Medical devices are effective tools to screen, diagnosis, provide treatment or to manage the disease or illness whenit can't be cured.

Initially, in 2008, the World Health Organization (WHO)has initiated a survey globally and estimated that 1.5 millionmedical devices exist, in more than 10,000 types of genericdevice groups.

The significant demand for the use of appropriate medicaldevices is to diagnose mainly the tumours to manage theclinical interventions.

Difference Between Tumour and Cancer

Clinicians systematic review better understand the difference between tumours andcancers, where tumours are considered as a mass of cells and cancers are the life-threatening tumours.

It becomes essential to use efficient medical devices to capture the circulating tumourcells in the bloodstream to provide potential evidence for early detection of cancer.

A novel, sophisticated technology of medical devices has been introduced to detectthe tumour cells through a noninvasive procedure.

Clinical Researchers have designed a device called cytophone which detects cancer-causing cells inside the patient's body.

This device shots the laser pulses on the blood vessels of a person's hand that is fixedin a customized holder.

When the laser beams catch the passing through melanoma cells, it heats the pigmentinside and produces sound waves that are detectable by an ultrasound transducer.

This device can detect circulating tumours in skin cancer patients and also detectssmall blood clots.

A novel device which is ultrasensitive is used to detect mainly ovarian cancereven in the minimum amount of plasma or in patient's blood droplet is the lab-on-a-chip.

In this scientific research technique, it combines and senses with the biologicalelements depending on the herringbone pattern, and pushes the exosomes incontact with the chip's which is more efficiently sensing surface and this processis known as"mass transfer".

Another device developed by Michigan engineers and doctors was a wearabledevice, which could accurately diagnose and treat cancer more effectively.

This device was experimented on animals initially, and observed circulating tumourcells in the blood and was captured to eliminate tumour cells permanently.

Further, scientific analysis in the process of development, the gadget that filters theblood was used to diagnose and later used to treat metastatic cancer in humans.

Conclusion

These devices bring out early and effective detection of disease with thenoninvasive process.

Its potential evaluation might provide accurate information to doctors to treat theirpatients at the initial stage.

As the diagnosis through medical devices is comparatively cheaper, easier andreliable to producean accurate diagnosis, further scientists would expand theapplications of the medical devices in detecting other various diseases.
