ACTIVITIESHello Incoming Freshmen,

My name is Neal Peterson. I am the former Student Body Presi-dent here at UW – Stout. I brought up the idea to have students create their own Bucket List when they first come onto campus, ideally aligning with Week One Orientation. This activity will al-low you to think about what you would like to get out of your college experience and set goals to accomplish before you grad-uate.

I challenge you to select 8 items from the list, or come up with some on your own, that you want to complete before you gradu-ate. Some of these items could happen quickly; however, some may take some time and planning to be able to achieve them.

It is important that you take your time and really think this ac-tivity through. If you do take this seriously, you will get a better idea of what you really want out of your college experience. When you look back at this a few years from now, you may find that what you had wanted to accomplish a few years ago might not be on your bucket list anymore. This is certainly true for me. When I first came onto campus, I did not think I would ever run to become the President of the Student Body. Three years later, I did just that.

So, the real question is, what is on your Stout Bucket List?
