guest Lecture and hands on training on “Professional Portfolio” which comprises of

diversity of portfolio, making layout development, portfolio case selection, binding material sourcing and list of

portfolio blogs and website from Prof.Mr. Kumaraguru, NIFT Kannur

28/09/2018 – Certificate distribution from handloom fashion show

28/09/2015 an interactive session was held for final year students for preparing NIFT and NID entrance

examination by GOS Institution

September 2018 for the Commerce students. The Resource persons for the programme are

programme.
